My partner is having her 40th on Saturday, we've hired a villa in Tuscany, and have friends flying from everywhere for a James Bond fancy dress party. I think James Bond is going to have a demons scarf on.

I really felt like Baum lost the plot with citing the Rance incident, and it is also key for me that Viney is front on, not a dirty sniper. The only thing I'm sad about is that he didn't hold the jumper, not smart, but cut lunches he is throwing, or palms shall we say are different to a king hit merchant.

If Farmer was the Wiz, I'd say Jeffy is Dobby, the free elf, rescued from the evil Malfoys (Carlton). ...what can i say i read to my kids...

Am totally confused about what to do with the back line, I still feel we are undersized and Port has some good marking forwards, I see this as a shootout game, if I remember TIO is fairly large? Anyway I'm keen to see some big bodies preventing opposition marking, with our midfield playing back a little deeper. So Omac out - Pedo or Dawes (whoever is a better defender, with Jetta and Trengove in - I am not sure about Wagner I reckon he's ok, but seems to be a consensus for him to have a rest. Hunt stiff but out as well for a rest. Oliver I think will have a great game, and there will be others that are unlucky not to get a gig.

The word 'thuggery' I had hoped would come across as tongue in cheek, I have posted more than once that i love how hard they are playing. We're on the same page.

6. Watts 5. Stretch 4. Hogan 3. Wagner 2. Jones 1. Garland

Watts was on today but was being treated by a leper, was frustrated watching his run for no reward. I thought he did ok at ruck duties and dare i say it i think it helped a bit with his feel for the game. I've really missed the Judy that played today, Wagner is the new Peter Walsh, I want Dunn in for Omac, we've seen enough he can do VFL for the rest of the year. Just a though but it felt like the Brisbane side was told/coached to go to the knee and draw the high tackle - as Leppa said said we have a reputation as good contested footy side, and I thought all of brizzy were playing for frees. I reckon our midfield is scaring people now days they are lining everyone up to work them over. Vince needs to be careful though, too much bloodlust don't want him rubbed out, I almost would be happy for him to play a little more outside and leave the thuggery to Viney/Jones/Petracca/Oliver. Love our forward line.

Watching the WC v Port game, please please bring back Dunn, also can Viney line up Jonas at the 1st bounce. I understand that this was a good game to play new blokes but please I want a more settled back 6.

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000
DEE fence replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just signed a colleague in Rome up, basically she couldn't back out after the Richmond win. (She started the season saying MFCSS, but admitting any sort of love for the club was a mistake, I have hounded her since (and inferred that her contract renewal depended on it.)) I have a couple of seppos in BKK I'm working on too. -

What took so long? .... Joke- congrats on the baby dee -
Wondering, can the Bombers negotiate 'damages' for the peptide programme that are in fact de-facto player payments not included in the salary cap, thus retaining stars and having cash left over to buy new talent. Forgive me if this has been written before?

What is the algorithm for the 'above the shoulders' bit, not being a smart ar$3, but i just feel that is quantitative method on a qualitative problem?

Demonland Proudly Sponsoring Jayden Hunt and Josh Wagner
DEE fence replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I seriously hope the players don't read this forum, nothing good would come of it. If you really feel the need to say something to a player, do it in person, not from behind a keyboard. -
Just sayin, I liked Hunt's game more. More than Happy for Harmes to get it not undeserved overall but I reckon Hunt was stiff.

Trying to have faith but the frost miss 20 sec later StK goal...FMD

Has earned a pay rise - speed and class, that check-side kick was sublime, to improve his set shot he should run away from goal, he is at 85-90% with anything at '9' level of difficulty.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 6
DEE fence replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think I've made my feelings about King well known, and for a fact King did not prepare the infographic (am sure it was the unpaid work experience kid) but the graphic is at the 38 min mark of the show, and shows midfield rotations and 65% was the highest. Obviously didn't work today, and he was flat wrong about defense you need a settled back 6 -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 6

The stat on the Bulldogs was interesting (and as mentioned by King who I don't like) that no one is over 75%... -
Jack Viney's square off on Rance
DEE fence replied to Vandenberger With The Lot's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's a small thing but wanted to comment anyway - Have watched this btw 50 - 100 times (the whole replay 3) as I'm in tragic mode at the moment, and what I found interesting between this and the Viney tackle on the 'don't argue' (which I have watched 100+ times), is how well Viney moves his legs and feet to enable him to exert force. I honestly think his brilliant footwork is how he gets to exert all that strength and wins against bigger/taller (maybe stronger opponents). The speed with which he moves his legs under him for balance just makes him unstoppable. My theory is that this superior sense of balance, will mean that his disposal (kicking) will improve further (substantially). I think he'd make a ripper boxer as well. -
Deify then, you have a point.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
DEE fence replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
BUMP Glowing in the warmth of two wins and debut of CP, with CO, JT, ANB, Stretch, et al waiting in the wings, I can't help but think Melksham is surplus to requirements. BUT, I haven't ever really paid him much attention so my question/s is: Who would he replace in the current side and/or some of our better depth players? Also is his upside better that the Harmes, Wagner and Hunt who have all come on well early? -
For a guy that is a giant, he was pretty bloody humble, obviously sure of himself, and as others have said funny etc, but I reckon at the core a decent bloke, very impressed. The banter with Robbo was harmless, and while it didn't give an insight into being a leviathan I thought it demonstrated a human dimension. I could understand this might be a problem for some as we are more than ready to put him on a pedestal.

6 Viney 5 Gawn 4 Tyson 3 TMac 2 Watts 1 Gartlett Another 8 are stiff

So I'm confused, I watched the replay and I heard plenty of good things about the dees, and heard praise for viney and vince and gushing over gawn. edit: the comments about Mc Donald were very positive as well
