  1. That's nice but its not a sound basis for drafting. Plenty of clubs have been down this path, thinking they are close to a flag and botching it with some mature age players. Port may do well but they have drafted two very inconsistent players in Watts and Motlop. Rockliff is a workhorse, meat and potatoes kind of player but not particularly damaging. They had a pretty good run in 2018 with injuries and maybe have over-estimated where they are as a list. Will be watched with interest in 2018.
  2. Nah we're not. We always overate our list. We barely have 2 players in most independent top 50 lists...
  3. Haven't really thought about it but I imagine that Vince and Lewis would be at the top of the list given their age, possibly Jones whose output has been prolific but his body taken a beating in the past few years. I could also imagine Oliver performing lower than last year's stellar performance as he gets tagged more often. Similarly with Hunt given the oppositions focus on him in the second half of the season and his lower output as a result. We might have also seen the best of Vanders - think it would be hard for him to improve given his age and injury history. I know some here love OMac but I haven't seen much that says to me he'll be an 'A' grade player as P-Man above suggests and in fact could well see him stagnate or go backwards as the overall team improves. His average votes of 2.5 out of 10 from the coaches in 2017 games suggests to me he isn't tracking as some here seem to think. No doubt some will surprise on the upside and the downside. I just don't believe we will take 2017 as the baseline and everyone automatically stays the same or gets better.
  4. What about players whose form will slide? The above assumes everyone will stay the same or get better. That just doesn't happen....
  5. Good news for Jack. ripping bloke, I wish him well.
  6. BTW Bugg is underated on here. Is a leading 3km time triallist with TMac, he has got talent that is arguably mis-directed at the moment. Gets to the ball and had he kicked 15 g 6b instead of 6g 15b from his 10 games we would be talking about him differently.
  7. Potential schmentzel All that matters is that we have 38 players who are driven to get the best out of themselves. Jonesey, TMac, Viney are driven to win. While all players aren't the same, everyone needs to be on the same page when t comes to commitment to win. That's why you-know-who isn't here anymore.
  8. Carlton have 4 number 1 draft picks in their side. They don't appear to be doing too well to me,
  9. Leigh Mathews says the Crows should have asked for pick 1
  10. But there's a nasal spray for that apparently......
  11. Except Treloar is a garden variety mid. Look at key position trades I would suggest.
  12. Its all factored in...
  13. Well... Tom Boyd was $1m a year Buddy was a big 10y deal. Thats for a start. Wait till Tom Lynch says hes leaving GC then you'll see how desperate clubs are to secure a key fwd...
  14. Richmond gave up someting like 5 goals, 9 goals and 8 goals in their 3 finals. Anyone that thinks defence isn't that important is dreaming. We were 18th in defensive one on ones, and 18th in scores from opposition entries into our fwd 50. Lever bolsters our defence and gives us options. Great news for melbourne.
  15. Thats a Broad accusation to make....
  16. Yep its a given 2011 Rory Taggert, Josh Tynan, James Sellarm Jai Sheehan, Tom Couch, James Magner, Leigh Williams. 2010 Lucas Cook, Troy Davis, Daniel Nicholson, MIchael Evans, Kelvin Lawrence, Robert Cambell, Tom Macnamara, Tom McDonald, Jeremy Howe, Jordie McKenzie, Jake Spencer We nailed those two drafts. Set us up for failure....
  17. I thought he was about buses, you know ...the reality ones

  19. Credibility just went from below average to zero.
  20. I don't believe that is right at all. He was injured a lot - that might explain his lack of games.
  21. You don't have to wonder.....
  22. Interesting that we are apprently interested in J Trengrove from Port. Not sure if this is as a back up for the Lever plan or additional to. If true it adds weight to the argument that we have a problem in defence that the club wants to fix. We'll see at the end of trade period I guess....
  23. Is this a riddle? Its that time of year....
  24. So he's on a par with Oscar according to some here....Straight swap anyone?
