WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
ben russell replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
After watching that highlights package and hearing him speak, I'm very excited to have this kid at the club. Kicks for goal on his right but predominantly uses his left during general play. Looks a lovely kick on both feet. He says he models his game around Joel Selwood and he certainly looks to have similarities with the way he plays. Speaks very well too and sounds very sure of himself without sounding arrogant. Can't wait to see him in the red and blue provided that the saints don't surprise the football world and take him with the first pick which is obviously very unlikely. -
Good luck to both of them. So this means we have lost 7 players and gained 3 so far. So as it stands we will be using pick 2, 3, 40 and 42 (Stretch). We will be upgrading Jetta with our last draft pick as well and you would think that we will use pick 53 seeing as though it was part of the package that resulted in us losing pick 23 to GWS. Looks like we will be delisting at least 2 more players.

Mahoney has already stated during the trade period that we have no interest in Taylor Hunt.

Just to put things into perspective, here's some successful picks from 2004 - 2010 for picks 35 - 45 (too early too tell for 2011 - 2013 drafts): Mark LeCras, Travis Cloke (father/son), Ivan Maric, Andrew Swallow, Alipate Carlisle, Alwyn Davey, Todd Goldstein, Josh P Kennedy (father/son), Tom Hawkins (father/son), Bachar Houli, Scott D Thompson, Chris Mayne, Jack Steven, Zach Clarke, Matt Broadbent, Steven Motlop, Rory Sloane, Sam Reid, Allen Christensen, Luke Parker, Tom Liberatore (father/son), Alex Fasolo. So there is a decent chance we can snare a great player at pick 40 especially with our current recruiting team.

Clark in a Geelong jumper makes me sick to my stomach. -

He's nominated St Kilda so he'll get there. No point in making a play for him. -

Hallahan to the Suns is quite interesting. You wouldn't think they would need to be adding him to their midfield which already consists of Ablett, Swallow, Prestia, Bennell, O'Meara, Martin, Lonergan and Rischitelli. Maybe the Dees are looking at bringing one of them over. Would love Prestia or Swallow in particular. O'Meara and Martin would be off limits one would imagine. -

Won't happen. Jaksch, Whiley and pick 19 from GWS are going to Carlton for pick 7. That deal is just about done as per the AFL website. -

After 1 year on the list. Is that even allowed? -

I was getting my info from my Dad via texts while he was listening to SEN. I just now learned that Jay Clark was the source. Sigh. -

Picks 2, 3 and 23 on the table along with Trengove, Toumpas and Watts. That is what has been reported anyway. -

SEN reporting the two gun players involved are Dangerfield and Treloar. Um yes please! -

Hmm perhaps our likely trade partner likes to eat little birds though. Cats come in black and white. -

GNF has already corrected himself and said it's HL, as in Heritier Lumumba.. -

Dixon's way too injury prone to be given any consideration whatsoever. In his 4 years at the Suns he's played just 10, 12, 13 and 14 games. -
Hawthorn should give him to us for free as a show of good faith for snatching Frawley.
-
Poor comment. I've lived in Geelong for almost all my life and it's a great place to live.
-
A KPD as a sub? Yeah, nah.. JKH will be the sub. Would prefer it to be Byrnes though.
-
Welcome to the round 1 team Alexis! (both the Dees and my Supercoach).
-
Drop Blease for Michie and thank me later.
-
Right now I have Grimes, Georgiou, Michie and JKH in my side. I don't think I've ever had that many Dees in my side at one time! Here's hoping they all line up round 1.
-
Georgiou was great against Richmond and if he plays another good game against Geelong then I think there's a strong chance he'll be upgraded and line up in our round 1 side. Garland may not be right for round 1 either which only increases Georgiou's chances of playing round 1.
