  1. Would you classify this match as critical??? Only rassin !
  2. As far as I am concerned WINNING games is the most important factor to and for our development. Pity we did not win this match - but it was an almighty effort- this is what we want from our team- a real red hot go.
  3. Great to see such an optimistic supporter. I actually agree with most you say- however you are also on record as saying we will win 3 of the first six. And on last Saturdays form that is not above us.
  4. I agree that Spencer & McKenzie will step up- Gawn will not play for at least 8 weeks from now and Tapscott - who knows.McKenzie, has a bright future and he could tag, play small back, ruck rove- whatever. And we need Spencer in the ruck with Jamar forward and second ruck.
  5. There is a strong possibility that Roughead may have to play in the ruck. My best opening round team now is: FIRST ROUND TEAM –2010 B: CHENEY WARNOCK RIVERS HB: MacDONALD FRAWLEY STRAUSS C: BRUCE McDONALD TRENGOVE HF: GREEN MILLER BATE F: DAVEY JAMAR PETTERD R: SPENCER DUNN JONES I: SYLVIA McKENZIE MALONEY SCULLY
  6. Rudeboy has just emailed me to confirm what Cam stated. Does not know how long he will be out but very disappointed he will miss playing with his brother Wona for a while. He has been very much looking forward to play with Aussie.
  7. A sincrely GREAT effort from th young boys. We had several chances in the last 5 minutes missing reasonably easy goals. Ruddy kicking again. Rudeboy emailed me and said he spoke to Liam who said his shoulder popped out and they put it back in.Does not know how things will work out until cools down etc..Rudeboy said he was very upset as he was very much looking forward to playing with his brother -Wona. We have plenty of time to watch the magic of these two young men. Go Dees. Great try..
  8. He could have played more experienced players if he had of chosen to
  9. Very interesting point Schwabby makes re twitter, that the average games of 27 were by the team fielded against Essendon.Shows that Bails wants to get game time into these inexperienced players.
  10. Because one does not have to travel in a plane and sit there. Some halmstring injuries are affected from the back thus sitting can be a problem therefore non sitting is SAFER.
  11. Thanks for update WJ--By what you have stated the two talls-Meeson & Gawn are the major concerns-Gawn should be ready in about 10 weeks and poor John who knows. Feel very sorry for him. I sincerely hope he can get onto the park by mid year and shows us that he is worthwhile continuing. Any word on PJ,although we know he has a foot injury and is expected back in 5 weeks? And young Luke Tapscott and his recovery from hip surgery.Notification, if any would be very much appreciated.
  12. It will be very interesting to see if they play him in Adelaide-- based on training today he will play.
  13. Interesting to note the club has decided NOT to take Wona to Adelaide. the clubs website states that Forwards Austin Wonaeamirri and Matthew Bate will play an intra club practice match with VFL team Casey Scorpions tonight, after a decision was made not to play them in this weekends NAB Challenge game. Wonaeamirri missed the entire 2009 season with injury, and will be aiming to throw his hat into the ring for selection in Round 1. Better to be safe than sorry. And great to see that our Melbournefc website reported this - to our members and supporters FIRST.
  14. Glad you have given up- too much to carry.Have a great day -we will come good -just we all have to be patient as Jimma says.
  15. It is my understanding we signed-or the AFL signed up 3 years ago-I believe for a 5 year contract. However as the AFL has told me- the clubs can or organise change anytime. I know for a fact that alot of things that are very much changable we can do ourselves. It s called communication-- either Melbournefc with us or the MFC Communications dept with Bigpond. Therefore management of communication is needed. We will never ever be in a position to do all ourselves due to the sponsorship available.
  16. Gee I think you have actually got on a winner at long last- Wack away-I think we as a club have been doing this since 1964.However Jimma will not hear of this anymore. However I think we would like one or two in the club that will WACK AWAY. Miller and Sylvia would if allowed. And any club needs players like them with younger ones around. As for me I can assure you- I will always WACK AWAY-may even change my ID to Wack away.I hope you are one whom does as one says. I can assure you I have done so--what about you?? And by the way Jimma wants 30000 before season starts- so you better buy 100. Get somethings right will ya. Regards- Wackaway-JCB
  17. On our website it states that Wona is back along with Dunn,Spencer and McNamara .Great to get some preactice into this lot. Al be it, Bennell, Sylvia and Moloney will be rested and Cale will be back after 8 weeks or so. Strong list I think. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/90213/default.aspx
  18. I might just have to get together with you two fine blokes-HT & Keyser Soze and sought you out. Let's meet and have a chat..Others must be getting sick of it..How about training at 10am at the Junction Oval tommorrow. I will see if C.C will go referee.
  19. Agree with some of your points- 3 years ago we played North at Casey, got belted, when we were trying to gain momentum. This was start of the rot we have had to go through since. We need to get our playing group together and practice as one to form the nucleus of our best 22 against Hawthorn. However, I truthfully feel it would be disastrous to cop two more beltings of 40 points or more.
  20. I might have been wrong when I said the match against Freo was critical re membership to get to 31000 it might have been real advantageous if we played well. However it will be critical if we blasted by a half a side in Adelaide and nearly suicidal if we got wacked at Casey the following week--Do you agree??
  21. I do not believe you are correct- Telstra Bigpond do it on behalf of many clubs..however I have had a [censored] about it for years, they can upgrade many sections themselves- FACT.
  22. Echo your sentiments fully.Maybe his boys will continue the Lyon name at Demonland
  23. Hi HT-- I expected someone to rip me apart re this point. I made the point that I even make mistakes. Still I hope he succeeds.I still think we need another tall forward with a frame like his or Hawkins. I here Temel may be playing with Coburg.By the way was you impressed with Fitzpatricks first game at NAB level. I am sure Temel could have done equally well.I watched all the NAB finals that I recorded and I still think Temel would have been great for us.But you maybe right- we may not have had the staff to get him right- re fitness after our collapse against Essendon. And he needed it. I went and had a look at the rookie Daw at North last week - he will make it.And overall, I know you would like TEMEL to make it somewhere.Even with Oak Park or somewhere like it.
  24. No we will win 7 matches overall and has been my believe since before Xmas.We will get close to the budgeted amount of 31000 by close of membership end of December. However, our NAB cup results make it very doubtful that we will get 30000 before season starts- that is 7000 more in less than 4 weeks. This is what Jimma is aiming for. Now is this being realistic and not negative, and one whom calls their favourite player as J.Brown is that positive as a supporter of the club.Get with it [censored] and you call me Mr Negative. You maybe known as this-- having a favourite player outside your so called team you claim you barrack for.
