  1. Maybe both of them and Clark. Some light at the end of the tunnel today, but what can we do about that midfield. Bl..dy aweful and continue to let the rest of the unit down. ( They should not be allowed to get away with this type of performance) As for Frawley - been our best player for sometime IMO.
  2. Pass on that one big time, but we could repatriate all our Queenslanders.
  3. The AFL have a bit of form in the 'divide and conquer' art of war routine ( refer Fitzroy and the VFA) and now they have their hands on our throat which IMO leaves us vulnerable, particularly when the AFL have a direct media line through CW who has the capacity to feed out more and more divisive stuff ( eg. the latest one the Todd Viney issue) underpinning any short or longer term agendas either she or the AFL may have or may wish to run. On this basis I wouldn't be taking CW to seriously. Just to contradict myself however, I wonder exactly what CW believes should happen to right our ship? Its easy enough to bring up or create never ending problems, its quite another to bring a few solutions to the table. So far I have never seen any of latter from her. Caroline should be forced to prefix every article with the words "AFL pawn". If we have learnt anything from the tanking saga and its shoddy conclusion, it is that Caroline was on 'drip-feed' from AFL insiders. Accept that premise and you would not be surprised that she writes whatever serves an AFL hidden agenda. The AFL are taking control of our club under the umbrella of 'basket case'. Of course, those in the engine room of our once proud MFC seem to have meekly delivered us up for sacrifice. The danger now is that they can merge us, delete us, or send us elsewhere if it serves them well!
  4. We should know a little more about the coaching abilities after this game. Cant see too may excuses available. This is a game we should win.
  5. Just glad he's finally getting a few minutes in the sun. Has largely flown under the radar and like the rest of you hope he keeps on going forward. Still have hopes that one day he Tommy Mac, Garland and Frawley represent the best backline in the comp. But then again I'm a bit of a dreamer.
  6. How tall is Hale? How long has he been around? Wasn't Hale an "A grade objective of ours" that we were too limp to secure? If young Davis's cards are marked on the basis of his performance against this bloke whilst still in his teens, I reckon the footy dept have put their you know what on the block and have NFI. If you watched Casey for the last half of 2012 you would realise this kid did ok. Not a bad summation, I think they just don't know what to do with him. He certainly gives it a red hot go from what I've seen, a bit like a bloke who plays with GC these days who also copped a bit from his own supporters and coaching staff. Last year in the NAB he got towled up against the Hawks, think it was Hale (like Tommy Mc last week) and that seems to have marked his cards. Would like to see him play, he has deserved a place over the last couple of years on performance at Casey and been a bit stiff to miss. Couldn't do any worse than Gillies or Pederson.
  7. Sorry but got to jump into the ring on this, Re Davis ( And for that matter J.Tynan and R.Taggert) who we have been running around in the VFL seconds recently ??- Good coaching development work guys - even if just a little slow)- We simply don't know what they have got, but what we do know is playing the others ahead of them has got us nowhere! Its almost like a repeat of the Danniher playing the favourite sons era. Cost us big time. We seem to be prepared to hide these blokes , over protect them and menwhile one O.Wines at 18 has played every game for Port Adelaide this year. How does this work? Re Davis for some of the defeatists on here . Oh he cant kick it to well apparently. Mind you gets it a lot ( more than most of our other scrubbers can do) plays on blokes 10cm bigger and does well , gets SFA acknowledgement from his own supporters other than put down remarks from the haters , is 193 or 194 cm runs pretty quick for bloke this size , looks like he has a bit of s..t in him. For my money is still a young lad , has done very little wrong and so far, makes Pederson and Gillies look totally pedestrian. No I'm not a relation just someone who likes the way he goes about things and hopes he gets a fair go. End of Rant!
  8. Would like to see Davis get a running halfback gig this week instead of copping the monsters Danniher and Cordy over the last two weeks. He's a good size with good speed and hasn't done poorly in any game so far this year.
  9. Wonderful Demon. Like many others his career stalled for three years due to the war. R.I.P.
  10. Never let the truth stand in the way of a good story so they say. Nonetheless would like to see Neeld increase his immediate desire about winning, rather than the open ended Bailey like development defence. Flimsy non performance defence after our last few years. Don't see other young coaches like Hardwick and the Scott brothers doing this.
