Mate, it a good question. Everyone talks about culture and clearly we are so appalling and need to develop a winning culture, but how the hell do you go about it? Is it so totally ingrained that it cannot be changed or can it be built from the ground up at a football club. Lots of questions but no answers from me i'm afraid. I think it needs to start with leadership among the playing group. We picked up experienced players from winning cultures (eg byrnes geelong and dawes collingwood). But can this really help a club or are leaders created from within the culture? Look at Selwood at Geelong. Amazing young leader but he had the player to learn from. My concern is that we have not brought in the right players from these winning clubs (yet to be proven) so how the hell are young guns like hogan, viney and toumpas going to learn?

Weak as pizz. Even worse that you have been a member for 30 years and throwing in the towel. We are the worst I have seen in my 20 years of membership and we have hit lower than rock bottom. Rather than dump and run I reckon I am going to stick it through as the other half needs me more than ever right now.

Gotta agree. I have never made negative comments about another poster but I am going to now... Range rover you seem to take a perverse glee in the club's darkest hour. Stop sticking the boots in. We all know about the massive issues we are faced with so give it a rest. Don't let your negative karma bite you I the arse is all I can say.

Great op wizza. I was thinking along similar lines after I watched neeld and grimes interviews post game. The look of despondency and stress was actually really hard to watch. We are all hurting right now but rather than condemn the club, players and coaches we need to support them in the darkest hour. I admire this thread and the views in it. I get the anger and why people are threatening to tear up memberships etc. But that is a weak response. You don't just give up on something or someone that is important to you when it all falls apart. Who is up for the fight and who will fail? I reckon generation dee's quote sums it up best. Adversity has smashed us right between the eyes. It is up to all of us to respond.

We got rid of a large number of list cloggers this year. But you are right and it is a real concern how many we still have left on the list...

Demon jack I agree we as supporters need to support through thick and thin. But today was nothing short of disgraceful.mi can accept losing but not in the manner they lost today. Did not fire a shot after half time. The team was an embarrassment, a joke. If the players don't care, how can we as supporters?

this guy will be a really strong mature age pick up judging from today's effort. like many older guys in the system he has a good size to play at the top level but what most impressed me is that he is also really clean with his skills and has a bit of pace. will be good to see how he goes...

Hi guys, I was there. I thought we have come along way from last year (not surprisingly). Quite a few missed targets to the grandstand wing (not making excuses but it is a pretty tough wind out there and a supporter next to me said the ground is NEVER not blowing hard!). Anyway, we have got some real talent coming through with the youngsters - Hogan (playing on chip did not look out of place at all - stupid rule that we have to wait to play him), Toumpas silky, thought JV a little quiet but meh, obviously Byrnes really good as well. Dunn and Watts look good, Davey unfortunately has lost a yard or two of pace, Sylvia involved, barry did some nice things. Like some of Taggert's play - did not recognise him at first. Thought Terlich turned it over a few times, matt Jones will be a starter round 1 I reckon - looks ready to rip. I think the main positive is that we have some more class and depth in the midfield.

Byrnes. Good luck to Ricky but whether he was injured or not the reality is when he played this year he looked totally disinterested.

Tex. Are you serious man? Petterd has not looked at all interested in the last two years. Was embarrassing the few times he played this year.Would have been one of the easiest decisions for the club to make. Did you stop and think that maybe he was delisted and not traded?

I am ok with pick 4, trade for pedersen and rookie upgrades for nicho, magner and maybe Evans. A very good drafting period for us.
