  1. Depends who sued first........
  2. No-one sprints 3km in a real match. It's a stop start game. So in one sense the times are meaningless. But the times are a personal barometer for their fitness levels and this is much more important.
  3. So the Bombers appear to have settled all their legal claims with their players in relation to the doping programme with cash payments. I assume this will them be included in the salary cap. Because if it isn't included it will open up a Pandora's Box. Players will sue clubs left, right and centre and then 'settle' the claim with an out of court payment in order to subvert the salary cap. Much like a certain prime minister that repeatedly sued Murdoch and Packer and settled the claims. The Murdoch tennis court and the Packer swimming pool were paid for by settled defamation claims against newspapers. Just like Joh Bjelke settling his claim against Alan Bond for $800k.......
  4. Fair enough. If he learns a lesson that is only a good thing.
  5. Plenty of it in the 9 pages so far. I'm sure you have never exceeded the speed limit by 1km/hr as well HT....
  6. Another baffling outcome: How could any of the EFC 34 look at Dank and seriously think this guy was an expert in cutting edge pharmaceuticals? Or anything for that matter. If he came near me with a BS explanation about calves blood and high performance and a needle I would run a mile. They deserve everything they have received in penalties on that alone.
  7. the outrage country is alive and well.....
  8. OMG please don't speak of Newton. You'll set one particular unhinged poster off..........
  9. You guys really need to lighten up. Its not a hanging offence FFS.
  10. That's how it was reported. Not sure that is what really happened
  11. Parish wil be good but lots can do what Parish can do. Very few can do what Oliver can do.
  12. If you had to choose today between Oliver and Parish you would take Oliver all day every day. He is a clearance machine.
  13. Why must we wear white? Why not all red with a blue v?
  14. Sanctimonious comment. Probably too old to remember what it was like as a teenager Beelze...
  15. Your first sentence doesn't make sense and unfairly tarninshes Watson. He was asked whether he had an opinion about whether the runners up should get the medal and he said "no I don't". Nothing untoward at all in that. He clearly doesn't want to enter the argument. And fair enough.
  16. "Jobe Watson has decided to hand back hs brownlow medal". Like he is some kind of hero. Yet again the spineless administrators of our great game squib on a decision. Its not Jobes to give back and it has gone on way too long. Not too often I feel sorry for Mitchell and Cotchin but they rightfully deserve their moment in the sun for winning the medal. As well as the financial rewards that go with it. Would like to see them sue for lost earnings over the period.
  17. We didnt get sold anything. We recruited two ex-premiership players. We knew their worth, we knew what they were capable of, we knew everything about them. We live with our choices. It's not the players fault (so long as they gave or give their all).
  18. Political orthodoxy got thrown in its head. Oh, and there is a cricket test on somewhere..
  19. Dont know why Fyffe is pencilled in at the Hawks. If he had any sense he would come to the Dees and win a flag....
  20. Havent we been travelling up to Maroochydore in past years for 7-10 days for training? It gives players a break from the monotony of Gosch's paddock, has reliable nice weather and offers a fan experience for Southern Qld fans....
  21. Part of the reason was to stop a flood of players leaving.
  22. This is so misguided. No coach wants to see the ball run out of defence and turned straight over. And LJ winning the Norm Smith is irrelevant yet you are saying it doesn't matter if a player turns the ball over, so long as he runs and creates some disruption? All because he might win a subjective award? OMG
  23. Teams know that if you tackle melbourne and put pressure n the ball carrier they will turn it over. It's been that way for some time but was clearly the strategy for a bunch of teams including St Kilda, Essendon, Geelong etc Composure, decision making and being able to absorb pressure is the next step for our team.
  24. Jobe has already held it illegally for 4 years. The rightful winners, Cotchin and Mitchell have been deprived of their glory and potential earnings. I hope they sue the pants off the AFL
