  1. I actually saw them back then (I think at an ANU union night in Canberra in the 70's) when they were known as The Keystone Angels. I thought they were great... wasn't so keen on the Angels though, I have to admit. I'm pretty sure one of the former Angels (can't recall which one) has been working in the indigenous communities assisting with raising money for dialysis machines etc.
  2. Roger Corman made the original "Little Shop of Horrors" that featured an as yet little known actor Jack Nicholson as a sadistic dentist; in fact, most Corman films are worth a look. Russ Meyer's "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" is a must watch, if for no other reason than it features an appearance by the psychedelic band The Strawberry Alarm Clock.
  3. Why is Michie still being named in the Casey team when he is named in the 22 playing AFL tomorrow?
  4. Technically speaking we haven't had the easiest draw, as when the draw was put together, 4 of the teams we have played finished above us on the ladder last year.
  5. I think the players generally have a pretty good grasp on reality and I'm sure they are prepared to work and wait for their opportunities. The supporters on the other hand... Rather than "entitlement" I think of it as more of the generational attitude of "instant gratification" (the fast food generation).
  6. If that piece of nit-picking is the best you can do in order to deflect, then good luck with the rest (I'm not particularly embarrassed over misquoting one word that has essentially the same meaning). And I find it beyond amusing, that you would even attempt to compare yourself to Einstein in any way, shape, or form...the word delusional springs to mind, bordering on a narcissistic personality disorder.
  7. Funnily enough, using the logic you have used through this entire debate, you would have dismissed Einstein out of hand. The fact that you can't grasp the meaning of the sentence containing the words "all over the world" when discussing a global climate change accord, speaks volumes.
  8. I think our final interchange will be Alex Neal-Bullen, Christian Petracca, Christian Salem, Billy Stretch. If there is any truth in Stringer suffering a bad corky (not of the king variety - oldies joke) last weekend, then he may be a little restricted making whoever gets him's job a little easier; or is full recovery from a bad corky possible within a week? I mentioned this in another thread, but I also think the fact that the Dogs habit of dropping when tackled will be under scrutiny as the umpires will not want to be the subject of more scrutiny themselves following last week's debacle against the Crows. This could work in our favour as they will either have to change their playing style or possibly find themselves on the wrong end of a few holding the ball decisions. Also, I don't know why people have this idea that Kim ill Jong only has a "day out" against us; from the time I first saw him play early last year, I have rated him as a very good player, regardless of who he is up against.
  9. I firmly believe that is was the OPSM team that beat us in the game against the Kangas.
  10. A couple of slices of pizza wedged between the heads of Hogan, Viney and Vince should do it.
  11. No, the whole lot of them all over the planet that have been advising their respective governments. It is patently obvious that you have infinitely more knowledge than those charlatans masquerading as climate scientists/experts. Organise a global summit and explain to those world leaders just exactly how they have been duped. I'm certain that they will all feel all the more informed as a result and immediately renege on the accord, having seen the light.
  12. By all means please go and inform the various bodies and govts who have signed on to the accord. Obviously you are far more knowledgable than those mere scientists and assorted researchers that they listen to.
  13. Hope the cat hasn't done a whoopsie in his beret!
  14. Of course it will just be shrugged off by those on here that apparently know more than the scientists out in the field, but for what it's worth: http://www.smh.com.au/environment/climate-change/global-warming-milestone-about-to-be-passed-and-theres-no-going-back-20160509-goqcm0.html
  15. One other thing that MAY work in our favour is the fact that the umpires will have been told to be very aware of the numbers of free kicks being paid following the farcical one sided count in the Bulldogs v Crows game.
  16. Fast game, but the kicking skills are terrible tonight.
  17. He was rested and as the team performed well last week with Brayshaw the only obviously underdone player, Oliver goes to Casey... or would you prefer he comes in at the expense of Petracca who is untried at the top level?
  18. As far as I'm concerned, we beat North and the umpires beat us. This gives me the belief that we will win games against teams above us on the ladder. I still think we will finish the year in 10th, but would not be too surprised if we did sneak into the eight.
  19. Yep...and both Viney and Vince in the clear.
  20. Was he in that show The Recruit in 2014? I seem to recall an American named Mason (could be wrong).
