It's commendable that you back the Ox but that turn phrase "the guy gave his all for the dees" please just read his book if you can stomach it. You will soon realise the error in that statement.

At year's end we need change/s in football department
Diablo Deemon replied to jayceebee31's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd like to see footy department overhaul. I think another 35-50% expenditure in the footy department would be good especially sports science areas and recovery as well as injury rehab/prevention and considering Trengove's encounters with the tribunal and our teams inconsistency with tackles I'd like to see a full time tackling coach. With all our new sponsors getting on board a footy department sponsor would be good This is the area where difference is made. The footy department is our biggest gap between other clubs -
Needs to improve by 25% across all facets of his game to be a regular quality player. After the massive talk amongst the club officials about his preseason this is a major concern. He is in the bottom 5 players at the club and is a likely delisted, is unlikely to be traded (no one would offer anything) and is a 20% chance to be looked at by GWS

I watched the video and boy do the memories flood back he really was the personification of all things great about MFC in the 80's and 90's Seeing him wearing the big V very emotional great tribute MFC I often get asked why Melbourne and I have often given a long winded story of how I barracked for them from 2years of age Now all I think I need to say is with players like Sean Wight how could it not be Melbourne

Shocking news my condolences to all his family. One of my favourite players just remember him mesmerising me with his athleticism He rates as having the best moustacha in the business also. Much loved forever remembered RIP.

Exactly what cost or price are you referring too? Contract wise - I reckon the footy department will offer what he's worth. If he doesn't like it he'll jump like Bruce did. Place in 22 - I think 2 injury seasons has disrupted his progress and confidence. Nicholson, other rookies, as well as other low draft picks don't offer/play as Morton does. On current form he isn't best 22. Is he a required player? absolutely Areas of game he needs to improve to go forward Team Defence/Defensive mindset - needs to work for his mates/needs to develop an appetite for physical contest. Disposal needs some work especially kicking If you question whether he can make it go get up a tape of his run with role with Goodes when we played them up at Manuka Oval 2009.

Hardly think the VFL should have to put up with a suspended player for vilification. Should just have been suspended. Hope he sits out the front of the entire team and they throw rotten fruit at him leading teams style. The big question is if what he's done worse than what Aker did and if you have set a precedent for unacceptable behaviour shouldn't this be maintained for consistency. Therefore it follows he should be sacked cause I'd argue he's bought the club into more disrepute than Aker.

Tom Mcdonald 194cm Has looked the goods when I've seen him play very smart footballer going to be a regular of our defense. Same height as Chip. Troy Davis 192cm Haven't seen him play as much has been ill but is coming along steadily at Casey As for Morton I think he is still a required player. Could be lacking confidence had a finger injury which disrupted his preseason and last year had a 10 week knee injury. Big problem I have seen lately is his kicks lack penetration he's kicking little dinky floaty passes needs to get his head over the ball and fire it through so that they're not intercepted.

I for one hope when he finishes his career he'll come back to us and provide some sort of a role I think he will offer a lot coaching wise. Just rubbing the hands for some father/son action imagine the possibilities Best of luck Brad I met and had a chat to you after an intra club down at Casey and you will never meet a better bloke. Had plenty of time for kids and autographs as well. all the best.

I have advocated that Tom is gone and I must say I change my mind nearly every second day but I read the following article from today and oh how it warmed my heart. Jordan Gysberts key to Melbourne's engine room

If a low number gives you the ability to play with confidence you are the definition of a fair weather player. His groins are absolutely stuffed and I see he is out with a Groin from this weeks side. He is a fair ordinary player not a crack but they are a dime a dozen his one attribute was his speed and that's shot by the groins as well

Match ups for Vickery, Martin, Riewoldt
Diablo Deemon replied to Dee Landing's topic in Melbourne Demons
There are a couple of keys to this game. Cotchin he is the best midfielder for the toigs he must be stopped therefore Mckenzie gets first crack. Deledio he has been in form and a rebound genius he isn't a Physical player so expect Macdonald or Morton to play on him especially as he pushes through the midfield. Vicery while forward gets Garland. Riewoldt gets Frawley Martin gets Trengove -
It really disappoints me when I hear of supporters who have fallen off the wagon. We have so few in the greater scheme of things. All those who have a passion for MFC should never let it wane. All I can say to Hinch is I think the club has been reborn and we now welcome all except keep the agendas at the door Didn't the Melbourne rooms demolishing happen in 2003. I wonder if Beverley O'Connor has felt aggrieved by the situation considering she didn't leave the board till 2008 Also I think it's hypocritical call MFC a boys club when we are the first to appoint a female director. Finally I reckon we are doing great things as a club recognising Women I look at BCNA affiliation and Field of Women and the support of Victorian Women's League makes me proud as a supporter. I often receive comments from female friends that they are impressed by the way we seem to be recognising women's place in the game. So Hinch cut us some slack, come back to the club even though I don't like you I'll still want you as a supporter of our great club.
