From memory from last year - quite often you'd hear the rookie elevations at about 5:30PM on a Thursday, and then the teams named at 6:25PM. I reckon he'll be upgraded and will play

Jeff Garlett Misses Court Appearance

You don't think it was important enough to bother mentioning to the club when he signed on? -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL WHITE

Brett Anderson @BrettAndersonIF 11m11 minutes ago Pumped that Mitch White got a chance. Stingrays' rave about him but just had a bad run with injuries. #AFLDraft -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - OSCAR MCDONALD
IWAP replied to Dee-licious's topic in Melbourne Demons
Andrew Bevan @BevanAbevan Nov 16 @emmasq what range do you see Oscar McDonald going?? Emma Quayle @emmasq Nov 16 @BevanAbevan 20s or 30s. Big improver! And from Callum Twomey's phantom draft: OSCAR McDONALD – 18/3/96, 196cm, 84kg, North Ballarat Rebels Clubs' late interest in McDonald was evident in the fact he was upgraded to attend the national draft combine at Etihad Stadium, having previously only been invited to the state screening. The tall defender is a good option for clubs trying to find his type: he's strong and tough, disciplined and works hard. He had a consistent second half of the season despite not featuring in Vic Country's under-18 team, and has had a number of recruiters push him up in recent weeks. The Kangaroos are interested, they placed a bid on Brisbane Lions academy tall defender Harris Andrews, and it looks an area to bolster. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
IWAP replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Heard him say he was originially from Perth, and was a big Pavlich fan. Had some autograph or signed picture from him when he was only 3 years old. Boy that makes me feel old! Doesn't feel so long ago that Pav first debuted. -
Thanks for the service Michael. I hope we don't rookie list him.

Regarding the Farmer description, as far as I recollect Lyon still kicked the goal after the handpass in the goalsquare. Then he told Jeff off. Is my memory playing tricks on me? -
Sounds like they aren't ruling out the possibility of him returning. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-11-12/barry-steps-away-from-afl “The Melbourne Football Club will be working with Dom and will be making a submission to the AFL under the exceptional and compelling circumstances. This would, if approved, allow the opportunity for Dom to reengage with the Melbourne Football Club, should Dom rekindle his passion for AFL.

We did extend his contract for two more years, just a few months ago. Obviously the football department saw some potential in him, that many of the posters in this thread did not.

Love the concept. If I'm following it correctly, James McDonald v Todd Viney will be the pick of the predicted round of 16 matchups. -
And a nice little parting shot at Carlton and Mick Malthouse. I'm sensing a pattern here. https://soundcloud.com/sen1116/brock-mclean-in-the-morning-glory-studio

Also worth noting that the article mentions Max King getting retained for another year. Good on him!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM FROST

Stkilda confirmed they had some interest in Frost if we didn't get the deal done. I feel slightly better. -
Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]
IWAP replied to Dr evil's topic in Melbourne Demons
I feel slightly squeamish bringing this up. But Andrew McKay mentioned there has been interest shown in Mitch Robinson in the past 24 hours. Does anyone think it could be us, either as a late pick/dfa? He is a moron of the highest order, but I hate to say it, he'd fill a role for us on the field if we could overcome the [censored] factor -

I know mids are the priority - but I wonder whether someone like Josh Walker might be more willing to move if Geelong recruit Rhys Stanley on top of Clark -

Essendon also made an approach. I love him already. -

Great fit for us. Interesting background story to the kid. Was essentially homeless while playing for Swan Districts. -
Oh no. Not Robbie My first memory of watching footy was the great man zipping down the wing. What a sad day for all of football.
-
I think he'd be handy but I'm concerned about his asking price. He's got 2 years left in his contract. I really hope we don't give up much for a player who will be 30 before the season starts.
-
He's not all bad. He did get the hopes up of Collingwood supporters for nothing
-
Just don't see how he will ever get a game in their lineup with Hawkins / Clark and potentially Vardy in their forward line.
-
Clark for Josh Walker anyone? Looks reasonable from what I've seen him and surely Clark will be taking his spot
-
No talent Poor off-field behaviour Openly disrespectful to our club Where do I sign?
-
Similar number of disposals, but on average Tapscott has had 50% more time on ground than Lyons.
