Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
DEE fence replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Simplistic garbage, some, probably the majority, wanted FA, but there are countless examples of the right thing being done between club and player. Boak for instance, and a number of players at Port when it was a basket case, Geelong after a premiership etc.Show me where someone like JT has done anything other than try his guts out even when injured, and i still remember clutch goals and fearsome tackles. Edit, spelling Also: How and Why is JT responsible for the garbage Neeld served up and 186, no demonstrated link has been shown, he's been injured, yet to see a sign that he is scarred. The effort he has put into his rehab has been first class and shows exactly the sort of heart shown by the great players at good clubs. Give him a season. -
Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
DEE fence replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Furious if the club goes for this, Jack is owed one season by the club to show what he can do injury free. Otherwise this is like us shafting Junior. Trengove has done everything right in terms of attitude and training and i firmly believe he will become a star. Not even for Dangerfield do i want this. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Может все с помощью Google Translate пожалуйста, прекратите ради трахает or in other words just cut and paste this ' ебать ' for emphasis, however I much prefer vittusaatana (spoken phonetically) - anyway who really can pronounce anything written in the cyrillic alphabet. vittusaatana is also much more appropriate for the MFC anyway and I really laugh every time my wife says it. -
Some Fish Bone posts are definitely thinking something is on, I got excited for a moment, bit like this, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=63713191206&l=aad99aaa1f but a quick search made me think Ron Burgundy is still on the money.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
DEE fence replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
DC, a fan produced video? whats your point? he can play, he has heart, couldn't kill him with an iron bar, how is it ok for Brett Kirk to be alternative and not HL, it actually makes me think if he says he wants to come hear he might actually mean it. -

I'm comfortable with HL, Roos is light years ahead of Buckley in terms of soft skills. And watching HL shepherd Barry Hall for Maxwell shows he's got a big heart (see 50 second mark) pick 23 or 28 not fussed. Vince was supposed to be a problem child, had a great year. Cross was solid for his games, Pederson and Dunn both re-born. Hell he even got a hug from the Dalai Lama, he's practically anointed. And can kick a 65m goal... -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT

i want him just for the tackle he laid on Boomer, that said he's good in the air, the way he tapped the ball out of the pack to himself showed he can do more than just receive. As many other have said, watching the wheels wobble at pies/bums/scum is a delight in two senses, petty hatred AND some players are actually happy to come here. -

I really wish I could go to the funeral - I want to see a really big guard of honour. -

The bravest gentleman to ever play the world's toughest game. -
Sad about Mitch, way more than James, can we leave Stynes' number alone for awhile please. Mitch you farker, you broke my friggin heart.

Yes you can, this site panders to those that think they are always right, wouldn't want something like a vote to contradict yourself ;-)

Luke Hodge and the super draft 2001 (not for us sadly)

...this thread, really? you need more clients at Beyond Blue? -
Do we have 105 people who don't use Demonland anymore? surprised by any stay votes.

Roos put his name to this, while nervous I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Must say I would have preferred his first choice though.

How do you go past Malcolm Blight?

Even one year would be fantastic, in fact 18 games would still be worth something of they were quality. Am happy to pay for his Voltaren

Potential future at Melbourne University
DEE fence replied to Axis of Bob's topic in Melbourne Demons
the more subtle level is that I thought this is what he was getting at straight away, as you say: "The more subtle level is that the Uni is full of attractive girls that are going to be interested in rooting players and that the players are going to struggle with that." I just didn't need the crayon drawings to spell it out. I remember Melbourne Uni with more than a little fondness for the smart, attractive, confident women running around. Also there is daylight between <can't type it> and anyone else, on any subject. -
For anyone interested SIJ BF (search his videos) on you tube uploads most Fox Footy stuff in excellent format, it's how I watch it all over here. Its funny but as much as MR is an annoying jerk I have come to really like the AFL 360 format (Roos being on never hurts either) and I find it more watchable than most of the other shows.

I kinda took it as a light hearted joke, with more subtlety/humour than ever demonstrated by <can't type it>. -
The blokes he's writing about deserve OAM's (Emad Elkheir and Ali Faraj), in fact I'd give one to Flanagan too. And I must admit, as self interested as I think the Giants Footy Club is (egro the motivating factor for reaching out), this will be far from their dumbest decision, good on em. Things that promote respect amongst the community (like sport) are worth tank divisions, police stations and jet aircraft for how valuable they are to our society. Its just a shame it's so bloody hard to quantify the value exactly.

Agree - in time, with the best will in the world I reckon he's 2 but realistically it's 3 years, before he is big enough and hard enough to take the hits. I haven't seen anything from Blease to suggest he could do this except for his run, and his training reports suggest he's immune to what Roos wants from him.

The only problem with our back six is we don't have the rebounder, like Nick or Harry, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Malceski or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritier_Lumumba, as soon as we have this type of bloke we'll be laughing. I reckon Tom is fantastic for his 1% efforts and run with ability, easily pick up a gig in any team, but we are never going to be Manchester United, where everyone has a great kick. I too get a twitch when he goes to kick, but it's his other talents that are why we should keep him. Pair him with the right rebounder and we'll have a defence as good as the Russians at Stalingrad (If Frawley stays as well). I also think we need a Nick or Harry more than a midfielder or forward, the slow kicks coming out of our backline is what puts pressure on our midfield and forwards. I ache to see a few more flat hard passes that gives our attack time and rewards all the good work everyone is doing.

Two things: 1. You realize she will probably want rings and kids for this act? 2. Why haven't you been buying her a membership anyway?
-
9 months from now there will be an explainable bump in the number of Demon memberships...

Age is not fair, I think if he passed a robust examination a playing coach in the VFL would be perfect and every so often he could sub for Cross. Cross is a bloody miracle with how well he is playing especially with how often he goes 'inside'. I met a few of the Sydney guys when my brother was playing up in NSW and I thought they were robust, I wouldn't mind a few and he has covered himself in glory. I reckon he'd find the fire for a few games as well when we had key outs, him or Blease, who would you take, even at 34?
