  1. I love our song and reckon it's the second best in the league. No need to change it.
  2. I am sold on this kid and really hope we select him with our pick 3. I know that taller midfielders are all the rage at the moment and some think that Parish is too short. Cast your eyes over this list of current players that are within 2cms of Parish or shorter and hopefully it will allay any fears; Rory Sloane: 183 Marc Murphy: 180 Steele Sidebottom: 180 Lachie Neale: 176 Joel Selwood: 182 Jaeger O'Meara: 182 Gary Ablett: 182 Dion Prestia: 175 Stephen Coniglio: 181 Dylan Shiel: 181 Sam Mitchell: 179 Nathan Jones: 180 Jack Viney: 178 Andrew Swallow: 182 Brent Harvey: 167 Travis Boak: 183 Robbie Gray: 183 Jack Steven: 180 Leigh Montagna: 178 Dan Hannebery: 181 Kieran Jack: 178 Andrew Gaff: 181 Luke Shuey: 183 Not too shabby a list that!
  3. Spotted young Darcy at one of the local pubs tonight and I tell you what, he does not look like a footballer! Told everybody I was with that he is the likely number 3 pick in this year's draft and they all called [censored]. He didn't stick around long enough for me to ask whether he was likely to put on a heap of muscle over the next few years or if he was going to get a haircut. Sorry guys and girls.
  4. I also haven't seen much of either but the reasons you have mentioned is why I'm leaning more towards Curnow.
  5. So picks 3 and 7. From the various things I have seen and read about this year's draftees, I hope we take Parish and Curnow. While I haven't seen a lot of Parish, from what I have seen, he just looks like he oozes class and also has a hardness to his game. Would be great if he were a few cm's taller but not all mids have to be 188cm plus. What he lacks in height, he appears to make up for in skill and decision making. Once again, while I have only seen limited footage, Curnow looks and sounds like he could be anything. At worst I think he will be a great target with safe hands alongside Hogan. At best, I think he is the closest thing to Bontempelli in this draft, in that he also has the potential to dominate through the midfield. The whispers would suggest the club is very much interested in both of them.
  6. See post 215 for the content of the article.
  7. Could somebody be so kind to copy and paste the content of this story? I don't have a HS subscription. I did a Google search but had no luck.
  8. How would we fit him on our list though? If we are taking four live picks to the draft, then we still need to delist one player as it is..
  9. I don't agree. Name of thread makes him sound quite important though.
  10. Only the last year or so you say? Nice sentiment with this thread but unfortunately it will only fall upon deaf ears.
  11. No. That's just the order they have appeared on the AFL website.
  12. Well I'll make sure that I won't look at any more of 'Chris25's' Phantom Drafts. If he thinks that Brisbane will pass on Schache at pick 2 then he clearly has no idea.
  13. Nathan Schmook on the AFL website has given us an A+ We'll take that!
  14. This should silence a few. Nice work Dees FD.
  15. Thank that high flying fl0g that plays for the filth now for that.
  16. AFL reporting that the paperwork and announcement of swapped picks will be happening later tonight or tomorrow. Relax for now and then have an unwarranted meltdown at your leisure.
  17. Bell is returning to QLD as his father is very unwell. Carlton would be shattered that he is leaving but good on them for not making life difficult for him.
  18. Changes to the next banner imo: OUT: Dawes, Grimes, Cross, Lumumba IN: T McDonald, Gawn, Garlett, Brayshaw
  19. lol, any excuse for a sook. So we gave up pick 25, big deal. Move along. Welcome to the MFC, Jake.
