  1. You beat me to it. I was just about to edit it.
  2. Being the natural cynic I am I wouldn't put it past any Government to manipulate a released report to suit their own agenda. Having said that if anybody thinks we don't have a problem in this country and sporting bodies in inparticular with PIED's and recreational drugs, then they are blowing smoke up their own clacker. It's a genuine issue that is escalating at an alarming rate.
  3. Only half told. How it will end is anybodies guess, triumph or tragedy. Unfortunately at the moment it's looking more like the latter.
  4. Surely the charge would be bringing the AFL into further disrepute.
  5. Is that confession an official confession or an unofficial confession?
  6. This really is a story of extreme sadness. I wish him well. Somewhere in the middle of this mess is a story that needs to be told.
  7. Yes. Going on the attack without any real justification is a primary indicator of deflection, as is belittling people. People deflect because they fear being exposed.
  8. I would have liked Garry to have gone a little harder and land a knockout blow, but at the end of the day she finished up looking pretty silly. It would have been nice to see Hutchinson contribute something to a segment he introduced to the show. As for Lloyd. Surely a cardboard cut out of Grant Thomas would have done a better job.
  9. Excellent.
  10. Sorry Whispering. Physical leakage is when a person starts to lose minor control of their body language. Slumping in chairs, restless feet, incessant finger tapping, dry lips are typical indicators .It has to be said that in an extreme case it can indeed result in people losing control of their bladder, however I am not suggesting that in this case, although only the studio cleaner will ever really know.
  11. When Garry called her out on the assertion that the media never questioned the players performance she responded in a very interesting manner. She actually looked stunned, her arms crossed and she retracted back in to her seat in a typical fight or flight response that was also an over reaction. The over reaction is also a typical response of someone who is not being totally honest and overcompensates when challenged. She then feigned ignorance but her physical leakage was copy book, She knew that she had been caught out. Her next response was also indicative of someone who knew that she was exposed. By going on the attack and questioning Garry's integrity she gained valuable thinking time, and was able to bury that question. Make no mistakes she was lying about that particular question. Or at least unofficially she was.
  12. This depresses me immensely. To think that people actually believe this is the role of Journalism. Woodward and Bernstein would be turning over in their graves, if they were dead. I would love to see The Rages HR departments Job description for the position of Journalist. " Must be able to get attention and provoke a reaction" To me that describes "EBOLA VIRUS".
  13. I stand corrected and humbly apologise to the Oracle of Apollo for the outrageous slur that I have cast upon her good character.
  14. Billy I understand your thinking on Wilson. Why would she put so much on the line over this? But then again why would DM also risk everything with his statement. Given that we know DM has read the report and we have no way of knowing if Wilson has or hasn't, I for one would back Dons account. To me Wilson is trying her damnedest to influence a outcome that she knows is pending. A bit like a politician in the last days of an election campaign. The fact is she went way too hard from the start and has been slinging mud ever since to justify her position. More than anybody Wilson needs to AFL to charge us with something. As to her motivations I can only suggest that she has become a victim of her own over inflated ego and in her mind she simply cannot be wrong.
  15. My reading of Wilson's stance is that it's continually shifting. Continuity seems to be a real problem. Last week on classified she stated that the MFC would be charged along with Bailey and Cuddles. This assertion seems to have dropped off the radar in the last week. Previously she has asserted that Schwab was going to be charged and now is back tracking on that statement. She continues to make deceptive comments in regards to the vault. I'm surprised that people continue to hang off her every word as if she's the Oracle of bloody Delphi. Who by the way was a mad woman experiencing hallucinations caused by a gas leak from a volcanic vent.
  16. You say that likes it's a bad think. By all means have a go at Ben, but leave his Avatar alone.
  17. Sorry Cameron I've already holstered the pistol. Nicely said DON and much appreciated by the faithful
  18. Bravo P man
  19. Never made a Joke in the last 4 years 55? Maybe he already has. People make silly mistakes all the time. I believe he has already paid a price in this regard. Maybe he is, which by the way is a selfless act by a person who truly loves his club, and I admire him all the more for it should he choose that course. Maybe Wilson and co have made the mistake and that Cuddles was simply misrepresented. They better.
  20. + one. Stand firm DON
  21. I think Cuddles contributions to the club both on and off the field far outweighs either yours or mine.
  22. What performance? We very nearly stole a match that most experts tipped us to lose. Revisionist history aside I actually agree with you. That address to the players would have made interesting listening. But it also underlines my point. As club we have spent most of the last 45 years baulking at shadows, hearing footsteps and taking short steps and where has that got us. The end result is we have a Football Club that many perceive as standing for nothing or worse irrelevant. As I said I see this as an opportunity to finally address this perceptions and begin to rebuild our club into the club we would all aspire it to be. To buckle under again would just confirm what many already believe.
  23. So your hoping the Board offers up poor cuddles Connolly as the sacrificial lamb guilty or not. After we have betrayed one of our own loyal servants, because we personally don't have the stomach for the fight, how do we as an organisation address our Football Department. "Now guys I realise that we as an organisation have committed an act of spineless betrayal against cuddles, but don't worry cos we got your back. Now go out there and play like Demons and not like Demon board members". To me a sporting clubs Life force is the that wonderful notion of loyalty. Standing by your people when they need you most. Setting the ethos and leading by example. I know that its a professional sport but that doesn't mean it's exclusive of integrity and commitment. I believe that this integrity filters down through organistation and becomes part of our club culture. Giving us as supporters something to be proud of. We ask a lot of our player on field , demanding courage and commitment sometimes at their own physical peril and yet in the past have shied away from the same courageous commitment off field. I see this as an opportunity for the club to break the habits that have condemned us for the last 45 odd years. Sadly I know that notion of loyal and inspiration leadership in todays world is an abstract concept that some people will never comprehend. Mores the pity.
  24. Lets just walk a mile in CC's shoes for a minute. You make a flippant throw away comment in a meeting 3 years ago and suddenly you face the prospect of being charged with bringing the game you love and serve into disrepute. Honestly who amongst us would not defend their own reputation and integrity against the charge. Personally I would defend myself with vigour. The thought of my reputation being tarnished over a rather innocuous comment made years prior would be unacceptable in the extreme, my reputation means everything to me. Still I accept that some people aren't as commited to their reputations as I. Each to their own I guess.
  25. If Wilson is right in her contention that CC will be charged with "bringing the game into disrepute" I for one feel for poor Gill McLachlan . How does he bring the charges of bringing the game into disrepute when seemingly no rules have been broken. How can you bring the game into disrepute when you have abided by the rules as defined at that moment of time. If it's based on CC remarks then I would suggest that "The bringing the game into disrepute charge" is a bigger can of worms than the Tanking charge
