  1. Too true- both a wobbly at times..Sculls actually the worse..both needs assistance in this area
  2. Always a greater chance to go to GC. Will be picked up earlier than most think. Starred for Calder and played well wirh Vic metro in 2009 and showed great leadership in captaining Vic Metro this year.I think he also captained Calder Cannons as well. I think he is a quality footballer whom can play as a midfielder- rover, winger type.
  3. D'day for this young player.Needs to really produce to hold his spot on the list- and as many earlier have said- maybe even a trade could be on the cards this year.
  4. Good call- actually excellent call- a HUGE pre season will bring him really on. Wouldn't be surprised if they play him in different roles next year. Maybe a wing or even ruck rover.
  5. Grimes's kicking isn't consistent. He made many mistakes kicking out and in field play this year.Strauss- if good enough is a better kick-Gilbee type.
  6. Good on ya mate-knew you would not go to his level-
  7. I have usually supported your posts- however I think this is a little over the top- it is always hard in recruiting- you never know how any player will go until tested against the ultimate best. And look at the above players you have outlined- all showed ability - maybe Weetra being the exception- however didn't make an elite player. There is and will always be these types on all lists- we cannot all be elite players.Lastly,I thought Kowal was a pretty good footballer -played over 100 games and was a midget at 173 cms tall. Darren Kowal Last played for Melbourne Demons in 1999 Games: 105 Born: June 18, 1972 Playing Height: 173cm Playing Weight: 74kg
  8. This maybe so- but how have you come to this conclusion?
  9. As I said it is a punt- if we could not get Hale- I think he could turn out to be a very good draft pick-as good as Leigh Brown has turned out at Collingwood.I realise he is injury prone but worth a punt in my opinion IF the cards don't fall for Hale. And furthermore, I'd like us to retain Warnock.
  10. And of special note he was one of the first to be interviewed by our football department.
  11. Maybe a name called Morton may be a better trade.
  12. Give him a guernsey in our football dept and he would jump at it.Retain him that is what I say!
  13. For the one's that go reguarly to training one would notice how good he is, however, after 3 years it was probably time to move on.To bring another experirnced defensive coach in to further progress these players is ideal timing IMO.Just hope we go for the best in assist further development. One less person going to China.
  14. WJ Thanks for highlighting this definition. I believe that the Demonlanders are the best group in the world, and or the MFC is the best sporting club in the world- does this make me a racist- If so I can then tolerate being a racist.
  15. What about Dean Laidley for one?
  16. If this is not the most ridiculous post you have ever made it would be the second most-
  17. Second that point- although I don't know if he had a fallout with im Harrington when both were at the kangas.Great technician- great back up to Bails.Would not be surprised if either West or Mahoney go either. If not Junior could be a real good choice- one of the best tacklers the club has ever had.
  18. Are you sure that it was Dunn and not Bate that got permission from the AFL to go into that particular draft?.
  19. Good points you raise and furthermore allowing Jamar to rest at full forward would also greatly impact on the opposing defense. It would also be enhanced if Martin could play in a key defensive role say as a back pocket and take some ruckwork in that area.If we don't pick him up- I like Laycock from Essendon as a worthwhile punt.
  20. A great future with a great attitude- another 5 kls added would really assist his body.
  21. I think he will become vice captain to Brad Green but great to see Davey in this spirit and confidence
  22. As the saying goes- do the crime, do the time. This is a grave mistake by both Essendon and Hird which will affect both drammatically and cost them valuable time to come back up the ladder. They not only need an experienced senior coach or an experienced assistant-they need players.
