I think it is great that JV had the guts to get up and not be stifled by the thought of being a newbie. But this emotional turmoil must be made into a positive. I firmly believe that the team if allowed will play a different brand of football next week. Up to you Neeld and Assistants to let them play without being restricted by zones etc. My message to the players is - Play man on man even it means you sacrifice your game for the Club. Nate if you are being tagged out of the game tag the tagger or tag another opposition player and tag him out of the game. Do the unexpected. Play with flair, take the game and other opposition players on without fear of retribution from the Coach and his staff. Kick it up the bloody centre for a change. Let loose the old Tappy and let Dunne roost it. Run until you can't run anymore. Protect the player going for the ball. Fear nothing and we will support you.

Shaw like all of us do not really know what the AFL had on the Club. The threat to take the AFL to court was real. He might be right about CFC but we are not in their shoes. I always take critiques from certain ex players from other Clubs with a grain of salt because they have their own agendas. To me Ox's declarations yesterday mean more because he loves the Club and he has no alternative agendas.

Do you consider Gillies, Pedersen depth players because if you do there is no hope. I consider them experienced in the number of games they have played not as in experienced MFC players. Today they showed nothing. Today they were duds.

That is my worry as well. The media will smell blood. We thought we had it bad last year. There will be no balance.

What inexperience - Viney and Toumpas. Well from my seat Viney, inexperienced but Demons BOG and Toumpas inexperienced but certainly at least put in. The other newcomers were all experienced players but unfortunately some were/are duds.

And I bet Rooooosy and those two "MFC supporters" bring up the "tanking" issue as reason why we are so bad.

I would hold fire on Rodan and Byrnes, Pederson a filler-in only but Gillies should never be allowed to play again - absolutely useless no wonder he couldnt get a game at Geelong.

I think the booing today sent a clear message to the Club. I have never heard my team being booed off the ground before. We have always politely clapped them off even after some of the debacles last year. Not anymore. By the looks of the players faces as they went down the race and by the reactions of some of the players in the rooms, they have got the message. We can't take anymore.

Absolute rubbish that tanking has instilled a losing culture in our team. Half the team has been replaced and we have had a new coach for two preseasons. However I do agree that confidence has huge impact on the mindset of a team but with so many new inclusions why is that not one of them could summon any semblance of team spirit and at least finish the game with passion rather the limp wristed effort they showed. My question is that are they so frightened of deviating from the coach's plan that there is no flair left. I would never question Jack Grimes as captain but why not get the team together in a group and stare each one down and ask for a lift before splitting up for the last quarter. I know Jack puts in 100% but I expect more from a captain. I want him to inspire his team to follow his lead. Maybe next week we should just leave it to JV. Hopefully Jack has humbled his team mates by his after game speech.

Can anyone believe the down hill slide of Frawley. I know that he played injured for a lot of last year but today after a good preseason he looked slow and reactionary. Where is the AA Frawley gone. Hopefully Tommy Mcs return will assist.

Can someone please tell me who were the commentators on 3AW. After the game there were comments like "well what you would you expect when a team was coached to lose and now the chickens were coming home to roost" and that the club was a train wreck. Melbourne hating media are going to have a field day sorry week having a shot at us. Unfortunately we probably deserve it but we dont deserve comments like what I heard from the gutless wonders on 3AW. At least SEN commentators from what I heard driving home were trying at least to be constructive.

I remember how we were all wondering what Neil Craig saw in Sellars last year. Well what we saw in the NAB (I know its only the NAB) goes a little way in justifying Craig's confidence in him. Hopefully Pederson will end up showing us what Neeld sees in him. If not he will be out at the year end. IMO, so far Gillies and Pederson have to show us more than what they have to justify keeping them on the list. Hopefully they are just taking a little time to work with a new regime and game plan.

Yes, I thought Watson said "thats Trengove" when Neeld was talking about being able to keep players at a Club. I would love to know what he meant by that. Is Sheedy going to target Jack at the end of the year because there is no way that Buddy will be joining the hillbilly team.

Anyone planning on renewing their membership on Sunday get there early as I think there will be plenty of people out there with the same idea. You wouldn't want to miss the first bounce.
