  1. We are beyond superstition as a club. Our brutal style of play is for real. Do what you want with the hat.
  2. Ablett is now soft as butter. No CPs in the first half. Avoided all contact and sat out the back getting cheap handballs or ran fwd of the ball looking for a chip kick. The Holy Trinity BS has failed.
  3. He was on the bench for around 16mins at the start of the 3rd qtr from memory. They were saying on MMM that he was itching to get back on but because of the lack of goals and where the ball was being played they couldn't get a rotation ....Seems to have worked out OK....

    Like Tom Lynch..........
  5. His kick to Melksham for a goal was superb and penetrating
  6. I look fwd to the near future when top players want to come to Melbourne for no penalty
  7. Your categorisation is clearly wrong. We didn't fall in. But back on topic, what struggling clubs need is not raw talent but senior bodies. Maybe the compo is a draft pick and the ability to draft say, a Luke Hodge, outside the salary cap...
  8. Who are you again? When did we entertain trading Weideman? (If you are going to troll best to get the spelling right)
  9. I think you'll find they beat us and Collingwood at the G...
  10. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. He was recounting how in his first final last year he was "packing his dacks". He said that Melbourne players would be feeling nervous and he is right. But I think that will go away quite quickly.
  11. interestingly the message seems to have evolved over the season. From not worrying about what has gone on before it, we cant change the past, to writing our own narrative to embracing our successful past. I guess as the team knocks over various hoodoos and unwanted records it is finally safe to embrace the successful past. He certainly comes across as measured (which frustrated me earlier in the season) and I get the feeling the players won't be overawed by their first final. The process, each contest and supporting/trusting your team mates mantra has been well drilled into them. I'm excited for Friday.
  12. Geelong are 16th for centre clearances. Its their defensive rebound where they will be confident of winning it. That's why our last two weeks have been so important. Hitting up targets i50 AND stopping run from defence. 19 fwd marks against WC.

There you go being angry again....
  15. Just pure garbage sorry.
  16. Seems to have clear instructions to run to the front of the pack.

The players got the result they wanted? You might be happy with that but it spelled 'issues' for me. What are the leaders of the club there for if not to deal with this sort of thing? It's like Gysberts refusing to run a 3km time trial because its too hot....
  18. In round 1 they had 24 entries for 20 shots on goal in the first half. They scored 80pts. The second time we played them they scored 8 goals to 3/4 time and 8 goals in the last to win. The past two weeks we have played much better offensively by hit up passes (19 fwd half marks against WC) and much better defensively like we have the past two weeks. We play like the past two weeks and we win.

The players went behind the leaders' backs and behind the coaches backs and went to the AFLPA. That is the only issue.
  20. Very happy for the kids first final. Dad happier Good luck to everyone else trying to get in. Ticketek is a shambles...
  21. I got through around 11:50, hung around in the queue and refreshed until 12:00. Pretty quick once in. 8 seats in MCC done. Couldnt pick seats like normally. Automatically allocated.
  22. Geelong are 16th in centre clearances. So much for the 'holy trinity'.

He and Brayshaw are the 2 most improved by a long way....
