poita -- apparently, by recent precedents, Dawes regains form, when he has been dropped for poor performances, by not playing than by wasting his time in VFL. I realize that this is against conventional wisdom, but he is rather special it seems, particularly in Roos' eyes.

I haven't seen Hulett play, but skinny is one thing he is not.

Our ruck problem is that Spencer is languishing at Casey despite being in pretty consistently good form and could be justified in seeking greener pastures.......whilst we continue to put games into a tall KPP forward who can't mark, kicks few goals, won't or can't ruck ..... oh but does bring the ball to ground.

I haven't seen the last two games yet....but is Bernie leadership material? It sounds as if he has been pretty undisciplined recently, which is NOT what a young team needs from its leaders.

Does he need a strong mentor? Is there such a person at MFC?

As Weed's build doesn't appear to be quite ready yet, how about Hulett? He looks a monster from his photos and has done some good things by all reports.

A quick scan through this post leads me to ask - did Hulett play? If so, how did he go? If not, why not?

?? Geelong players can apparently kick a guy's face in during a ruck contest, says Jeff White, with impunity, so why not a knee? Gawn in combo with Spencer. I don't believe it has been seen before or since.

I suspect that he is being eased back in following his several concussions. Too good for VFL and gradually gaining AFL experience. If the remainder of the season were to be meaningful i.e. We're we potentially finals bound the I suspect things may have been managed differently. (Don't tell Brock bloody McLean!)

How many times does he get possessions in the midfield or HB? Haven't you noticed. But, yes, he should be coached a bit about leading patterns etc. Where is Ox, Neita?
