  1. If we select Weideman, he should be made to change his name by deed-poll to Weidemon
  2. His signature was all the more vital given Roos is stepping down as coach at the end of this coming year, as highlighted by Bartlett, "This is a good day for the club. We got on the front foot. With 'Roosy' doing the (coaching) handover next year I just thought it was important to have that stability".
  3. PJ re-commits. Wonderful Melbourne CEO Peter Jackson recommits to Demons
  4. Does anyone know how Schache went with his testing? Would be good to compare the 2, although Scache's kicking is well above Weidemans.
  5. beep tests and sprint times mean very little to me. As i recall, Watts had a very impressive 20m sprint time (doesn't show on the footy field).
  6. I'd rather have weideman and Oliver, as opposed to Parish and Curnow.
  7. Anyone heard how he tested today and what he was tested in?
  8. I don't know which would have me more pleased, a Parish/Curnow double or a Weideman/Oliver double. As a pure forward i'd have Weideman over Curnow, as Weideman is physical and more of a natural FF (allowing Hogan to roam as he pleases as CHF). As a pure mid, i'd have Oliver just about= to Parish. I'd say Parish has better skill, versatility and more runs on the board, but Oliver is a physical beast with a thirst for contact.
  9. He can bat both left and right handed. He can part the seas, stop time, walk on water...........he can do it all!
  10. Would Port be able to tell if we drafted this Ollie and secretly swapped him with their Ollie in the middle of the night?
  11. If Gawn plays every game next year the way he did against the Cats, he'll win the Brownlow, let alone AA honours.
  12. Hogan. 2015 was just the entree...............
  13. Lets just hope, if he were to come to us, that such level of talent has not been compromised through his injuries this year
  14. If we were to go Weideman with our first pick, assuming Parish is gone by pick 7, i'd be hoping that Oliver was still there. Would rather Oliver over Mathieson, as he appears to be so much more damaging and explosive.
  15. Ok, i get that you seem to be a fan, but it's clearly reaching is we were to select middymalt @ 3. I have him going mid-late teens.
  16. The thing that kept coming out during JT's interview was that we will pick based on best available. Now how the recruiting team interprets that i haven't the slightest. I take it to mean the best player (funny that). If that's the case, i would of thought that Parish will be chosen at 3 with pick 7 coming from the likes of Curnow, Weideman, Francis, possibly even Oliver, but not McKay.
  17. yes the MFC gets 'first rights' should he not get picked up this draft year, and if he elects to nominate for f/s bidding next year.
  18. The only reason he was cut was because both of Jones and Terlich had a year to run on their contracts. Hopefully he'll be back on the senior list soon, better than ever. Get Nev Jetta into his ear.
  19. I was the 2nd gunman on the grassy knoll. I also happen to be the Lindbergh baby.
  20. The problem that most supporters have with Jack Watts is that he has never played a 'great' game of football in his entire career. His best efforts would be considered 'good' at best. He still has a role to play, for sure, as his disposal and decision-making is still up near the best at the club.
  21. If i recall, Nick Rippon was the bloke many on demonland wanted to recruit from St. Pats back in 2012. He won the VFL B&F this year and might be worthwhile having a look at.
  22. I'm pretty sure JM said in an mfc.com.au article that we were unlikely to add any DFA this year.
  23. It's like a broken clock being right twice a day. Although said broken clock has a strike rate of 8%, which would be leaps and bounds ahead of Twomey.
