I'm not sure pace is his problem, I see it as turning the ball over too often....If he tidied that up he would be an absolute gun.
-
Didn't he damage his knee in last years 'boot camp'? That might mean he has a good run at it this year will a full preseason....
-
Thanks for the update on your eligibility requirements......
-
Our Shane Crawford maybe? Hope we don't have to wait 4 seasons to lift the cup though...
-
Yeah you do ...

I think Maynard will be an instant hit for us but if we are to really improve its the likes of Brayshaw, Salem and Weideman that need to turn it on.

An interesting listen of an outsider's perspective of our list

Ha ha good pick up! I mean that everyone has a much more even chance to win a flag - in the past the top 4 won the bulk of the flags....but you knew that -

True but.... the rules of the game have changed. I don't think this has been factored in enough. Teams have an extra week off before finals. This means a whole bunch of things including getting players refreshed or back from injury etc. Important when you are struggling desperately to make finals. The Toiges and Dogs had the best Septembers. The Toiges defence conceded 5, 8 and 9 goals in finals. Quite extraordinary. There was alot of focus on their forwards but the defence for me won it. I thin what it means now is that making the finals gives everyone a much better chance of winning a flag. It's why I was so dirty on missing the finals. You just never know. Particularly in such an even year. -
We have had some of the best pointers in the game....Moloney could point at a player running away magnificently. Kent isn't a bad pointer either....

Is that why he wasn't picked for pre-season games? Oh I see what you're doing.....

If you think the Geelong players have moved on you'd be kidding. Round 1 our boys will cop an earful about the 'boot camp'. Especially if we get belted - 'too hard for you Dees?'

Melbourne player investigated over alleged assault whilst overseas
jnrmac replied to Steno's topic in Melbourne Demons
There's a serious amount of wankery I this thread. How about everyone gets off their high horse and stop mindless speculation and stop demanding action from anyone about an unknown incident that may or may not have any semblance of truth to it. -

Not in this day and age there isn't. Ask Geoffrey Rush. -

Wow. Touching someone on the arm could be classed sexual assault. Making a poor taste joke the same. Don't want any of thse scum playing for the Dees. -
Even if the players did approach the AFLPA - and there is no evidence they did it before going to the club - this in itself is not unusual. Maybe they were seeking information about what other clubs were doing, what was the norm, what their responsibilities were for things that are outside their playing contract or what would happen if they were injured and unable to play? The point is we don't know and it just doesn't make sense to listen to media speculation on it. And in the spirit of Christmas, compliments of the season to you Ron.

Dimitris Avramopoulos is European commissioner for migration and citizenship. His latest speech: "It’s time to face the truth. We cannot and will never be able to stop migration" "Migration is deeply intertwined with our policies on economics, trade, education and employment" "Europe is dying. "In the next two decades, more than 70 million migrants will be needed." The EU are bunch of unelected bureaucrats that have no mandate form anyone to conduct this mass scale migration from Africa and the middle east. At least now they are starting to be honest about their intentions. Up until now it has been conducted covertly. And the only Euopean nations kicking up a fuss? The Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria and Poland - countries that know a thing or two about totalitarian regimes like the EU. If you import the thirld world you will become the third world.

1. You have no evidence of this - it is pure speculation 2. This is garbage. Watts was given the clear message that he would be best finding another club. 3. Another garbage point with no basis at all in fact. You seem to confuse what comes out in the media as what happens at the coal face of the club. The club under Peter Jackson has very clear guidelines on how to manage player commmunication. Just because some some flea in the media or on social media makes a claim or a statement doesn't make it true. There are 1700 accredited AFL media. They are trying to earn a living and are scrapping for stories. They are largely irrelevant and i would prefer my club to manage players rather than focusing on external commentary.

Frawey has had mental health issues - does he think it weak if a player sought advice from the AFLPA about how to approach his club about a mental health issue? His hypocrisy is breathtaking.

We know he is a developing player. He can be very frustrating to watch and that its part and parcel of developing players. But I see mostly what STMJ sees. A player that doesn't have any special attributes and doesn't do anything particularly well. He is largely in for his height IMO and I maintain that if we had alternatives he would be learning his craft at Casey, not in the senior team. And you can't deny (although some will try (hi Binman)) that we were 18th for one on one contests in our defensive 50 and 18th for opposition scores from defensive 50 entries. When Nev and Hibberd are AA defenders that doesn't leave too many others to point the finger at. Others think he will make it, I don't. But I barrack for the Dees and I hope he does. It would be a great story and I would be glad to eat humble pie. -
Don't like this at all. 3 people deliberating on the tribunal doesn't inherently lead to inconsistency. If any of the three can make a decision then I could see how that leads to onconsistency but I assume they reach agreement on penalties or otherwise.
