  1. Agree with yours and Frddie's sentiments- after today we should feel very confident and not over confident with our future. We are not far away but still need to develop. It will be very interesting whom we add to our coaching panel and draft selections. Thanks Andy and all the Mods-and best wishes to E25 too.
  2. Hale is not worth a second round pick- 3rd maybe.
  3. I think your summation is quite accurate-Warnock ahead of Tarrant.I'd keep Warnock as a back up-without him we haven't got a call if we have an injury except Martin.
  4. Would you swap Scully or Trengove for him?
  5. Two that spring to mine were Crosswell and Carman- both could play football and play UP. I think he could make a rookie selection or a very late pick.
  6. Maybe Mitch Clark & Jared Brennan or Sherman
  7. A great footballer whom will adapt to a top leader at this club. Got the makeup and versatility to lead by example with courage and determination.
  8. Too true- both a wobbly at times..Sculls actually the worse..both needs assistance in this area
  9. Always a greater chance to go to GC. Will be picked up earlier than most think. Starred for Calder and played well wirh Vic metro in 2009 and showed great leadership in captaining Vic Metro this year.I think he also captained Calder Cannons as well. I think he is a quality footballer whom can play as a midfielder- rover, winger type.
  10. D'day for this young player.Needs to really produce to hold his spot on the list- and as many earlier have said- maybe even a trade could be on the cards this year.
  11. Good call- actually excellent call- a HUGE pre season will bring him really on. Wouldn't be surprised if they play him in different roles next year. Maybe a wing or even ruck rover.
  12. Look whose talking !
  13. Grimes's kicking isn't consistent. He made many mistakes kicking out and in field play this year.Strauss- if good enough is a better kick-Gilbee type.
  14. Good on ya mate-knew you would not go to his level-
  15. I have usually supported your posts- however I think this is a little over the top- it is always hard in recruiting- you never know how any player will go until tested against the ultimate best. And look at the above players you have outlined- all showed ability - maybe Weetra being the exception- however didn't make an elite player. There is and will always be these types on all lists- we cannot all be elite players.Lastly,I thought Kowal was a pretty good footballer -played over 100 games and was a midget at 173 cms tall. Darren Kowal Last played for Melbourne Demons in 1999 Games: 105 Born: June 18, 1972 Playing Height: 173cm Playing Weight: 74kg
  16. This maybe so- but how have you come to this conclusion?
  17. Great summary
  18. As I said it is a punt- if we could not get Hale- I think he could turn out to be a very good draft pick-as good as Leigh Brown has turned out at Collingwood.I realise he is injury prone but worth a punt in my opinion IF the cards don't fall for Hale. And furthermore, I'd like us to retain Warnock.
  19. And of special note he was one of the first to be interviewed by our football department.
  20. Maybe a name called Morton may be a better trade.
  21. Give him a guernsey in our football dept and he would jump at it.Retain him that is what I say!
  22. For the one's that go reguarly to training one would notice how good he is, however, after 3 years it was probably time to move on.To bring another experirnced defensive coach in to further progress these players is ideal timing IMO.Just hope we go for the best in assist further development. One less person going to China.
  23. WJ Thanks for highlighting this definition. I believe that the Demonlanders are the best group in the world, and or the MFC is the best sporting club in the world- does this make me a racist- If so I can then tolerate being a racist.
  24. What about Dean Laidley for one?
  25. I would take him for our fifth draft pick.
