How is 2.9 from set shots symptomatic of what goes on up the ground? Sure one can account, a bit, for missed on the run shots by upfield poor delivery, but set shots are what forwards are, or should be, paid to do. Is there only one 'game plan'? Certainly looks like it. Definitely do not deserve to play finals as long as we can't regularly beat the likes of EssUndone, Carlton and Saints x2.

McDonald^2 are developing into a very good combo, and Frost's run and athleticism supplement them well, despite the odd brain fade. Fitting in well with the dash and grit of Nev and Hunt, plus Wagner, Salem or maybe Vince or Jones in coming years. The back half is becoming a source of great joy and optimism especially now that our midfield is starting to at least hold its own more regularly. Maybe Jesse should follow suit and take pressure off himself by just signing on and joining in the fun - does not look as if he is enjoying life at the moment.

I will be the first to admit that as the season approached I though, "Jayden who?" [thorough total ignorance on my part]. What was all the hype about - people said he was really fast, as was that ranga [have mentally surpassed his name for now] who ended up with Geelong taking him off our hands. I am delighted to say that I was totally blind and he has become one of my favourites. I can't remember a HBF who breaks the lines as well as Hunt, takes on the play, spoils, tackles its great courage and even scores some goals. Well done.
