  1. De La Rue's stoush with CS is old news. I was told last year that he would not return whilst CS was there so I don't think it is the Club's marketing per se but more of his dislike of CS. Hopefully now he will return given the changes that have occurred and will continue under PJ's watchful eye.
  2. Yes, I wonder what the next generation will say when they come across this strange creation of "Demonland" and come across this very lengthy discourse on the benefits of bananas. Will we be able to purchase banana pills from medicare in our old age. A question to ponder. I say forget about finding the ultimate coach let's agitate for free bananas on medicare.
  3. RL, there will be no more bananas or muffins for you as you will have to start to save to pay P.Moody. Best just send him to Brisbane. On the other hand we could take up donations of bananas (over ripe) so Mrs RL could make some of those delicious blueberry and chocolate banana bread for you. You seem so down at the moment that I am sure that will boost the spirit. Maybe that is what Briefed needs - some bananas. Daily I am flabbergasted how nice everyone is to each other on this thread. It is like being on another planet. Tips and recipes - what more could any supporter ask for. I bet they don't get this over at the Filth.
  4. Glad he is gone. He should have just kept his trap shut.
  5. Alotta, you and others have had agendas. Yours and their views are not "prevailing orthodoxy" as you so conveniently label. So puuurrrlease.
  6. Mr. Leg just thought I would let you know that our trainer doesn't like synthetic track. Wont run our gigi there. So obviously don't blame Anluan, it was the track!!!. Please tell me why did they even allow the races to run on a 9. They should give out flippers. It would be like running on banana skins.
  7. Talking of wretched things eaten, whilst working in Taiwan I was offered a cooked sea slug. Never forget it. Disgusting. Sorry wandered off fried cockroaches, cooked fruit bats and chilli pineapple.
  8. Mr Leg how is Briefed's hammy Sounds a bit suss, Yossarian. Impigeonator
  9. Great photos Rusty. You have obviously missed your true vocation. Any chance of emailing a copy?
  10. Come on Rusty. I am dying to see the photo of Demon Dog on the site. Maybe he could become the new mascot for Demonland.
  11. We could kill two birds with one stone because our illustrious leader could also be called upon to defend our members - maybe not. Though he could be called upon to defend Co$$$$$$$od members! Could we join up the Alpacas under the pet membership. That would surely boost membership numbers.
  12. You will get my vote Mr.Leg especially as we will get a weekly updated banana recipe and racing tips which will boost our Club's coffers. May I suggest you nominate bbo as "Vice". Job description would seem to suit him very well (going by avatar). RL for Pres
  13. Jack said that his shoulder feels like that there is nothing wrong but he cant wait to get back into contact training which should be in about a week. He again reiterated how much the players are amazed at the success of the volunteers phoning up previous members. Jack spoke of the possibility of a player coming in next year each week to support the volunteers. Jade Rawlings said that the playing group were really upbeat and that there was something extra there today - must be that we are playing Co$$$$$$$od. (OK mjt etc - I will get in before you they should be like this each week). I agree with WW Jack W would have to be one of the nicest most accessible players at the Club. There was a lot of talk amongst the players during training. I would like to see more of that transferred to game day. Run and carry was fantastic but again OK to carry it out at training we need it when the other side are trying to kill you (as someone said today) Great to meet up with fellow positive Demonlanders (yes, there are some). RL see you next in the mounting yard!! All in all a good day. Disappointing turnout compared to the last time but still much appreciated by the players. Demon Dog wore his demon jumper albeit a little tight around the girth. He was a great hit with the players and had many photos taken. Obviously impressed by his physique!
  14. Sorry you cant be there but thanks for your good thoughts. Good luck with the run through. Cant wait to see it on Monday.
  15. I am not against healthy debate amongst supporters but what I am against are so called journalists taking cheap shots at the Club when it is down and almost out. None of these people care if we fold or not. They are only interested in what they hope to be seen as relevant. Taking pot shots at the Club might be fun for them but it makes the job of the Club harder. I have never in any post said that I agreed with how the Club has been administered. I hold out hope that with PJ we have an experienced CEO and that a recharged Board (with some new and former Board members)will be installed at the end of the season. I see no use of supporters ringing in radio stations and slagging off the Club and its players and reinforcing some of the tripe that is broadcast as special comments. I am just as frustrated, angry and disillusioned as WYL, Gorgorath, mjt etc etc. I will however, be as proud and passionate for as long as the Club or I exist.
  16. Thanks as always KC. Noticed that Davis was in the bests. Any chance of a call up?
  17. Club has just tweeted out to the members of tomorrow's open session. Hopefully the hoards will be there. Demon Dog is ready with his jumper! His favourite player - Dunne
  18. I am not asking for sympathy. I am asking for balance.
  19. K--b King made a categorical statement this morning on SEN that Sylvia, Frawley and Watts will not be playing at Melbourne next year and that other clubs were already circling to take them.I am now so sick and tired of hearing outlandish and inflammatory statements made by so called "experts" that I believe that the AFL needs to step in and make a statement supporting the steps that the Club/P Jackson are taking. These type of statements not only exacerbate the loser mentality that pervades opposition supporters about our Club but also MFC supporters are also listening to this type of rubbish. I am tired of hearing radio stations having competitions like "the best left field candidate for President of the MFC". This is not a joke. They are talking about a multi million dollar business, of peoples livelihoods and tens of thousands of peoples passion. I was angry that both David Schwarz and Dr. Turf found it humorous. There wasn't even a sense of uneasiness from either. Is this what we have become. The butt of every radio stations jokes. An easy road kill.
  20. Haven't yet seen the tweet from the Club re tomorrows open session so we need to gather any Demon supporters out there (there must still be a few) and get down and support the players at Gosch's Paddock. Leave any antipathy towards the Board etc at home and come and watch the boys train. Our presence does encourage the players.
  21. Fantastic post Ferdie. If you can, get down tomorrow to training. Bring that passion down with you and inspire the boys. You have inspired me and would seem others here on negativityland.
  22. Thanks WJ. It is interesting when hearing from those who are actually working in the FD that there is a determination and belief in what they trying to do. I certainly came away far more positive about the long term future as long as the Club can work it's way through relentless hounding of the Club. I did however notice that you didn't quite answer my question.
