  1. Walker hit Jack T in the stomach behind the play. Jack was bent over double for quite some time.
  2. The hit on him today from Andrew Walker didn't help. Good on Tappy for coming in for his mate.
  3. R-C, my grammatical skills have not left me and I was just wondering why you do on a number of occasions say "your" in referring to "our" club. So, my humble apologies are forthcoming and I will never second guess "your" allegiances again.
  4. Ah sanity prevails. I was getting worried there for a while.
  5. I don't understand why you constantly refer to the MFC as "your" club. Are we not all supporters here of our club. Maybe why there is constant sniping from you because it isn't "your" club.
  6. Some other observations: Toumpas seemed to have an injury to his hand/finger/wrist - but did play well in the last quarter. Every time he came off he was gutted. Kent kicked a great goal after running down the wing. Fitzy - even though he played well I just dont get the feeling that he is an AFL player but maybe a very good VFL player Strauss liked his game. Dawes looked very relaxed and seem to be just ensuring that he made it through the game. Hogan was dirty having had to come off. Was muttering to himself and didnt look happy although he rarely looks happy (oh no!!!) Taggert did some nice things Dunn great kicking and positioning. Looked too good for VFL. Spencer an even game but didnt dominate. It was a good determined win as they had the wind in the last quarter which was worth at least 4-5 goals. They stuck to coach's directions which was to kick down the far wing (opposite the "grandstand") and to slow it down. His final words were that he believed in them. Interesting to see Melbourne development coaches there with forwards, backs and midfields.
  7. Just saw on the WJ locked thread that you have had a wager on the mighty demons v brisbane. If that was you that had a $$$$15,000 on the dees at 5's that is a lot of diet coke.
  8. Was Mitch walking at all. Golf cart = me going into meltdown. S put me out of my misery or am I jumping at shadows here.
  9. Junior, 1+1 dont always make 2. Dont jump to conclusions. Craig's relationship with the AIS has always been known. Just because there are a few bad apples it doesn't mean that you tarnish all with the same brush.
  10. I see that Blease, Mckenzie, Nicho, Spencer, Strauss have all been named to play for Scorps. Interchange I would like to see is Davey(Sub)McKenzie (for MJones rest) Tappy and I would like Spencer in to relieve Jamar as ruck and Jamar to go forward to rest Gawn etc.
  11. In Australia horse trainers are allowed to use various "medications" whilst they are spelling/out of training. There is a prescribed time where using those medications has to stop prior to racing commencing again. In the UK substances are banned during spelling and obviously through racing time hence the Gondolfin stable in a lot of trouble in the UK. Hopefully if this substance was used by Jack being both a cream and being used out of the season may assist in his defence.
  12. Apparently Robinson apologised for the article. Don't know where I heard this but heard it on the radio - probably SEN. Just by the by and it doesn't mean an awful lot now, but CS told me that Robbo was actually a really nice guy. Pity about his journalistic skills sometimes. I still dont find him as sensationalist as Caro tries to be.
  13. I dont care I still cant stand him bid noting, loud mouth, I built the biggest Club in the land, [censored].
  14. Caro also said that Neil Craig should have answered the journos questions about Bates and that he was hiding behind the enquiry - of course insinuation made. All legal advice would be to say nothing. Hird came out and said he had nothing to do with Danks and then had to change his statement. I am happy for Neeld and Craig to say nothing at the moment. Can't wait for her aticle if Richmond are involved.
  15. Some years ago they used to have a "D" train leave "Southern Cross" Station to go down to Geeeelong. It was the same with flags and red and blue everywhere. Always a great trip down but usually a morose trip home.
  16. If as you state that Neeld has fractured a playing group, then obviously you know which players feel "fractured". If you do have that information why dont you reveal all the names. I would have thought that the last quarter shows he can get the players to lift. Given the previous three weeks that if there was ever a time when they were going to roll over it was the final quarter of Sunday's game. To me it showed a greater strength of character and a deep desire and conviction from the team to not just win but really play out the game. Maybe I am easily pleased. They did play some awful football on Sunday but when the crunch came they were all there together. That game was so important in terms of confidence. Despite their own confidence in the way that they were training the win showed that it could be transferred to game day. Who cares whether it was GWS or Nar Nar Goon North. It didn't matter. What mattered was the lift in the players spirit. I watched them run off with heads held high instead stooped and shattered. These young men needed Sunday as did the supporters. We have been through over twelve months of shite so FFS lets enjoy the moment.
  17. Nate Jones also patted Scully on head - but no mention of that of course.
  18. Also maybe because instead of just caving in they actually found that something that we know is there - determination and guts. Things that we haven't seen too much of late.
