I seriously believe that AC/DC should have gone completely away from tired old "rockers" (Brian Johnson was bad enough in my opinion) and gone down the route of someone like Nikki Hill... (and her husband is no slouch on the guitar either)... I saw them at Bluefest 2014 and they took the roof off the place! (they were so impressive that Bluesfest had them back again the following year in 2015)

Interesting in Jones' interview at the end of the game when they were talking about big Max...Jones described him as 211cm; has Max grown another 3cm or is Jones talking him up (see what I did there)?

I'm thinking that maybe we needed that loss against Essendon...that's probably provided the team with its new found focus and intensity.

If you love Primus, check out the Residents documentary "Theory of Obscurity",,, they were a massive influence on Primus and members of Primus feature during the documentary.
-
See above...it was my opinion, not a comment on a likely outcome or the workings of the MRP.
-
That was my personal opinion...I know the MRP doesn't work like that.

Contact or no contact, the act of raising the elbow in such close proximity should get any player a week's holiday.
-
Just like I've never understood what drives certain members of the Demonland community to make some of the comments they do.
-
For those saying he missed, it's time for a visit to the umpires' sponsor. Was low impact but the intent is what will get him a week's holiday.

I thought that about Watts as well, but on watching the replay the ump got that one right...he was about 15cm out of the square. As for touching the post while in possession of the ball, I suppose it's the same as having your foot over the boundary line while holding the ball in the field of play...it's adjudicated as still in play; at least there is some consistency in that unlike the deliberate out of bounds and some of the in the back rulings.

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000

I've come to associate the term "smash" with the club quite often over the past few years... problem is that for the most part we have been on the receiving end! -
Likewise, I'm a life time supporter (since the late 50's) and a long time member who has been living in Sydney (Dulwich Hill) since 1979. Everytime I followed an NRL team they got hung up to dry (Newtown, Norths and Souths (who did a Lazarus) so I've given league a miss these days, but I've always stuck fat with the Dees through thick and thin. Having said that, I can understand why someone would want to step away from the hysteria that takes over on these forums and in the media...and the sniping that goes on as a result (evident in this thread)... seriously, we lost a game (emphasis on the word "game") that we were expected to win easily...talk about first world problems!

Both teams should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Absolute garbage!!

Ok, in which case the original post needs correcting ;-) -
MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 2, 2016

Game time is 2:10pm - or does Fox coverage start 40 minutes before? -
I thought that was the case :-). Not a bad effort to keep the Dockers goalless for the first quarter, and they look like they're not taking the foot off the pedal in the second.
-
Not too bad????? They look scary good!
-
Hogan's been getting a lot of praise for his last quarter effort (and rightly so), but let's not lose sight of the fact that two of those three goals were set up by Watts.
-
For all we know he may have asked to be dropped from the leadership group so he could concentrate on his game. As for missing round one, he was injured, missed game time as a result and it may be that he is simply not ready to come in yet, but has been named as an emergency in case there is a late withdrawal where a 75% Dunn is the best option.

I really don't like the way the umpires are now ruling on the deliberate out of bounds. A Carlton player just got pinged after the ball was followed to the boundary by a Richmond player who intentionally made no effort to get the ball when he quite obviously could have. The umpire asked the boundary ump if the Richmond player had touched the ball, and when the answer was "no", called deliberate. Surely the fact that the ball was ushered out by the Richmond player (who could have taken control of the ball) should mean it was the Richmnd player who deliberately let the ball go out of bounds and who should have therefore been penalised.

If he was nothing, you wouldn't have even bothered to comment, surely.
-
Yes it was EH... GCS = Gold Coast Suns ;-)
-
Like DemonDave, it's Stevie J that worries me more than the Mummy. I'm feeling a bit like I did going in to round 1 against GCS last year, albeit this time a little more confident of a win. Many are saying Hogan will get the goals...I'm more of the thought that Garlett and Watts will be our main scorers. I can see us winning by about 17 points.

Nah, when we're in Melbourne we always walk from the city to Goschs...it's quite a pleasant stroll along the Yarra.
