I haven't seen any replays of the Kozzie "incident" - sure it was late and maybe reckless but as far as could see at the game no head contact and no adverse outcome to the collidee. So what does that mean in MRO points or whatever raffle they are doing this year? This week? This game? He elected to bump but did no harm? (But nor did Moloney.) Are we going to be the victims of absence of precedent once again?

No need to rush May back until 100%

Any news on which of our emergencies was not playing?

Who actually cares what those parasitic blights say about us?

I thought that 'flu shots usually come early for aged care residents.

Not even a slightly twisted ankle?? 🤔 Everything is relative? Will Cats wilt. late in every game? Will Pies keep overrunning fitter sides? Will be interesting to see as the year unfolds.

Sounds like some kind of deep thought process from BT

What deciduous schadenfreude if both Tigers and Blues were to miss the finals by half a game. 🤗🤗🤗

I always turn the sound off when Nathan Brown (🐅 broken leg version) starts up about “the odds”! Did he quite a “3 Downlow votes for tonight odds market?
-
But wasn't Acres the key to a premiership? Just saw the rehash - Lynch marked in a pack of maybe 5 Blues?

So, are they both on top or both on bottom? BT, the genius, is saying it is unbelievable

Umpires have their money on Carlton, surely
-
They do love Nibbler just because he does exactly what is asked of him. Not necessarily what us fans in the stands see, but what they ask hin to do.

Tigers ordinary: Carlton ordinarier 😮

Surface looks to be holding OK. Martin isn't used to being pinged for his infamous "don't argue": doesn't look particularly good tonight ... maybe the hangover from being pantsed by Judd McVee.

Tomlinson has been selected so lets all just get on board and support and encourage him. This negativity is getting tiresome.

I heard it was 11. Just heard Jordan Lewis on AFL 360 who went through his issues following a concussion in 2011 - went back on after a cursory flawed test. Said he felt OK during the following weeks during training, but game day pressure left him feeling like he had had a few drinks, for about a month. He said he would support even 4 weeks mandatory lay off.

This time it isn’t the soft tissue injury issue with Salo, and he has been back running by all accounts so maybe a warm up game or two with Casey then he should be right to go anew. MCDonald is so important structurally up forward (see the debacle of second half of 2022) I would prefer to try Scack back - could switch them if things get bad.
-
With queries on our defence it is even more important that we deliver cleanly and positively into the forward line. Easy rebounds could be very costly.
-
yet he #31 was running and kicking at training - so presumably just considered 'underdone" Perhaps you mean a marathon not a sprint? (Both are races) . 🤔 Smith has hardly trained and surely could not even be considered. Underdone and could well breakdown mid game. Disco time, and or Shack

OMG Orion - McDonald, in case you forgot, played a big role in the most dominant finals campaign possibly ever, in 2021. Not necessarily in terms of goals scored, but he was an essential part of the forward team structure. Still, you may prefer to be the "always right" pessimist; I will remain the optimist who may be occasionally wrong. Life is far more fun that way.

Couldn’t agree more, again. Hypocritical hand wringing and talk of the head being sacrosanct when deliberate head hits go unpenalised week after week should leave the AFL vulnerable. Accidental head knocks on the other hand are far more a grey area. Maybe they should consider what has been one of my hobby horses over the years, penalizing players who recklessly lead with their head into another player or a pack. Currently they are more likely to be awarded a free for high contact, even though they instigated it. Some poor bugger one day will be made to feel eternal guilt when one of these incidents results in paralysis. It must be stamped out at its source. (Gil or his successor will go on about how the head and neck should be protected whilst not doing something proactive to reduce the risk.)

If it means that the umpires, the MRO and the tribunal start to look after Max’s head, then bring it in.
