if nothing of worth eventuates over the next few days, the last thing i would want to see is us trading these picks away for less than their true worth. Roos has already stated that we need to see success and soon, so it wouldn't surprise me if we panic at the trade table and trade our valuable picks away for some player's less than worthy of these selections.

Jack Watts has played 0 "great" games for the MFC. In his 6 years at the club, that is astonishing. Those crying wolf over him being traded clearly have an unwarranted man crush on him. The fact of the matter is, he is simply just not that good of an AFL player, regardless of the fact he was a previous #1 pick. Some people will argue that he has great skills and good decision making, but he simply doesn't get enough of the ball. This is his major problem, and his biggest deficiency as a player. He is soft. He is nowhere near physical or aggressive enough and he doesn't want to be. He will never be a good player. He will be lucky enough to turn into an average player.

How important is the resurgence of Trengove?
Demon Disciple replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
And there goes our productive trade week. Feel sorry for Trenners, not his fault. -
Agree SD. If Richmond want Trengove + 23, then we should ask minimum for picks 12 + 33 33 would get easily us Frost (plus more?) and MC will get us HL

I agree we have our McCartin type in Hogan (only better.........................still yet to play a game though, so no pressure), if Roos was hoping to develop a forward line with Dawes as lead-up CHF, Hogan big bustling FF, and Clark as rotating ruck/forward, he won't get a better chance to replicate it again by bringing in Wright. But Roos doesn't seem to like bringing in talls with early picks (so he says, but who really knows). I'm not too concerned though, whichever way Roos goes, i'm comfortable with it.

With Patton going down with another knee, Boyd will be almost impossible to shake loose.

Sydney Swans banned from trading players in ...
Demon Disciple replied to JTR's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sydney were/are just playing by the rules the AFL created, now they are being punished for playing the game too well??? Just doesn't make sense. Sure it might even up the competition a little more, but it's a sheet message the AFL is sending the competition. Farcical decision IMO, may benefit the rest of the league, but it still makes it no less farcical. The Hawks have brought in just as many trades and FA recently (with less TPP's too), why aren't they being told the same thing? -
If that is a serious offer by them then they are deluded, to say the least. Cooney + pick 5 for pick 2 + 3. LOL. Cooney has just about had it. If they offered Cooney + pick 5 (now 6) for only one of our picks, well then that makes a little more sense (i'd still laugh at it), the fact that they have asked for both picks is farcical

Seeing how Fitzpatrick also has diabetes, i'd say we would be able to appropriately look after it, having had experience with it in the past.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
Demon Disciple replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pies aren't much better. -
Really hope that Ryder leaves under the approved avenue advocated by the players' association. Essendon demanding like they are owed something for Ryder. To hell with that, they could have potentially caused serious health consequences to both himself and his newborn child and they continue to refuse to accept total responsibility and all the consequences deserved of that. Port should tell the bombers to get faarked, we'll take Ryder via the free agency clause that Essendon's malpractice has allowed them to do. Stick it up those arrogant pr!ck$.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
Demon Disciple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Does anyone know why Petracca pulled out of the 3km time trial with a lap to go? -
I'd definitely pick him up with a 3rd rounder or later (might be gone by then). He reminds me of a Jack Russell. Tiny, quick, full of energy, fearless.

yes only nice boys allowed at our club
