  1. Surely pimps are a better analogy
  2. It has taken 2510 posts and now there are the two best summations of the situation right there together.
  3. unless maybe he wanted to move to Sydney, or another "power club". :-(
  4. More info please
  5. Maybe, now that Workcare or Worksafe (or whatever they call themselves this year) are getting actively involved in AFL on the supplements issue, they could have a look at Buckley and Collingwood - work place bullying can incur huge penalties for both the perp and the institution!! Maybe bankrupt them??!! :-) If that is fact then he is a seriously nasty hypocrite and should be outed publicly -- not someone I would go and watch, or want to fund.
  6. His being on the LTI list freed up that space, so that is a parasitic agent talking through his rear end!
  7. Wayne Carey ????
  8. presuming they know what to do with them and how to develop them :-(
  9. Maybe he knows something about his physical prognosis that we don't (in fact I am sure he does, whatever the answer). Can't see the interview, though doesn't sound as if Roos is exactly enthusing about HO.
  10. That, in conjunction with his "would love to play for Melbourne" should be read either as (a) "very promising" or (b) "preparing massive hypocritical turnaround". Duck referring to loyalty is interesting :-) If he were to go to the Hawks, as some have already said, it would mean the end of the AFL as a competition purporting to any form of equal opportunity. Bugger the "little clubs": they can just work on some of the higher picks and then pass them on to those who really matter when the "important clubs" find a need.
  11. IF case 1 his reputation will be totally stuffed - he would be remembered as nothing more than a mercenary who totally screwed a struggling club that stood steadfastly by him in his darkest hours. I think / hope he is bigger and better than that.
  12. Surely "still has to speak to Roos" has to be total BS - wouldn't he be amongst the first to speak with??? Sounds like player manager double speak...lower forms of life than politicians, lawyers, used car salesmen, and pimps.
  13. OMG - I hadn't heard that one before. Seriously, he seriously takes himself and life far too seriously. Can't really see him lasting the distance in a team sport going on like that.
  14. I don't often agree with Dermie, but he is spot on there. So true -- so rarely a good news story.
  15. Maybe, had the injury and the depression not stolen him from us, he could have become our Marradonna ?? The first ie= prime maradonna?
  16. It was surely, in effect, Salam plus Tyson over Kelly, just to put it into true perspective. Do you honestly think that Kelly, in our side, would be burning them up this year?
  17. Well.....it is very very clear that Jurrah became only half the player he was when he switched from #48 to #24
  18. How novel! I really would have liked to see the team there tonight with Roos pointing out to them exactly what is needed to be a decent team.
  19. Used to play for the Hawks in the 70s as I recall......but not PC this millennium :-(
  20. So possibly a furphy? IF true.....'interesting'!! I am sure Mr Roos could find a rôle for him, but I would seriously want him to 'toughen up' - his public pc outbursts surely make him a sledging target, which in turn must adversely effect his performance.
  21. I tend to agree - that Harry O'Brien who used to play for Collingwood also sooked in exactly the same way. (I wonder if they live together?)
  22. So just when did he start work with Jacques Merde at EssUndone? Exact dates would be very critical were he to be considered at all, and if hh's text message quotes are true then he must be avoided at all costs.
  23. What...like a $cully "unending loyalty, undying devotion" type speech? (And I wonder how quickly the moderators can get his mugshot off the banner?)
