Good call. EArlier in this thread someone discussed the poor pay at AFL for I.t. roles. Afl generally pays poorly unless your Gil and SMT. But their biggest current concern is lack of junior members and attendees and don't have a solution. Might explain a few things re this topic. Night games and midweek don't help but general young fan engagement is sliding due to lack of interest. Hawks might be onto something

Spot on. The process and announcements this week have been first class re: Board, etc. You can't expect any dirty laundry from the Reviews to be public. It's the outcomes that count. Smith as future Chair, Troy Chaplin's forward connection role . Basset on board with strong coaching credentials. Sam Radford - ex casey and a schoolteacher. Does this mean some midfield focus on development for younger players? Everyone trumpets McRae and Fagan are good coaches as ex-teachers . David Parkin another. Thoughts anyone? I don't know Radford and would appreciate any insights.

Decent letter from Brad Green just hit my inbox. Steven Smith confirmed he's running for the Board and Brad sees Smith then becoming Chair end of 2025. Will be good to see Brad give it a 12 month run for himself

Exactly. I heard his interview on SEN with maher and gaze. He's admitted to lying to his team mates and fans and seemed smug about it -"..how clever am I fooling everyone..." He didn't answer and fudged it meaning IMO Port are paying full tote for Jack and the Port fans should rightly be screaming. Me also last week. Their quick response was that the clubs financial year ends 31 October. Thus accounts need to be finalised, audited etc. So likely to be early 2025, as usual. They don't have a date pencilled in as yet. But I did suggest a fan forum this year as they did after the 2019 season. It was very illuminating and useful for the fans to have a Q and A that year.
