  1. OK- played his role but didn't star.
  2. After pushing him-Serhat Temel like crazy last year- I was taught a very valuable lesson--Football dept's know more than us posters most times regarding players to recruit.. For any player whom had such an outstanding finals series in the TAC under 18'S and didn't even get a guernsey anywhere on a AFL list and other posters whom pushed like crazy for Majak Daw whom was on the interchange for Werribee 2nd's on several occasions qualifies them better than us posters whom think we know a little more than them at times. When we look at BP and his team and the unbelievable quality they have brought to our list is quite unbelievable. However, this site is about having some fun, most times. Jack Darling or Luke Mitchell for our draft 12 IMO.Please leave Serhat at the Bendigo Bombers who played one game this year. However, if someone else picked him up and he made it- I'd love to say I told you so.
  3. Agree- plenty of time and they know a hell of alot better than us-another LJ with a few more pounds would do me just fine thank you very much.
  4. Wow- thank you I missed this info- quite agree -worth definately looking at.Hope BP or one of them were there.Sure they would as they have every other year- however did not notice any there last week-Did you WJ.?
  5. Great comments like usual WJ- He is also versatile as I stated earlier- can hold down CHB as well.I think, by memory he ia about 194 cms tall also- please advise.
  6. Have a look at the team sheet- they have got something like 14 listed Carlton players in it.Maybe if we didn't have so many injuries Casey would be there. 2011 is our year. With regards my questioning re Temel & Mitchell-I was just questioning your thoughts. Serhat kicked 5 last year.Mitchell kicked 3. I wasn't able to make today as I am in Malaysia. I went and watched the prelm's last week and thought Luke was also a little slow.Similar to Serhat. Just liked your opinion. And please note Enforcer- I was just querying another poster's thoughts as I respect others opinions and in particular The Oracle's.- unlike you-I do respect other 's views as well..And as I really rated Luke last year as a 17 year old.Maybe if you got off your butt and went to look for yourself you maybe become a little bit more learned than you are right now rather than the dribble you carry on with - on most occasions.
  7. Thanks for your thoughts and explanation. Luke played very well at CHB as well this year. Thanks also for your updates-very well done and I appreciated it very much.
  8. Why- is he better than Serhat? GC had the chance to pick Luke as a 17 yr old- he trained with them and they didn't.
  9. Is he better than my Serhat or not?
  10. There coming back- just 6 points down
  11. No- the year before.Last year I stated MFC should look at Luke Mitchell- however he was too young.Luke trained with GC but wasn't picked up- Maybe this year- he is starring already. Kicked 3 so far.
  12. Sensation effort this seson- challenge is now to hold his form or even better it.
  13. This is nearly the most sensible post you have ever made.We need him to become fitter though next year.
  14. That is what we are guessing in our posts-aren't we?
  15. Good thought-others may think you are dreaming.
  16. The Enforcer, my boy- you always try to enforce your views on others. And definately you do not read what posters say- I stated in my first post and furthermore stated it in my secod that I rate them both highly.I stated that I compared them both as similar-both taggers/inside players..How did Gysberts go to against the cats- Ablett as a tagger/inside player. Is he a running mid size tagger- Yes, he is. Furthermore,I rate Ling very highly for his role .I also rate Gysberts for his role. He played this similar role for Eastern Ranges and Vic Metro. Also I wanted to show his achievements, because I believe he will end up as good as Ling- if not better. Bye. Bye for now JCB boy.
  17. Again,we need to explain to you. Ling maybe described as a mid/tall and has been praised for his work as a inside defensive midfielder, claiming the scalps of numerous opponents. He is also a very long and accurate kick and handballer. It is my belief that Gysberts can also be described in a similar vein. Wikipedia described Jordan as an inside midfielder with good kicking skills Gysberts also represented the Vic Metro side in the 2008 and 2009 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and averaged 23 disposals a game in the TAC Cup in 2009 for the Eastern Ranges. Gysberts was named best on ground for the AFL/AIS Under 18 team during its 2009 Cape Town match against the South Africa national Australian rules football team. They went onto say...2010: Debut After playing a series of good performances for Melbourne's VFL affiliate the Casey Scorpions, Gysberts was selected by the Melbourne match committee to debut against the Geelong Football Club in Round 10 of the 2010 AFL Season. In an impressive display, Gysberts amassed 26 disposals for the game, the most of any Melbourne player and was named as one of Melbourne's best players whilst on debut, in a comprehensive victory for Geelong. Gysberts repeated the effort of leading Melbourne's possessions in his second game, with 27 overall and also recording four clearances, for which he was awarded a Rising Star nomination, becoming the third Melbourne player, after Jack Trengove and Tom Scully, to be nominated for the Rising Star in 2010 I believe they play a similar type of game but so far the record would in Jordon's favour..but he has a very long way to go.I hope I have justified my points to you once again.
  18. Very fair summary. However, I sincerely believe he has 3/4 years left in him.He finished of the season really well. Why would GC want to have him around- to assist and help develop the kids- shouldn't we?
  19. I have lost this year since coming back from the USA more than 10%.And by god I feel better, stronger and fitter.I train at least 15 hours a week now. Some players have bulked up too far- some need to put on weight.Matter of fact I think Lynch could improve drammatically if he lost say 7/8 kls.One player whom has lost a great deal of weight and to his betterment especially this year is Leigh Brown-194 101 23.02.82 still got alot of weight but trimmed down 8 kls and has developed durability to run out games whilst playing in several positions.I also train with Wil Minson whose frame has to carry around 108 kls currently. 10 kls is not that much difference on big frames but it is definately the fitness and durabiliy that these big men need to get into their game.I therefore repeat that 10% difference in big men such as Miller,Lynch, Minson is not that great shown in my example of Brown. Therefore I understand your point but hopefully you understand mine. And CHOOK-to my knowledge you live in Perth if not I would challenge you to come and watch me train. And guess what- their is only 8 kls difference B/W Mills & Lynch not 10%.You added up incorrectly 104 minus 96 = 8kls when I went to school.
  20. My namesake - very sad indeed especially at this time.RIP.
  21. Agree- if his position warrants it after one year then we look at it again.I think Cam has got most probably 3 to 4 years still left in him but we have to put our FD stategy into place.I too, thought Junior had a good year left in him.
  22. Save your money-- but if it is a must--an other player @$8.50 is the way I'd go. Wouldn't be surprised if Tom Scully polls well. However, I feel the votes will be very mixed.
