  1. Some of them weren't so odd. If he could kick he would be a Brad Sewell type and a gun. Sadly he plays at Melbourne and couldn't hit a target if his life depended on it.
  2. MItch Clark would be the best kick on our list.
  3. Why would you bother tagging him now? Threw the toys out of the pram a couple of years ago. Other clubs have a serious laugh at our club. First MacDonald, then Bruce,, then Green, then Davey then Moloney. Why would you want to win a B&F at Melbourne??? Let's hope nathan Jones is not on the 'delist' threads at the end of this year...
  4. Yep. With ya bruvver. Cue - 'oh but he has been injured', 'Just wait til Col gets a full pre-season' 'he's the most talented player on our list'
  5. Please do not be true. OMG how can we keep doing the same thing over again....
  6. Gee 73 gifted games isn't enough to base an opinion on? What is fair 300? FFS. He would be well out of here if he wasn't in contract. As for the injury stuff. Just stop being silly. Hurt his pinky last year in the pre-season and your saying this has upset his career? I'd say his inability to win his own contested ball or play defensive football would have a bigger bearing. Watch him more closely and you'll be surprised how little work he does when we don't have the ball
  7. My mum always said of you can't say anything nice about someone don't say anything at all. I didn't listen to my Mum to often. I am over Cale. DOesn't try hard enough. Has no appetite for a contest. His defensive skills are atrocious. His kicking skills are deplorable. Apparently has endurance but what's the point if you don't use it to damage the opposition? My guess is he is only being persevered with because he is on contract for 2013. What genius did that?
  8. He will fill the gaping hole in our forward line left by Maric.
  9. What's funny is he announced it back in May - at least his manager did. What a dud manager
  10. Correct. The Saints responded within 4 hours saying they wouldn't match it.
  11. Those figs are probably not far off the mark. Ball's was public as he nominated for the draft but only signed for two years. He will be on a lower amount from 2013 onwards you would imagine.
  12. I want to be but to paraphrase Einstein if we do the same thing we have always done we will get the same result...
  13. I know.. I did read it but of course our FAILURE to secure a decent pick 4 is at the forefront of my thinking, Why does anyone think we would get it right this time?? Because BP is not here?? Cale gives me nightmares.
  14. What is this post about?? He is out of contract currently. Fairly self evident if they employ him they will pay his wages...
  15. So DemonChris, you have 11 posts. One makes an unsubstantiated statement about Rivers one makes an unsubstantiated claim about Frawley. Are you simply trolling? Or just prone to boredom?
  16. You need to get out more often,......
  17. Cos our mids did so stunningly well this year (and last year and the year before that.....) Our midfield is our weakest link by so far it isn't funny. Unless we fix it pronto we all be rooned.
  18. Brock is the one out of contract....
  19. HIs manager is a moron.
  20. Much has been made of Lucas Cook (196cm/81kg) and Jack Watts (196/91) light frames. But it doesn't seem to have stopped plenty of others with light builds from doing well. From yesterday Gunston 193/81 Suckling 187/82 Stratton 189/82 Schoenmakers 193/86 Shiels 183/80 Savage 185/80 Young 187/87 Smith 188/77 Bruest 184/76 A Johnson 193/84 That to me seems like a lot of light frames. Seems to me you can't have all lighter bodies without some big ones around to take the main heat. Hence Neeld is looking for someone to add to Mitch Clark. But it doesn't explain why Cook can't crack a game in the Casey 1sts. Is he simply no good??
  21. Are you serious?? Who says he has improved?? He only played the last two games of the year and managed to jag a few finals. Hardly a player that has improved at the Swans. Right time and got lucky might be better,
  22. Alex Johnson, Nick Smith, McGlynn, Craig Bird, Heath Grundy, Pyke, Parker, Morton, Reid, Richards, Mattner, Shaw are either young players or 'average' players mostly form other clubs. What they do though is play a role really well. One soldier falls another fills the spot. They know what to do and when. The players trust one another and they play as a team. They are a great team in fact. Full of admiration, We could learn so much from them. They also have a number of gun players and that makes a huge difference. We don't have the guns or the culture.
  23. Our problem has been for a long time we have had NO LEADERS. Junior was OK but kind of alone in the role. Bruce was useless as a leader, Green couldn't take the players with him. Beemer and Davey are pretty useless leaders as well. You can't develop young players without leaders. Neeld has had to go young for his captains for exactly this reason. Its about developing an elite culture and it takes years. Interesting reading about the Swans culture being started in large part by Andrew Schauble and carried on by Kirk etc. One of the reasons why the Swans have drafted so many Old Xav players.. Schauble last played in , what, 2005??
