  1. So a guy with / recovering from depression wants to play under Buckley ???? Maybe keep under the radar so play for Collingwood?? LOL !! What sort of "little biddy"? A black and white one ??
  2. The two are not mutually exclusive !
  3. I think that your first sentence may he pivotal - when he was diagnosed may well be a year or two after he actually suffered the foot problem, so the explanation for his drop in form could well be an undiagnosed foot problem.I hope that all here wish him well and hope that his foot has recovered fully allowing him to return to his previous best. Remains to be seen of course.
  4. I haven't ever seen him, but I think one would have to say that this very low risk experiment has not been a roaring success. So be it - nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  5. Especially those who have been around a while - those first five will surely move on (those that haven't already).
  6. Unlike our midfield which has been pretty viscous, not vicious :-(
  7. He played the role asked of him quite adequately when Garland was injured - unfortunately for Alexis he was injured in "the Viney incident" by friendly fire, just as Garlo came back and was not needed again. Well done.
  8. But....they did no wrong :-)
  9. Port will forever rue their poor kicking for goal in the first, which was what cost them a GF berth. Of course the umpiring 50/50s all went Hawthorn's way, especially a run of HTBs in I think Q2 and of course that final one as they pressed into attack. Still, great game. If only our guys could learn a bit about intensity, running and pressure.
  10. His path has been very disappointing, and certainly influenced by his injury woes. Good luck to him in his quest for a trade - I am not sure if we would get much though.
  11. From how I interpreted John Fahey's comments on ABC radio a short time ago I get the impression that they may have missed the boat on any reduced penalty. One would have to be certain that he would be allowed to play to consider offering anything in return, and frankly it would stick in the craw to give anything at all to those cheats.
  12. Mitchell will still struggle to break into that Swans midfield....must be getting frustrated as hell.
  13. They certainly have been allowed to buy another flag or two with the AFL facilitating these two purchases. All talk of "equity" is just so much BS.
  14. How good is it to see teams running, running, running, with great disposal by hand and foot, backing each other up at all times, tackling relentlessly. One can but dream. As an aside, a great Comettiism as a North player (can't remember who) had the ball and was run down and caught red handed - "not enough talk, apart from my good self". Will miss hearing these gems, rehearsed or spontaneous.
  15. I agree with you, chook - and I would never describe him as a hack. Just running out of legs. Oh....what could have been
  16. After all, we suffered severe Burns when we picked up another past-due Cat recently.
  17. So did Chri$$$$ Judd :-(((( Dangerfield is afraid of coming to MFC as he is worried that Jack Trengove will tackle him at training. (PS: maybe he would come if we traded him for Trengove, so this clash couldn't happen)
  18. Skills coach at MFC - OMG he deserves danger money for that, and a massive bonus if he produces the goods. I missed the deleted post, but it sounds a bit like you are referring to "suicide by cop".
  19. As long as that is all he shared at EssenDrug :-((
  20. Probably as [censored] off as many Adelaide folk at the treatment of Sanderson, who after all a couple of years ago got his team to within a poofteenth of a GF. Just one caveat - is he really clean in regards to the drug stuff at EssUndone? I am sure that Mr Jackson has done his due diligence, but only MFC, Sod's law, and the Norm Smith curse, could combine to find him banned as he is about to take the reins. :-(((((
  21. Sounded good - "elite kick". Trouble was I rarely saw him win a ball, so actually hard to asses.
  22. is my memory correct, that Much Clark's last game was a QB match?
  23. So the head high impact in an off the ball, feet off ground that split Selwood's scalp was minimal impact - no suspension, yet Dawes' two gentle brushes with the arm, failing to draw blood, were medium ?????? The incompetence, inconsistency, and / or corruption of the MRP is just legendary.
  24. Someone Malcontent Turnbull tried to set up when he was, briefly, opposition leader??
