We really really need another player with poor kicking and decision making under pressure. Haven't we just delisted a few?? I must admit to knowing nothing about him other that what I have read here but can't get too excited.

Due diligence would surely involve ascertaining if he is one of the "named" players at EssUndone. If he is, we would need to carefully weigh the risks of him being given a 6, 12 or 24 month ban vs the benefits to us once any ban was served. IF he did one of those 6 month deals, and if the deal were ratified by WADA, it could be worth a bid. If he was completely "in the clear" sure....would make a big play for him.

One would have to say, despite the fact that drafting is an inexact science, that statistically in the hands of most other clubs, picks in the first 10 or so usually end up better than lower ones. We have been gifted more than most have in the top 10 and have seriously either got the picks wrong, or failed to make the most of those drafted for whatever reason (poor coaching, poor fitness management, poor "culture" and lack of leadership on and off the field). I just hope that our current off field team can turn this around, and do it in time for us to survive. We cannot afford another "ground up rebuild": we need to buy some established good players, as we did to an extent this year.

Which is one reason that the word "dud" is offensive and demeaning, and would be best not used. Sure," underperformer", "inadequate", "not up to it" maybe, but "dud" or "spud" is just plain offensive when used on guys who have all gone a lot further in footy than 99% or more of those who post here.

Both of Dawes' suspensions this year were incredibly soft....every week we see players not even cited for similar acts. And I agree the MRP are inept and / or corrupt. The Merrett vs Pedersen non decision was a bloody disgrace. How can they claim consistency??
