I think your on to something here WJ. I'm reading this as an attempt by the HUN to muddy the waters of the ASADA investigation, the hypocrisy is monumental. This appears to be a calculated move aimed at discrediting ASADA and prejudicing the entire process.

Intraclub Practice Match - Thursday 20th February, 2014

Fitzy is huge. He has a big arse which defenders will struggle to get past once on a lead. -
Intraclub Practice Match - Thursday 20th February, 2014
Outside fifty replied to furious d's topic in Melbourne Demons
First time I've been to pre season training this year so I'm probably not much of a judge. Fitzy looked super impressive, although his kicking technique still worries me. His marking has improved dramatically. Watts was very effective and seemed to be everywhere. Salem is a lot bigger than I'd been led to believe and will play senior footy this year. Michie was good all game as was Viney. Didn't see much of Tyson though, but that could be me not recognising half the players. Both Gawn and Spencer played well without dominating, and King does show a lot of potential. I think it was Jaydn Hunt (29) who also looked impressive. All in all a good hit out in very windy conditions. -
Dean Bailey Diagnosed With Cancer

Good luck Dean. Best wishes to you and your Family. -
Sorry Ron can't agree. Bennell was one player I could never warm too. I struggled to see any of his strengths but was conscious of a lot of his deficiencies.

Disappointed to see Taggert delisted. Thought the kid had some potential, still i've always been a crap judge of talent.

Good get. Welcome Viv.

2013 Player Review - # 43 Rory Taggert
Outside fifty replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Saw the game against Box Hill last year and I like Big Kev, I was seriously excited. A couple of games later and he was out for the rest of the year. The Kid has had some serious injuries to overcome and this has clearly hampered his development. He also played well in his one and only NAB cup game against PT Adelaide earlier this year. I think the idea of playing him forward for most of this year was to primarily manage his back problems . I believe the kid has a real upside that its worth persisting with him for at least another year. -
So far so good, in fact better than ever. Thanks for the effort guys much appreciated.

If we do have to wait for Dew an extra 12 months would that then translate as Roos staying on as coach for a third year? Either way I would be happy.

Any good Ad man will tell you that when you've got nothing to sell you can still sell hope. Having said that the relationship the MFC is developing with Hogan comes across as very needy and desperate. Lets give the kid some space and let him find his feet in the game before we drive him away.

Noooooooooooooo! Football clubs are made up of a wide and diverse range of personalities, and for the most can accommodate most. There are however exceptions to the rule and The Super [censored] that is Dusty is one of those.

Just read this thread top to bottom and I must say it's a page turner. Having never posted on demonology I found this thread akin to the The Da Vinci code with it's obscure references, shadowy figures, secret societies and red herrings. Dan Brown take note here lies the basis of your next book.

MFC's Virgin Australia Film Festival Video
Outside fifty replied to PartyTimeJohnny's topic in Melbourne Demons
As bad as the past 6 or so years have been on field there are still times when I'm extremely proud to be a supporter of the MFC, this is one of those time. All the best Sam,Sydney and Bradvermont. -
Welcome aboard Paul Roos. Like Deeoldfart I have witnessed too many false dawns that have ultimately ended in failure and humiliation. I know I should be more wary and circumspect given our fortunes over the past 50 years, and yet for some reason I'm walking taller today. I guess that like most on here I'm a sucker for a good resurrection. Thanks Paul.

Thanks DD36. It's interesting that the AFL was concerned enough to make the approach to Roos as early as round 2 and yet the club was seemingly content with Neeld at the helm.
-
Great News Dazzle. I don't doubt what you are saying but is the time line right? If so that would mean that Schwab and Mclardy would have made the initial approach, or am I reading that wrong.

I couldn't care less what Sam Newman said about any subject and specifically football. The man is irrelevant. -

Behaviours and symptoms that are associated with a sociopathic profile. Makes interesting reading Glibness and Superficial Charm Manipulative and Conning They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims. Grandiose Sense of Self Feels entitled to certain things as "their right." Pathological Lying Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests. Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Outside fifty replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hird is at the point of no return. He may still believe he can escape with his reputation in tact, but that is quite clearly delusional . I am reminded of the photograph of Lance Armstrong posing in front of his 7 yellow jerseys after USADA had investigated him. Lance seemed to almost enjoy the moment. A reasonable person in Hird's position would have backed down long ago. You would do it for your Club and the game you love not to mention your family and friends. What does that say about the man that he refuses to accept responsibility for the mess he has created. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

As he has done so from the start Hird is playing a game of brinkmanship. He understands that he has nothing to lose by doing so and is comfortable with the notion that me may bring the whole competition down. -

I doubt it. I get the feeling that the final ASADA report will be DYNAMITE. It's then and only then that any charges against the players will be laid.
