So what do we think it willl take to get pederson if we are waiting on comp picks? If we get 27 and 46 will 46 be enough? If we only get 27 is that too much for pederson and do we go to the draft with this pick?

Yeah, a massive thanks to all the site administrators, posters and viewers. While there are divergent opinions, perspectives + arguments, we all have one thing in common - we love the footy club and would love to see us climb back off the dungheap and back to the top where we belong. Kepp the faith peeps - after all success will taste sweeter considering how much bitter we have been forced to swallow over the last few years!!

Attended a lunch today with Neil Craig as a guest speaker. So impressive. I can guarantee the tail is no longer wagging the dog. We have defined a high performance culture. Individuals that cannot meet the requirements will no longer be tolerated (respectfully). So much more I gleaned from Neil but one thing is for sure ... Whether we recruit trade or pick up free agents, they will be hand picked to fit a system, talent alone will not cut it. A graph showing just how far the gap between u 18 comp and afl continues to widen makes for interesting reading. We will not be relying on just kids to pull us back up. Also, we will not be dictated to on deals over Jack Viney. If GWS or GCS bid so be it. If we believe that Jack is third best in the draft we will match. Simple as that. The guy might have revolutionized sport science in the AFL but he sure knows what constitutes leadership and how to create a high performance culture. They have started from scratch but they will not settle for mediocracy. He mentioned that to create a culture of success you need people who have experienced this. Everyone wants to be successful but not many know what it takes to get there. Don't be surprised to only see trades and FA from successful clubs only.

Big yes from me. Jacobs had a few injuries this year but was a ball magnet in his debut year. What would we have to give up? I expect 13? Or maybe a decent player? What do people think?

Good on you for thinking of innovative membership promos? I think with a few qualifiers eg: focus on kids memberships or new members or x number of years service, so it not too onerous would be a great idea. And yes you could make it a bit of pr value for the club. Good suggestion and one that should be filtered through to the club. Not sure how though?

If we trade for caddy with pick 13, we must also get an agreement from gc not to bid on viney. I would not mind if we also agree pick 4 for md pick 2 for gws with the same agreement. Could end up: - pick 3 (toumpas/orourke/kennedy for speed outside) - pick 4 hogan (kpf) - pick 13 + pettard - caddy + toy - 2nd round viney - some fta eg: byrnes, russell etc Would be happy with this.
