  1. If they get Sherman they've rebuilt they're midfield in one draft/trade week Wallis is ready made and Libba needs a bit more of time but can play. Outside of Gold coast the Bulldogs look big winners from this years off season.
  2. Just off trade week radio Huchy reckons that we are in to Hale and we have offered up pick 12 plus 32 for Hale and pick 17 Thats a big win to North if you ask me we are too early into our cycle of rebuilding to be trading any first round picks. North has balked at that offer.
  3. The whole thing about the MFC coaching position is that we should have top line people banging down our door.
  4. A whole year of filth supporters bleating how good they are. There is positively nothing worse.
  5. Just get the colours right don't ask for much that's all get the bloody colours right then stick to them.
  6. Become exactly 3 times better the player he currently is. Do not want or need absolute spud.
  7. Cry babies GFC 2 premierships in 4 years, success, stadium development, one town team, financial stability, indivdual accolades, all the plaudits they have had it all won it all. In fact Ablett's leaving is akin to: You saw him spit in my face! Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
  8. Don't want Maric trade for round 7 pick in the draft Essenscum can keep Alwyn Davey two words: List Clogger Hope Bruce stays the longer it takes the less likely it seems I'd expected us to have all our players we wanted to keep signed on by now.
  9. While I understand the link between Wellman and Hird is a strong one the part I don't agree with is that he agreed to a years contract extention a month ago. Only to jump ship when he got a better offer elsewhere. Right now he is probably drafting a reports about all our player strengths and weaknesses, structure, facilities and gameplan to provide to the Essenscum heirachy . Hardly "High Performance with High Integrity" on Wellman's behalf
  10. Just want to make mention the terrific work done in attendence performance at our games. Alot of work done by Cam and others over the season one great initiative I thought was getting Cam Sinclair to jump at the MCG it was awesome entertainment and i reckon the MFC could become pioneers in game entertainment. Catering beyond the usual attractions and bring the masses through the gates. We had a season with 1 friday night game, 6 saturday day games, 3 saturday night games, 9 Sunday day games 2 Sunday twilight games and 1 Queens Birthday game. Our total home game attendence was up by 100K our total away up by 55k. we did play collingwood twice but we played adelaide, west coast, port adelaide (at TIO), Sydney all in home games Our attendences are up by 25% compare to last year So to reward our increase attendence and relevance I demand at least 3-4 Friday games and 7 Saturday night games time to get the mfc on prime time and free to air.
  11. Could be traded but I think he will stay. We have a lot of good tall defenders and just because there's some competition for spots doesn't automatically warrant Warnock being traded. KPDs don't grow on trees - much like KPF's. Managing 13 games for MFC is disappointing he continues to suffer from poor disposal. He is a bigger bodied player, but suffers in aerobic capacity. Needs to work hard in the offseason to have an impact in 2011 but I do think that he is still better than a seconds player.
  12. Here, here, There's been a lot of absurdity written about Jones when the stats say the opposite. His disposal effeciency is 73% best amongst our full time midfielders and in the top 15 of all players. He ranks 8th for contested possessions. Brent Moloney, Aaron Davey, James Mcdonald, Tom Scully and Colin Sylvia are ahead on the clanger count and played less games then him. He ranks 4th for inside 50's at the club. He also ranks 4th for disposals. Unfortunately, for a 22 year old who has almost made it to 100 games from 4 seasons he is judged beyond far too harshly both in expectation and what he's delivered. If he continues to improve as he has done he could be elite amongst he's class he certainly has time on his side. He's consistent, hard at it, in and under player and rarely gets injured. Many things of which the MFC is in short supply.
  13. And i'm saying that Cameron Bruce isn't the head of our list management department so whether Mcdonald left or not shouldn't effect his decision. If Cameron Bruce and his manager where deciding to stay or go why would they be swayed by being on the Vet's List. It's a pure win for the MFC Bruce get's nothing for it. I'm sure Bruce won't go the enticement to be a one club player amongst your mates is far stronger than enticement onto the Vet's list.
  14. I can only surmise that he'd consider going to GC because he'd get more years e.g 2-3 instead of the probable 1 he'd get at MFC. Remember he's out of contract he's essentially a free agent. In other words what happened with Mcdonald should bare no effect on his decision.
  15. 1. The Injuries - we have got to have had the worst injury record over the last 3 years. 2. Stefan Martin - Massive step backwards quickly approaching delisting. 3. So many Sunday games and who the Fcuk honestly thinks Sunday twilight games are any good.
  16. I'm sorry but I have to slap myself on the back I was one of a few who vehemently protested Dunn not being played earlier in our often dysfunctional forward line. Finally he was placed where he naturally performs instead of through the midfield as a tagger and guess what he flourished so well done to me I say. so in no particular order 1. Resolution of debt and relocation from Junction Oval to AAMI Park 2. Lynden Dunn's improvement 3. Our Backline - Has kept us competitive all year without them we'd be as bad as Wet Toast
  17. There is a rumour doing the rounds that Bruce/GC will announce he is going to the Gold Coast post the BandF, it will be announced tomorrow. I don't place any weight in it I have no source I have heard 2nd and 3rd hand. But it has been persistent and this is the rumour thread.
  18. This celebration of MFC's mediocrity, an umpire cheating and a fluke goal makes me want to vomit even if we got Trengove. How about we see it as the crap it trully was rather than celebrating failure.
  19. Oh really well hope you haven't put your house on it according to the coaches association votes up until round 19 in which Bailey votes as well as the Bluey the tally board is as follows: Sylvia: 40 Frawley: 36 Moloney: 32 Green: 30 Jamar: 29 Mcdonald: 24 Davey: 14 But wait for it Bruce: 1 I can't see how he could possibly win unless he poles well when we play crap.
  20. So it comes to the business end where careers are salvaged, swapped, squandered or stomped on. Delistings: Maric - I just don't see it he's another Valenti type who can dominate at VFL and that's it yes he was rough to get dropped a couple of rounds ago. But is was the first half decent game he's played for the MFC. 12 games 3 seasons chance is over. Just re-read the contracted players seems Maric must have another year poo.Delist to rookie possibly. Miller - Consensus is he is a great leader who has been phenomenal in this area. He has qualified for Father & Son so Brad get breading. No room left for him. Bell - Doesn't have the motor, legs or disposal ability in midfield and is 9th to 10th ranked in the backline. Newton - Not much to say really decent at VFL level lacked the ability to impose himself at AFL level. Possible Delistings: Mcdonald - Captain's choice has the right to call time when it suits him. Martin - Again likely type who just can't seem to impose himself at all. Definitely on the cusp.I wonder If we can delist then rookie him like we did with players last year. McNamara - Hasn't shown much so far possible further development required. Rookie Delistings: Healey Hughes Meesen Rookie Elevations: McKenzie - Amazing season has shown as much as Skully and Trengove with some size he will be a belter. Spencer - Hasn't shown enough for promotion to main list re-rookie if possible. 3 main list delistings 3 rookie delistings
  21. Just to reinterate the Journeyman Dunn saved our bacon with 3 goals tonight 2 from outside 50. Starting to play to his potential.
  22. Absolutely lovely 2 goals after half time a worry lets sing the song loud and proud the emblem of the team we love.
  23. Hope we have done enough jeez we have gone to sleep after half time.
  24. Dunn may have just saved our bacon need another for the sealer though
  25. Such a pivotal season defining game for the MFC this one Great to see we are taking it to them and up by 5 goals at the half. Considering our wet weather form be great to see us take control further. Really impressive so far the quiteness of the Brisbane crowd shows how well we are going. 3rd quarter definately the most important must restrict their scoring opportunities.
