So who do we prefer to play in week 1, and who has to win in the last round to make that happen?

Think Birch has to share in some of the blame for that kick. I’m guessing she called for it and being the senior player Tarrant would have felt somewhat obliged. Also Birch’s attempted tackle on the Freo player was half hearted at best which was possibly why the Freo player put the goal on Birch’s shoulders.

35° heat, a hostile crowd, in Perth, some ‘inconsistent’ umpiring decisions, against a team sitting 2nd on the ladder who doesn’t get beaten at home. And we roll them. It must give the team great confidence to get that win. I, like I’m sure many here, thought we would get run over towards the end but we gutsed it out. This team has some character. And to the AFL, who has manipulated a Carlton fixture that has included ALL the bottom teams whilst we have played ALL the top teams, put that in your pipe and smoke it! We are playing finals baby!!

12 scratch interview

Can see the leg scratching even in a radio interview. Hope the players are more invested in him than I am. In the meantime next tv interview we should play the leg scratch drinking game

I don’t know if this has been mentioned but given both the the girls and boys team are playing Freo this weekend, it is a shame they could not have played the same day at the G. Would have been great.

Have you seen Goldies tackle on Sheer yet? How good is that!

You could be right Lucifer but her career frees for V against would indicate that she has been pummelled from day one

I think Mithen perhaps successfully plays for frees making tackles look worse than they are. if you were going to target any player it would be Hanks. Stop her and you’d go a long way to beating Melbourne

For me the win last night was as impressive as the Nth Melbourne game. A true 4 quarter effort. Bring that intensity and we will be difficult to beat. At least they know they can match it with the best sides. Should give them confidence Edit. So I agree with everything you said P-man!

Best Hanks. Footy IQ and skills are a step above everyone else’s L. Pearce. Looks like she is working out what she is capable of. Lots of touches around the ground amd that mark and goal in the square was fantastic Zanker. Hats off to Stinnear for putting her in the centre square rotation. Too big and strong for opposition mids to deal with. If she could just hang onto her marks she could be anything Gay. It is a great situation to be in when your 4th option mid gets 20 disposals, 3 marks and 5 tackles. Also one of our top half dozen kicks in the side Paxman. Paxman game. Takes the right option Sherriff. I was surprised by how good she was. Really reliable defender Hore. Thought she was a bit lucky with the free kicks but they were there and she kicked 3 goals Great team effort overall

Dom went to North for more opportunities as we had enough inside mids We got Brayden Pruess in return Brayden went to GWS for pick 31 Pick 31 ended up as pick 34 on the night that nabbed us Fraser Rosman So trading Dom Tyson eventually got us Fraser Rosman (I think this is all correct)

Agree with your side Werridee Perhaps Sloane the other one who could come in when fully fit but having been injured for so long it is hard to know how good or otherwise she is. We also seem to lack small forwards; Zanker, Parry, Scott, Cunningham are all marking forwards and you could chuck Hore onto that list as well.

12 hours later plus a sleep, and I still think that was the best game of AFLW that has been played.

Yeah, yeah it’s only half way through the round but I’ll take it
