  1. You just did it. Do you feel better telling the world what a virtuous person you are? And not only back-handing everyone that has a different opinion to you? Are you seeking pats on the back from this community? Why don't you just do it rather than telling the world (or in this case Demonland) what a wonderful person you are....
  2. So if this is right, we free up some capital for a new home (long overdue) and we get a reputational boost along the way by being good corporate citizens....
  3. My point is its easy to say 'let's not take pokie revenue' but its much harder to find something to replace it that doesn't take a huge amount of funding, management time or acts as a distraction. Richmond seem to have found one idea above but its pretty small beer.....
  4. https://alignedleisure.com.au/ This is a Richmond non-gaming initiative that delivered $$ for them..... Richmond have struck a lucrative deal to manage a string of leisure centres on Melbourne's south-east fringe, transforming the club's business plan and making it one of the most diversified in the AFL. The deal, which will see the Tigers take the management rights of eight leisure centres in the Cardinia Shire for up to nine years, will add about 15 per cent revenue to Richmond's finances or about $5 million annually via a wholly owned subsidiary, Aligned Leisure.
  5. Look fwd to your realistic list of businesses for the club to be involved in, It's not that easy you know....
  6. PLs fwd your ideas to Peter Jackson.....
  7. $cully was an ordinary pick. He is small and chip kicks everywhere. He has great endurance which has come back into favour given the restrictions on interchange but oterwise he was an ordinary number 1 pick. If we were picking today with our current recruiting team between Oliver, Wines and $cully, $cully would be a distant third
  8. Breaking News: Company acts in its commercial interests. Stop the presses. Burnside is a horrible human being.
  9. I guess if there is a difference in the way that parties were treated they could sue to recover lost wages, fines, reputation etc?
  10. It's all coming from Hird as I understand it.......
  11. Fishing expedition to see what evidence they can find of the AFL / ASADA conspiring to do a deal over the EFC.
  12. Correct on point 1. The bitterness stems from the deal which was agreed between EFC, AFL and Fed Govt and for which they received a draft letter from Gillard. This was rescinded or not proceeded with when Hird heard about the Cronulla deal and wanted similar. Hird was then 'thrown under a bus' according to himself and has been eternally bitter.
  13. No Vlad called David Evans because he had ample evidence and tip offs about what they were doing.
  14. Not at all this is a simple foi request. You ask for the broadest possible info to see what turns up. It's a fishing expedition. If anything they will try to relate that to how the EFC were treated.
  15. F*** The MFCSS is alive and well.
  16. He was a partner/shareholder but I understand when he left he sold out of his shareholding.
  17. I can't for the life of me entertain the notion of James "drug cheat" Hird coming to our club. He was the architect of the program. The membership will go nuts. And besides there is no evidence he is any good. My mail is that he was very much disliked at his previous employer and they were very happy to see him gone.
  18. No. It just wasn't. Ethan is on the money. The stock market didn't technically crash. It did fall but well and truly after debt markets blew up. Your simplistic statement that the GFC was caused by share prices not being supported by profits is pure nonsense. Sorry.
  19. err no it was't. Not even close. Back to school for you....
  20. And we chose Jurrah as a rookie ahead of Rockliff who we had 'promised' a spot to...... Man, we stuffed up some recruiting......
  21. Rattan complained to the AFL.........
  22. Yep. In the Bluey Oscar averaged 2.5 votes out of 10 in the games he played last year. They know exactly where Oscar is at.
