  1. "This is what we do up in Albury to blokes that have man buns!"
  2. Fritsch is too old by 3 weeks. Must be under 21 on 1 January of the year.
  3. Dion J congratulating Spargo was good. Hopefully he gets a rocket that Spargs got a game before him.....
  4. Age is a bulldust excuse except for maybe tiring late in the season.
  5. This is overated. The Kennel was a mess: lost their coach, captain, CEO and a few others in a short space of time. No one wanted to be there. Beveridge turned it around very quickly but the reality is they made the finals and had a fantastic September. Have been ordinary since then. This talk of 'McCartney being the genius behind the dog's flag' is rubbish. Yes he takes credit for developing some of their junior players but he was not liked down there and couldn't get them winning regularly. The raps on him at Melbourne have been good but maybe there is some friction there with Goody seeing him interfering beyond his role. Or maybe things were simply working better when McC was on the bench. Who knows? But what I do know is I hate seeing our name in the press for this stuff. It reeks of disharmony and when added to the pre-season camp stuff, that should NEVER have gone outside and should have been handled in-house, it worries me that things aren't rosy. Then when you see clear disfunction on the field it starts to smell more....
  6. Yes lets wait for Saty.... oh hang on...
  7. Oscar came equal 18th in the B&F with Pederson and played 5 more games. The talk on here about Oscar improving out of sight and being our key defender is hilarious. He has played OK this year and hasn't disgraced himself at all but he is still a deer in the headlights, has little or no physical presence or awareness, cannot compete one on one, is slow with the turning circle of the titanic and rarely impacts a contest. His disposal is pretty good and that is about his best trait. Yes he is developing and that is great. As a melbourne supporter I want him to succeed but it will be a long slow process at this rate.
  8. You misunderstand what STMJ said. He said there is a reason some players draw ire from supporters. It doesn't come from thin air. Are you seriously trying to compare Lever with Oscar because they are the same age? I have heard everything. And BTW , Watts was well over 22, so was Jamie Bennell when he was a whipping boy as you call it.
  9. This drug has been in use for years. I can't recall exactly but it was something like women's issues in the uterus. This is simply a use they have discovered like - oh, it takes away hip and knee pain as well? Great let's try it on athletes. Hardly dangerous stuff. It would be like saying Aspirin is great for headaches but we just discovered it increases blood flow to the achilles tendon. Nothing to see here.
  10. A perfect cheat would never get caught..... just sayin....
  11. They loved Warnie forever and he was done twice was he not? Blows your argument out of the water.
  12. $cully was an ordinary pick. He is small and chip kicks everywhere. He has great endurance which has come back into favour given the restrictions on interchange but oterwise he was an ordinary number 1 pick. If we were picking today with our current recruiting team between Oliver, Wines and $cully, $cully would be a distant third
  13. Breaking News: Company acts in its commercial interests. Stop the presses. Burnside is a horrible human being.
  14. I guess if there is a difference in the way that parties were treated they could sue to recover lost wages, fines, reputation etc?
  15. It's all coming from Hird as I understand it.......
  16. Fishing expedition to see what evidence they can find of the AFL / ASADA conspiring to do a deal over the EFC.
  17. Correct on point 1. The bitterness stems from the deal which was agreed between EFC, AFL and Fed Govt and for which they received a draft letter from Gillard. This was rescinded or not proceeded with when Hird heard about the Cronulla deal and wanted similar. Hird was then 'thrown under a bus' according to himself and has been eternally bitter.
  18. No Vlad called David Evans because he had ample evidence and tip offs about what they were doing.
  19. Not at all this is a simple foi request. You ask for the broadest possible info to see what turns up. It's a fishing expedition. If anything they will try to relate that to how the EFC were treated.
  20. He was a partner/shareholder but I understand when he left he sold out of his shareholding.
  21. I can't for the life of me entertain the notion of James "drug cheat" Hird coming to our club. He was the architect of the program. The membership will go nuts. And besides there is no evidence he is any good. My mail is that he was very much disliked at his previous employer and they were very happy to see him gone.
  22. No. It just wasn't. Ethan is on the money. The stock market didn't technically crash. It did fall but well and truly after debt markets blew up. Your simplistic statement that the GFC was caused by share prices not being supported by profits is pure nonsense. Sorry.
