  1. Iagree re change from scarf to cap or a new hat. Suggest this to the club
  2. I do- however I'd keep Wellman ,but give him a different role. I wouldn't give Mahoney a different role as a think he is a specialist forward coach. I sincerely think Wellman could even end up as our Senior coach- I think he is outstanding.
  3. Understand your points but a specialist coach is like a school teacher- you can only handle them for a period of time and I think Josh's time is at the end of this year.
  4. Allen Jackovich could becoming kicking coach whilst Mark Jackson could show the players how to do hand stands too.
  5. And we let go players recently that played in premiership teams: Jolly, Armstrong,Bishop etc..
  6. Maybe we should try to get your favourite player down-J.Brown.McNamee was very interested -wasn't he ?
  7. Many thanks for highlighting it for next week--a reminder next Monday would be great.
  8. Please note that I am not advocating Connolly leaving- suggesting we may consider getting Fagan back as an Assistant coach(role he is currently doing at Hawthorn) or as a Development coach- Manager. This,I feel would be an ideal role for him and the club.
  9. Very fair comment- would not mind having Fagan back and White as ruck coach alongside Viney..
  10. In evaluating the current list we have got and I believe we should add some experienced players to it through the draft 2010- I feel the next step is to gain a brilliant coaching team - one which has got MFC backround. Also, no doubt their will be some other changes to the football department. In doing so, the list may comprise of: Clarkson,Daniher-revisited possibly as Director of football,Fagan,Viney, Bomber Riley, Luke Beveridge - current Collingwood Development Manager,Tony Elshaugh,Peter German, Paul Williams,Jeff White,Leigh Newton. Please add others that I have missed. Football Dept may hold: Connolly, O'Donnell, Wellman and possibly West. Would you have any of the above reenter the MFC -and in what role.? I'd love to see Viney back but with young Jack ready to be picked in 2012- may not be a sound pick? Some may say- too early to consider now- however we need to get a strategy together.Whom would you have?
  11. Could you cope being beaten by me?
  12. HT-- Thanks for misrepresenting my post-- no words were underlined. However, thanks for showing up that I was right.
  13. More than 4500 members need to be signed this week- sorry Jimma- the team let you down in the critical match against Fremantle for momentum..Told you all this would happen. However we will win this week regain momentum and reach the budgeted 31000. I hope.
  14. You are just purely rude and ignorant. We have more players that have had more match practise from playing in 2009.Whilst we lost Robbo,Whelan & Wheatley they hardly played a game last year. Therefore, their experienced counted for virtually zero.Your understanding of football and its development is basically zero.
  15. an attainment that is successful is my definition of success- such as we through so called development of players we reached our goal of reaching only 4 wins. Some say,and Iagree -that we tanked- therfore did not try on our merits. This is what Bailey stated he was doing- developing players buy developing them in different positions- such as Johnson in the back pocket- Warnock at centre half forward-therefore my definition of development in this sense is the act of improving by expanding the individual and the team.Yes at the end of the year they culled-Robbo, Whelan, Wheatley -whom the whole 3 only played a handful of games ,where several others such as Morton played 20 odd, Bennell played 16 odd, Cheney played 12,Jetta played 12, Spencer played several matches. It was the year that the MFC played several players and they got match practise. To me that is development.Experioenced players are worthless if they cannot get a game and are not worthy to be held.I think you just argue for the sake of it- you just do not hgave a grasp on the MFC itself.
  16. You will argue for the sake of arguing but you are dead set wrong.Success and development are two different aspects. We are more experienced than last year and more developed than the start of the 2009 season.Actually we are the second youngest team in the comp.Last year as I stated we had several injuries as well- Jamar,Spencer,Wonaeamirri, Garland, Buckley are some that come to my mind.We are definately in a different stage in the cycle- upwards from last year. We have gained 5 new recruits- two of the first picks- that alone should improve us along with a given- another year into Watts. Blease & Strauss hopefully will play games. Our list has definately improved from last year. We also sent Bailey, Schwab et.. overseas looking at development etc.. so this should also help a little. We only need a little as I explained earlier to win at least 7 games.
  17. I think you guys are being unrealistic with our position on the ladder -Here is what I think: Bulldogs Collingwood Geelong St Kilda Adelaide Brisbane Hawthorn Swans Kangaroos West Coast Carlton Port Adelaide Fremantle Essendon Melbourne Richmond
  18. And yes- they have to believe in themselves. If they could win first up wll give them, the club and supporters great monmentum forward-- and that is what we need.
  19. If you read my post properly I stated every year is one of development/ continous improvement.Bailey has stated (openly at the AGM) that he would like to see the team improve by 15 points as per Roost it's explanation in his post. This then would turn our wins to 7 based on last years performance. However other teams may have improved more than us.
  20. I don't know what last years was if it wasn't development.I feel every year is development-continuous improvement. But we should be striving for success- and that means 7 wins based on Bailey's statement of improvement of at least 15 points from last year.
  21. We have not reached our goal set by Bailey
  22. Fact- results are as follows: Won 4 games. RD5 beaten by Adelaide by 17 points RD7 beaten by West Coast in Perth by 8 points RD 8 " " bulldogs by 7 points RD 9 Hawks by 22 points RD 17 " " SWANS BY 18 POINTS- WHILST TANKING. RD 18 " " RICHMOND BY 4 POINTS " " Bailley says we need to reduce our loosing margins by at least 15 points therefore: So the above shows we could have easily WON 7 games .Therefore NOT TO WIN AT LEAST 7 this year would have to be deemed as a regression.Especially when we had several injuries last year as well. Jamar, Garland, Wonaemirri,Buckley etc.. could not be considered for virtually the whole year and when Jamar returned Meeson crashed. Therefore I say we need to win at least 7 games especially with our draw & development. Your thoughts?
  23. Respect your point- but hungry for turnaround.Hiope it does not take 3 years with your explanation.
  24. Dan- noticed you did not make comment on his singing/ guitar work--I was wondering what you thought of Robbo in this aspect? And by gee he would be very handy right now at Full Forward - don't you think.
  25. Welcome and well said, actually inspirational..- As we all have a right to a say- you have had yours and explained your thoughts, very well indeed. However, in your opening paragraph you state---Actually I believe they can achieve more than the modest aspiration of a handful of wins. I strongly state that this would be insufficient. We could and should have won at least that many last year- excepting -Why & we all know the reasons. If we do not win 7 games- I feel we have gone backwards in some regards and I believe the club would want more than a handful(5) WINS.Have agreat time on the site.
