  1. Risk / reward going down the corridor - pressure them and they are vulnerable No doubt they will just emphasise how important they are. One will of course be an 8 point game - Saturday week.
  2. F'n maggots gifting a shot at goal with a new interpretation of deliberate behind - thankfully they missed. Can anyone find the stats on when it was last paid? Ridiculous rule anyway.
  3. ... and cleans up bloody Cox ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธin the process
  4. Billy - he has done a bit good stuff particularly early in games and up the field, but sadly his body does not allow him to run out a game, which means our sub has to be someone who an play his forward rรดle. And that in itself is not a viable option going forward.
  5. Was that the Jeff Farmer huge mark atop Gary Lyon's head? โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™ JVR, essentially a single position player, as sub??? Petty maybe, though, if he has recovered from his chest injury he needs game time, not bench warming.
  6. I think that the actual joke name of the body you were thinking of is the AFL Integrity Commission - maybe their job is to somehow someday to discover some.
  7. Surely not a game at Casey if he is injured. Either fit to play or not.
  8. There was mention of "calf tightness" at the end of training.
  9. Oh to be 8 again - when I was 8 the Demons were just starting their decade of dominance. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
  10. But, Flag, fish (other than the axolotl) don't have feet.
  11. I don't think anybody underestimates Jack Vineythese days - he has been immense in covering for Clarrie's absence. But I think there are still some to fail to recognise Angus' contributions particularly over this period. He has been pivotal. And regarding Max / Brundy - I wonder if, provided we lock in 4th place by beating the Tigers, would we consider "managing" Max in the North and Hawthorn games, leaving Brundy as the main ruck? I remain too be convinced that either should be regarded as a key forward - would love to be proven wrong by the way.,
  12. Donโ€™t rely on VFL with their absurd number of byes. (end of thousandth rant on this poor excuse use for a support competition)
  13. I agree. At least one game. Letโ€™s hope Casey donโ€™t have yet another bye ๐Ÿ™„
  14. layzie - are you using that name as a pseudonym and your real name is Roget?
  15. Surely you arenโ€™t suggesting that we โ€œmanageโ€ Stephen May ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™„
  16. What a dream if he and JVR both reach their full potential. I guess we will have to wait until at least mid 2024 to get a better idea.
  17. I feel really sorry for Blake Howes - looked close to a debut last year, then injured, and again this year. What is his contract status?
  18. Sort of agree, but if an AA ruckman needs to go to Casey for a few weeks to "learn forward craft" (which was the initial mantra, though later refuted by Goody) then surely Tommo would need to do a week or so at Casey if he were to be considered a potential forward. Though I see to recall someone much earlier saying that he played some forward time early in his career. Not sure we can afford to "rest" Viney at least until Clarrie returns. Grammar police. Disinterested mean being impartial. Uninterested is DGAF. Tommo up forward - see above. Could work though.
  19. I choose to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong, rather than a pessimist who is always right. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
  20. yep Looking forward to your non-laconic podcast. We love the nitty gritty. ๐Ÿ˜€
  21. The poor guy just lives for footy - he must be even more frustrated than all of us combined. Get well soon Clarrie. Looking forward to you coming back fully refreshed and raring to go.
  22. Thanks as ever for the insightful podcast - look forward to it every week. Are you concerned about our defence especially in the final quarter? There was some very poor decision making from May and Lever in particular and the Crows could very easily have snatched the game had it gone on a few more minutes. Contrast this with last week when, even though 4 goals down with 8 to play I felt reasonably confident we could claw it back, which we did. Is there something going on in the head space? Hard for me to explain the contrast. Maybe the Crows are better than the Bears. Thank goodness for Kossie and Chin for their goal kicking and liveliness on the forward line and midfield. Many other looked just flat. Anything related to training? the million dollar question is when will Clarrie get back? Any whispers? There was I believe some announcement that he would be back in two weeks. Anything further?

  24. Mind you our last Harley didn't end up so well.
  25. I think most of us would be happy to wait (though some no doubt will call him a dud and demand his delisting if he doesn't win the Coleman next year ๐Ÿ™„)
