Failed their first real test miserably.
-
Hawthorn and the Swans by the biggest margins, but all of them by at least a point.

Well, he didn't say that Pedersen won't be coming into the side (or Spencil for that matter).
-
You seem to have him gone already and have already gone into the first stage of grieving (anger/abuse - "selfish sod"). How about we just wait until the end of the season... his manager may well have told him that he can squeeze a bit more out of the club. None of us know, so why not wait and see?

Have to agree for the most part...and add to that list My Mother the Car, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction etc. There have been moments of brilliance since (The Bob Newhart Show, Seinfeld etc) but they have been few and far between.

Robinson and Toby Greene in an almost dead heat followed by daylight and then Harvey and Jack Reiwoldt in another close run contest for the last position on the podium. -

I might be wrong, but I think you'll find that Matt Jones was out for a rib injury. -
I'd like to see Watts re-sign as well.

Sylvia is being brought back for a guest spot.

So they can shout out a clearly enunciated "Hurrah!" upon slotting it.

And how many of that particular Dees team are playing this Sunday? -
Just throw together a few of those "old jungle sayings".

If ANB can rack up 39 disposals against Sandy, he may well break the 50 barrier against the Lions :-)

Jetta gone for a week, Vince free to play.

Well there you go, Jetta's week was the result of a demarcation issue. -

Was that before or after the game? ;-) -
Commercial films have been deteriorating as Hollyweird for the most part seems bereft of original ideas, I'll give you that, but there have been plenty of superb "maverick" film makers in more recent times...John Waters, Jim Jarmusch, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, and the list goes on. And what about the 40's and 50's? Film noir, high drama, science fiction that hadn't been ruined by science fact getting in the way of a good story and so on. Films like The Maltese Falcon, Giant, Forbidden Planet, etc.

Did you miss the post above that says Dr Larkins believes he should be rested for the remainder of the year? Additionally, we have no idea what his record was with concussions prior to joining an AFL team. Players who attack the ball like Brayshaw does are likely to have suffered numerous concussions in junior competition... there is one such kid in my son's team (just under 14's) who has already suffered two or three concussions this year... to the point where he woke up with such a bad headache that he had to go to the hospital for an immediate check-up. Not only did Blease retire due to issues but also there is the well publicised case of Daniel Bell who suffered brain damage. I find it rather incredible that some supporters see the need to put these players out there regardless of potential major health issues, simply in order to improve our chances of winning a few games. Some things are simply bigger than the game.

I actually saw them back then (I think at an ANU union night in Canberra in the 70's) when they were known as The Keystone Angels. I thought they were great... wasn't so keen on the Angels though, I have to admit. I'm pretty sure one of the former Angels (can't recall which one) has been working in the indigenous communities assisting with raising money for dialysis machines etc.

Roger Corman made the original "Little Shop of Horrors" that featured an as yet little known actor Jack Nicholson as a sadistic dentist; in fact, most Corman films are worth a look. Russ Meyer's "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" is a must watch, if for no other reason than it features an appearance by the psychedelic band The Strawberry Alarm Clock.

As does one Max Gawn.

Why is Michie still being named in the Casey team when he is named in the 22 playing AFL tomorrow?
-
Technically speaking we haven't had the easiest draw, as when the draw was put together, 4 of the teams we have played finished above us on the ladder last year.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

I think the players generally have a pretty good grasp on reality and I'm sure they are prepared to work and wait for their opportunities. The supporters on the other hand... Rather than "entitlement" I think of it as more of the generational attitude of "instant gratification" (the fast food generation). -
If that piece of nit-picking is the best you can do in order to deflect, then good luck with the rest (I'm not particularly embarrassed over misquoting one word that has essentially the same meaning). And I find it beyond amusing, that you would even attempt to compare yourself to Einstein in any way, shape, or form...the word delusional springs to mind, bordering on a narcissistic personality disorder.
