  1. That was the absolute pinnacle of woeful decisions amongst a mountain of woeful decisions. He (In my head I thought it was Sylvia) got rubbed out because IF he had of connected it MAY have been dangerous. Just a shocker. Maintain that rage Wrecker.
  2. Whilst this season we have lost tall players in Tegan Cunningham (183cm) and Meg Downie (176cm) we have gained some serious height over the past 2 drafts. Last year we bought Maggie Caris (190cm), Isabella Simmons (184) and Alyssa Bannon (177cm) while topping up this year with Georgia Campbell (182cm), Tahlia Gillard (190cm) and Ali Brown (177). We can add Tayla Harris (177cm) into this Land of the Giants. Hopefully a couple of them will prove to be as mobile, skilful and athletic as they are tall.
  3. I hate the Cats (real cats too) and went straight to outrage when I read the story on the AFL site but I couldn’t maintain it when I realised that a home team wanted to play match at home instead of away. Seems reasonable
  4. I am still up about this game six days later. To win away from home, in a hostile environment and against a good team with a fair bit to prove was fantastic. It is up there I reckon with the Bulldogs game for the best win of the year
  5. I just looked at the ladder. Richmond are 12 th. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haa
  6. Here’s a sentence you don’t see often. Joel Smith’s kicking has been good today
  7. Salem is back in town!
  8. I know there are arguments for a Melbourne win but I don’t give us a chance. I’m guessing it’s my MFCSS kicking in.
  9. GO THE SUNS!!
  10. Yes I know I’m being Capt Obvious but it will depend on which team hits September in top form and relatively injury free. We are as good as chance as anyone.
  11. Love, love the Jetta goal at the end and how they get round him. One of my all time favourite Melbourne players
  12. You can rule a line through the Tigers for the season. On his post match coaches interview Dimma saying that injuries to crucial players have impacted the team. Actually he said he didn’t want to blame injuries but ….. If players believe the coach thinks they can’t win without certain team mates on the ground then they are knackered. It is why you don’t hear coaches blaming injuries
  13. Great call Poita, nailed it!
  14. Essendon are my most hated team but I like Zac Merrett as a player and I like that he has stuck with his mates. Will finish as a one team player and that is to be admired I reckon
  15. Time for the Weid Hail Mary. Chuck him down back in the VFL and see if he can have a Liam Jones/Darcy Moore transformation
  16. Could be argued that Saints are having our 2019. Finals the year before and then talked up big by the media. Come into the year chock full of expectations and then have an unmitigated run of bad luck through injuries. Confidence is shot. I reckon they will bounce back in ‘22. Ratten can coach.
  17. I like Maynard but I believe bolstering our midfield is more of a priority
  18. I love players like Hibberd and Jeremy McGovern. They remind me of park footballers who have wandered into an AFL game and have a kick for fun. As others have said he comes across as a good bloke. Great his knickname is Pig. Antithesis of the robotic Tom Scully style footballer.
  19. I have no concerns about what the club has agreed to financially with Tayla. She will, no doubt, easily make that back to the club in sponsorship dollars. Like others though I am a bit concerned about what she offers on the field. She was an ‘elite’ player when the competition started but the new generation of forwards coming through are faster, better below their knees and have a higher footy IQ. Having said that I regard us as a big club in the women’s game who consistently makes good decisions. I trust that they know what they are doing. Go Tayla. Go Dees!
  20. Think Harmes would be furiously sticking pins into his Viney voodoo doll. Not sure what roll James would have once Jack is back.
  21. Charlie Spargo is very good
  22. Trent has gone from ‘riotously celebrating’ West Coasts prelim win in 2018 to playing an integral part in the side they beat. You have to love the stuff life deals up.
  23. We take a lot of shots from the pockets, it is how we play the game. It would be nice to have a higher goal kicking percentage but then we are 10-1 so it isn’t killing us either.
  24. A Collingwood supporting friend who is down on his team at the moment, just said that the advice to the crowd to duck away from the ball was the same game plan Buckley is telling his players.
  25. Great podcast boys, thanks. Also thanks to @binman for the First Crack on Kayo recommendation. It’s my new favourite footy program. It is brilliant to see that wide down the ground video. Much easier to see how all the parts of the machine work together. And work they do. Also easy to see how it would fall apart if just one player wasn’t doing their part. That sort of commentary is the antithesis of B.Ts inane nonsense
