  1. Is that Mark Neeld goal umpiring?
  2. So familiar. Domnating ZERO SCOREBOARD PRESSURE!
  3. So bloody inconsistent spoils the enjoyment of the game 50 meters - clear and unequivocal against Martin who came in from the side : not paid HTB prior opportunity - again Martin had opportunity to fend off : “no prior”!!
  4. Who where what why?
  5. Missed a lot of the game but just turned on and just cannot understand these absurd 50s Cat marked; Jones right beside him when he marked it, immediately ran around behind him .... 50!!!!!!!!!
  6. WTF 4 minutes in and already two high frees to the Duckwood Bros And a mark in front to Geelong from a 7 metre kick.
  7. Well, sam, the FD clearly think differently. Now ... who will I back? Nah. Why break the long held Demonland tradition of introducing irrelevancies into a thread.
  8. Looking forward to hearing reports from training watchers (assuming there is training in Melbourne today) in particular who is training with the backs NB Frost and / or Pedersen.
  9. Of course one can never know, but, how good would Cyril have been had he played at MFC under Bailey and Neeld, vs how good would Wiz or Aaron Daley have been playing in that Hawthorn team under Clarkson?? Would Bruce be swooning over him then?
  10. Broooose will be in mourning.
  11. IF this is true and it hadn’t happened already then it is an indictment on the coach and the entire FD. Surely it is his job to do this with every player every week?
  12. Haven’t seen the clip yet But, I wonder if they are as devastated as they were last round 23 and will respond in the same way ....... say they are determined to do better then put out the garbage they did against a cellar dweller at OUR home ground last weekend. As others have said: talk is cheap, action is harder.
  13. Isn’t that his baseline state?
  14. Question for Casey watchers How far off is Dion J as an AFL level small defender?
  15. Makes sense thanks. Is that supposed to make us feel better about not scoring as well as we did in the first half of the season?
  16. daisycutter you are naïve and too charitable thinking that none of them saw it of course they did .... ah...MFC .....play on. They won’t say anything.
  17. Would have got two were he wearing red n blue, but he isn't and he is also Franklin.
  18. BAMF - clearly YOU have never received a totally unanticipated punch in the guts. Next there will be folk suggesting that Oliver is a serial diver (which is what you are implying) and maybe should be fined or even suspended for that.
  19. Actually after yesterday maybe we should move more games to venues where I will not be tempted to waste my time and emotional energy by trying to attend. :-((((
  20. Seriously what do you really expect from such a corrupt and compromised organisation as AFL and their henchman at match review. Blatant double standards. I will never forget Bernie being reduced to vomiting after some north thug gut punched him which was also ignored. Such a bunch of bloody blatant hypocrites.
  21. Exactly, Dom. You beat me to the punch. Still, there are those who just love to see the negatives and just make their judgements on a single poor team performance. It is not as if the mids applied a lot of pressure to those delivering into their forward line.
  22. Much as I cannot stand the helium man, he is absolutely correct this time. Suicide has cost us dearly, in a big way by our squandering I 50 scoring opportunities - partly the fault of the forwards by not locking it in and scoring, but also the mids who just bomb blindly. round 1 v Cats (64 v 41 inside 50s), one could say round 4 v Hawks (54 v 53) round 14 v Port (68 v 39 round 15 v Saints (62 v 50) That is at least 2, probably 3 and possibly 4 games that we should (2), could(1) and maybe had a chance(1). One isn't going to get that many opportunities very often and scoreboard pressure just has to be applied. I would be very happy if we had absolutely nobody give us any pumping up ever or at least until we are celebrating a GF win. Our club, our players just cannot cope mentally with positive publicity. So, shut up media, even in the (unlikely) event that we turn it on over the next few weeks.
  23. I thought that the Welcome Game was a welcome to St Kilda to have their way with us. At least that is how it turned out..
  24. Yes, the poor guy had a shocker by all accounts - I saw only brief glimpses of the farce But at this time he needs support and encouragement from us all (though not more senior game time in the immediate future). Relentless bagging could shatter him for a long time. Positive feedback is always more constructive than total negativity.
  25. Goodwin often talks about structures but I don’t think that many supporters see much structure at all ?. Yep, regardless of whether we squeeze in or not this year with yet another mid season slump (don’t blame youth and inexperience Goodwin - haven’t seen the comparators for yesterday’s but Saints are young and inexperienced too). FAIL TO PLAN: PLAN TO FAIL ww How likely is he at 25 to suddenly develop speed and disposal efficiency? Serious answer please. Has anyone ever done this? If so, name names.
