Aaron Davey was great at this. I vividly remember a WCE game at the G - he hovered 10 metres in front of the kick off line. The WCE guy tried once or twice to chip and run only to be run down. He was terrified to do it again for the rest of the match. We should try again with our fastest chaser camped there to pressure the kicker-in.

May well have been but didn't get the pill often enough to show whether he was or not. A bad recruiting strategy. (I was a reasonable kick as a junior, but couldn't get it either).

I saw that missed mark, missed hands on shoulders free and had exactly the same thoughts as you. Similarly the 'mark of the week' contender by Cyrrrriiiiillltll vs the far better, gutsy mark by Pedersen. Cyrrrriiiiillltll can do no wrong, both regarding free kicks for and against, and by the MRP and tribunal.

Awards aside, this guy has just amazing pace, and takes it on. Fantastic to watch. His opening goal on Saturday was just so exciting. Where can one access the 'yards (metres) gained' stats?

I don't think that not promoting a young kid who kicked 4 at VFL in his first game back after not playing for most of the season means that the "non promotee" is a new whipping boy. He needs more game time but just may have resurrected his career.

DD - happily I am old enough to remember the period 1955-64 What joy. Looking forward to a repeat 2017-27 He will get cleared, and for his slam dump tackle Mitchell, the little sniper, will also be cleared, or fined, for the cheap hit on JW4 Hard to see any of them getting a game in the foreseeable future

Mitchell gets away with cheap sniping on a regular basis. I will bet he will get off....a fine at most.
