Pretty poorly constructed "highlights reel". Where were his marks?
-
So where do we send our coach the Deed Poll papers to change his name to Simon Fantasticwin?
-
Clarry Oliver is going to be the best Melbourne player to ever play the game. Really? I thought that Petty added defensive mongrel to prevent the easy clearances and uncontested marks we saw so often in the second half or 2022.

OLIVER GRUNDY PETRACCA MAY LANGDON HUNTER
-
Beware - medium term memories of us being. shellacked by Druggies Seconds. Take any team lightly in any game at one's peril Unless BBB'sB is 100% do not make him sit in a plane for 7-8 hours. Maybe Petty to stay forward, at least for now with Disco coming in for Hibbo if Hibbo is NQR. I must say I dn't know a thing about WCE's tall forward structure any more, but I guess it may become horses for courses.
-
Sounds like Howes is coming along really well and, God forbid, should we get some injuries in the wing / halfback areas he could be just about ready to go. But certainly nobody will get left out of these positions next round.
-
Petty - defender ruck forward (thought he did OK in an unfamiliar role)
-
He did his job well and looked stronger in the ruck than the gallant JVR. Showed the match committee looking at versatility and flexibility.
-
Mostly Carlton players we’re given 38 seconds to incorrectly dispose of the ball - “play on”. Essendon is putrid, regardless of ball use. 14 is all that their fans can remember.

Weitering a cheap chop to the throat - what will the MRO have to say?
-
If they insist on persisting with this absurd "stand" rule they at least must (i) make the guy play over the mark, or at least line up with it at some stage, AND (ii) call "play on" a lot quicker than they do. Watching the GW$ v Carlton game - it is being played at a pedestrian pace; nowhere near the intensity and pace of the Magpies v Tigers Friday night. Awful to watch. (Didn't see the game from down south which I hear was even worse).
-
Merge them and relocate south. Throw in Saints as well so as not to have an odd number of teams.

Buddy Franklin retires - effective immediately

In the context of the thread title, maybe coffee is not the subject of the snort? -
I genuinely don’t like to wish injury upon anyone, but if Cox’s rib injury was due to a knee to the chest then I feel he was hit by the karma bus.
-
??? rubbish game??? Cameron, who I saw as his opponent, had a pretty average game by his standards. So, how did you come to that conclusion ?
-
and will regret missing a couple of sitters too.
-
That free to Elliot (behind scored) for "dragging it in" was carp. Tiger did start to drag it in but never controlled it, and the Magpie tackler nearly pulled the defender's head off. Surely HTB must first mandate a legal tackle. High contact / tackle must surely always take precedence?
-
Tigers came out with a refreshed attitude and kicked straight. Looked a contest for a while but now Colonwood are kicking goals and (8.25 to go Q3) look like they have settled.
-
... and quite a few great golf courses. probably because there is no clash?
-
Seth Effrican I believe
-
Whilst, as yet, totally unproven, JVR and Jefferson are being developed as eventual KPFs. Yes, a developed KPF would be just great, few are available for trade.

I had a look at his “Casey highlights” from the weekend. He certainly looks a natural footballer - if he can gain full AFL fitness and strength in the next preseason, together with footy development at Casey this year he just looks like he could be a genuine steal. A very exciting prospect though I acknowledge that rookie drafts are generally quite speculative and that highlights are just that, highlights. Will follow with great interest. Any further thoughts from Casey watchers? -
Two other thinkers on the future: "The future is an unknown, but a somewhat predictable unknown. To look to the future we must first look back upon the past. That is where the seeds of the future were planted. I never think of the future. It comes soon enough." Albert Einstein or "The future ain't what it used to be" Yogi Berra
