  1. Big consulting firms are just 800 or 900 small businesses (or partners as they like to call them selves) under one banner fighting for paying clients. Good and poor partners ecist but all charge through the roof. Often telling 8ng the client the bleedong obvious. Our Board is syrong enough anf id be worried if they belived in bringing them in. Partners that dont bring in the vash soon find themselves out the door. Hilarious.
  2. Well said. Highest % increase across all clubs too.
  3. Watching Fritsch yesterday he has become a best 22 player this year. One of a few bright lights now, especially up forward
  4. Agreed LN. Well said As does this one. Talk about parallel universes if the future headline is ..."North appoints new coach and trade out star full forward "...
  5. I hope that doesn't come from Champion Data. You know the outfit that rated our list No. 1.
  6. Also a sensible post. I agree with Juddy last night that the club will bounce up again next year, much for the reasons covered above. But I also think our list was over-rated by the Champion Data info and grabbed onto by lazy media and this year was 'useful' to expose some on the list with skill deficiencies and likely no more than B-graders. (Hunt, ANB, Wagners...) Some gems have also be discovered through opportunities for them (Hore, Petty, Baker...) Darren Burgess, although some interesting discussion re: him leaving Arsenal, is a step to me showing the club is on the case.
  7. Watching live on Saturday at Marvel Nathan was his predictable self. Bang it long to contests or opposition, take the 4th option and get tackled, missed handball targets.... It dismaying to watch this issue unfold now , not to mention the storm coming over losing the captaincy which is a must next year.
  8. Agreed the JMac decision was appalling. But unfortunately many people don't know when to retire gracefully. The AFL is littered with them. But on 6 figure sums I don't blame them for not wanting the party to end. The club is paid to be professional and move forward. Ask the Hawks about sentimentality. It still should be done with grace and respect of course. Just that someone should be having the ' conversation'.
  9. Really? We now have a backline 'general' in May for the first time since ...... I can't remember. Jamie Duursma perhaps, Earl Spalding, Neita when he played there as a 19 year old,... Get the drift.
  10. As I have mentioned previously this isn't the issue on . The clubs position should be thank you for the service and retire gracefully in 2019. The fact that the club have not had this conversation and have made an offer is an alarmingly weak approach.
  11. Its sad for Nathan but this is the big test for the club's resolve to move on re: leadership and thank Nathan for his service. If the soft option is taken then no-one is serious about success if this decision cant be made. I think it will be.
  12. Disagree. Hes got the smarts but execution always problematic. Will be a B grader at best for career. In the warm up he just tried smart alec round the corner shots. Missed all of them I query if he's serios immature or just dumb. Maybe all 3
  13. Well said lord nev. The doco also pointed out goodes was 186th in the afl that year for frees awarded. Got a lousy 11 for the year. Selwood gets those in a few games. And doesn't get booed like goodes. The staging thing is an urban myth smokescreen for racial apologists. I actually feel sorry for Gil on this. The blame lays squarely with the tens of thousands of morons at matches doing the booing and the players for being pissweak in their overt support failure for him.
  14. Well spoken Binman. There's a narrative run by danny Frawley on the weekend the we have dodged scrutiny. Lazy and unoriginal commentary plain and simple. I believe we lacked experience in pre season planning following a late sept finish but the club will learn from this. Its been 20 years since the last time.
  15. Agreed also, except I would remove the 'possible' in front of ANB
  16. Agree. He recently analysed petracca and why expectations are too high. Interesting insights most times. He thinks trac is caught between being a midfielder with poor engine and key position with wrong body shape.
  17. Agree. I'm convinced he may well have compromising photos of someone. There's no other reason for this selection.
  18. Probably would've contributed more than Hannan last week. I agree Hannan /ANB are in the frame
  19. Give it time ET. Someone on this website will dream up a scenario
  20. Fully agree especially given their 4 year age difference. We will retain Max for longer with Preuss taking more work . The 'stynes/O'dwyer' thing back in late 80's was a paradigm shift at that time.
  21. Not so fast. 1998 we make the prelim after the 97 wooden spoon. Then we finish bottom 3 in 99 with only 6 wins. With arguably a better list than we have available now. This has all happened before. IMO the 2018 list has always been overrated and they played out of their skins for the last 5 weeks of the season only. Still building I agree with all your other sentiments though PD
  22. Was at the game. Team was out on its feet. Kudos to getting over the line. Oliver was nothing short of heroic
  23. Jones. You're joking. Dunkley. Some good things under pressure May. Saved the game. Petty. Shows potential Frost. Starting 22 in 2020 Neal bullen. B grade Viney. Not a thinking footballer Oliver. Leadership in spades
