  1. Well the best 22 part may have been a bit strong since i haven't seen him in how many years, and as mentioned, he was a bit of a liability. But if he was somehow reformed (a big if) he wouldn't be competing with any of those four for a spot. He'd slot in to the forward line, where we could certainly use a bit of flair.
  2. Carl Peterson is a talent. If his head is in the right place (it wasn't when he was delisted by the Hawks), he'd easily be in our best 22.
  3. peter ryan ‏@AFL_petryan 1h Neville Jetta will keep training @melbournefc through this exchange period Sounds like he is a chance for our rookie list.
  4. I don't agree that its a scattergun approach at all, but performing genuinely better on the field is the best form of rebuttal
  5. I liked it better when we weren't giving up pick 20 as well
  6. I think we can relax. Even the person who wrote the article doesn't think it will happen Emma Quayle ‏@emmasq 25m GWS keen on Melbourne's pick 2, for Buntine, Bugg & pick 9. Can't see Dees doing it, but interesting offer.
  7. That Myers, Kommer and Zakarakis wanted out because of the drug stuff. The latter got talked into staying. The 'wants more midfield time' just paints Essendon in a better light.
  8. If the information that i posted earlier in this thread is correct, they'll trade him. They are just trying to play hardball.
  9. Greg Denham this morning also mentioned we were shopping around Rohan Bail along with these two. I don't think we'll have to hire extra staff to handle the influx of interested parties.
  10. Call me Demi Moore in Indecent Proposal. I'd never thought I'd agree to trade him, but when someone offers you a million dollars, you take it!
  11. Would do this in a heartbeat (but don't believe it for a second)
  12. I'm not a big fan of the succession plan, but I think its better than our process of appointing our last two senior coaches, even without taking into account the Paul Roos factor.
  13. Sam Landsberger ‏@SamLandsberger 2m Talk that the Dees would love to downgrade pick 2 for a quality mid and a pick which could still see them snag Kade Kolodjashnij. Unlikely.
  14. Apparently Kane Lucas being shopped around, although doesn't want to leave. A couple of clubs including us and one of the WA clubs expressed some interest (no way would he get into Freo's midfield).
  15. Greg Denham on SEN this morning restated that Shiel asked to be traded to Victoria, but GWS were firm about keeping him. Its nothing new, but it still gives me a glimmer of hope.
  16. Brisbane Lions ‏@brisbanelions 4m The Club can advise that it has NOT entertained, or entered into, any trade discussions surrounding Vice-Captain @rockwiz38
  17. C'mon AFL. Make it a 2nd round after our pick. You owe us after shafting us with no priority pick.
  18. Someone from Melbourne will be on Trade Radio tomorrow, so we'll get some more info then
  19. I find it amusing that Giants need a statement that they are going to withdraw their offer? Its not like he can join both clubs!
  20. My favourite bit was that this was made possible by Mitch Morton retiring!
  21. Its a tricky one - but i'd still look into the Myers situation (i'm assuming there is information not publicly available about the likelihood of him being sanctioned). I think there is a chance at getting him for significantly less than market value given I do not believe Essendon would want to be seen as playing hard ball on players wanting to leave given the circumstances.