  11. Me too so thanks from me also KC. Seems strange to me that Josh Tynan rakes up another BOG in the seconds. Surely we should be testing and developing him at a higher level. Don't understand this.
  12. They are a tough playing group and recruit the same.. Have a tough totally uncompromising coach who just doesn't accept defeat and who never makes excuses. Just a couple of differnces from us.
  13. Like to see Tmac working with Davis down back. Have liked the combination from the word go. Sure Tom was off today, but he'll bounce back. Showed he had the goods last year.
  14. yep
  15. Maxy doesn't need to be phased in, he's simply the better option now.
  16. Surely the invisible man Davis gets a crack next with along with Fitzy , Spencer , Taggert and maybe Kent. Vinet too I hope .So much hype on the newbys seems totally unwarranted. Some new blood please. Sick of watching more of the same underperformance each week. Maybe we'll find a jewell or two.
  17. No idea dl. Just my rather poor attempt at levity after some posters want us to trade Frawley on another thread. I sense some concentrate on the negative and being on the backfoot re trading issues /potential loss of players. So hopefully we are on the front foot in trying to knock off some of the good young uncontracted kids in both these sides. Feel sure the footy dept will have some targets identified. were they? and where were they?
  18. Thought this thread might have been about where our recruiting staff were sitting during the match, but probably with all the other clubs.
  19. Riper bloke, spoke to him for quite a time at Casey last year preseason and one of the few "up to standards" on our list. Some of his battles with Jack Riewoldt have been fantastic so its not surprising the 'white ants' might be about. But this bloke can play, has been AA, has been one of our best players since he started with us, was a high draft pick, has continuously carried a higher burden down back due to our inept midfield and I would be very disappointed if our club allows a player of his ilk to depart. Other clubs would be queuing up to get a bloke like this. Big strong and fast. Just a joke to think we would even remotely consider this happening when we consider some the recent extended signings that have made many of us scratch our heads. Who gives a stuff about high draft picks in exchange. We need Hogan and Frawley done for an extended period .Must retains to build the club around. I would expect the club to hurry up to get both of these things done . Anything less would be unthinkable and unacceptable. We pay people at the club to retain the good ones.
  20. Good positive stuff after round 4.
  21. Fluffy Hoopla & Speculation I doubt. Who was talking to the pharmacist at the end of the 4 corners programme Rhino? You have your view but I don't share it. I'll still sit with some other clubs lying low, no - very low.
  22. How do you figure? wasn't illegal until last night? Misses the point a bit though. If last nights 4 Corners report was correct and I have no reason to disbelieve it , there is at least one other club and bound to be others who whilst not as careless as we may have been with our reporting, IMO will have ventured into the same murky paddock , so what of gtheir reporting obligations?
  23. I think you would be very unwise to dismiss this bloke. But then I'm a crook judge. One of us will be right and happy to talk to you later Dr and will. Personally I love this kid.
  24. If we and the Bombers are an 'island' , ill eat my hat! Vlad you can call us on a disclosure matter which could be no more than camouflage , but l doubt if you can call us on an illegal substance matter which is 10,000,000 times more relevant. P.S. I suspect there could be 5-6 +clubs with real issues here. (not just us) and could you be running away? Step up to the plate son. Premierships and browlows are at hand here. Maybe all results past 2000 should be declared null and void.
  25. That's probably a fair commentary and clearly the 'micro' investigation at our place should go deeper to establish exactly who knew what before we run off sacking anybody who can walk. I wonder though, when looking at 'macro', if a strange sort of relationship might be developing between ourselves and the Bombers being the only two clubs in the headlights at the moment. Once again the silence from the other clubs is deafening ( refer the similarity with tanking) where once again the trail of dots heads to a number of them. Why do I get the feeling on the back of this , a lot of clubs are lying low right now? AFL (AD) all over us for apparent non disclosure, at this point seems so far no other clubs administering supplements in a like manner? Hmmmmmmmmm
