  1. Maybe not. I'm quietly confident that Jesse will sign a contract extension at some stage in 2016.
  2. You want to see Oliver debut round 11? I don't want to wait that long.
  3. My parents would have to be exceptionally cruel people for me to have a brother named Jack. Thankfully, they're not cruel.
  4. Geez, how much fitter does Vandenberg look?? He was superb in his first year but I reckon we will see him take his game to a whole new level next year. Could be anything.
  5. There's a lady that I work with that actually looks very similar to this.I think of this 'wat' meme when I look at her. She always has spelling mistakes in her emails, she regularly calls in sick and this one time she wore crocs to work.
  6. I wouldn't go as far as saying that we will win a premiership in 2018 or even be in contention but this is what I'm expecting our best 22 to look like: FB: N Jetta T McDonald O McDonald HB: B Stretch S Frost J Melksham C: C Salem A Brayshaw D Tyson HF: C Petracca J Hogan C Oliver FF: J Garlett S Weideman D Kent R: M Gawn J Viney D Prestia I: M King (either one) J Harmes A Neal-Bullen A Vandenberg E: T Bugg B Kennedy M White This team factors in the inclusion of Prestia during next years trade period. It doesn't include any players 30 or over. It doesn't include any other future traded in players or draft picks which could potentially bolster our team further. Not a bad looking team on paper!
  7. Nope. Watched him very closely as he was in my Supercoach side at one stage. He just isn't up to AFL standard.
  8. I didn't know clubs could pre-select in the rookie draft. Well there you go.
  9. Got mine in the mail yesterday and it included my scarf. Happy days.
  10. A few of the standout things from the highlight package on the MFC website. - Smashes through contests like a raging bull - Lays bone-crunching tackles - Looks like he has a heap of time when he has possession - Makes good decisions with ball in hand - Can execute a perfect handpass even whilst getting tackled - Is excellent at taking overhead marks - Can push forward and kick goals Very happy to have this kid at the MFC and here's hoping for a long and successful career.
  11. Ohh the guy who emphatically stated no less than a week ago that Curnow would be our first picked, that guy? We could very well end up selecting Oliver but Brett Anderson would have just as much clue as you or I.
  12. Twomey and Quayle have exactly the same first 16 picks. Interesting.
  13. I wasn't referring to their height, I was referring to their build. Fyfe started out as just skin and bones, Parish is very light too. Just because Parish is 10cms shorter than Fyfe doesn't mean there isn't potential for him to put on a heap of muscle just like Fyfe has. Don't get me started on the height of midfielders either, there are plenty of current 'small' mids who are elite.
  14. I think he's getting his McKay's and Mathieson's confused.
  15. Harder to pick than a broken nose but I'll have a dip.. B: Jetta, McDonald, Garland HB: Salem, Dunn, Vince C: Tyson, N Jones, Vandenberg HF: Petracca, Hogan, Watts F: Garlett, Dawes, Kent Foll: Gawn, Viney, Brayshaw I: Neal-Bullen, Trengove, Harmes, Frost Any of Melksham, Kennedy or Bugg could be best 22 as well but impossible to tell at this stage without having seen them play in the red and blue.
  16. Unless there is an absolute stand out interstate player available then I would much prefer to use our pick 3 and 7 on a couple of VIC boys. Any two of Curnow, Oliver, Parish or Weideman sounds good to me. The go home factor in today's footy landscape is very real.
  17. Nah, it was Toumpas that received the majority of the votes.
  18. Happy for us to draft him on his name alone.
  19. Sydney will match it though. There is no doubt about that.
