  1. Is anyone able to get through that stupid HS block for the article 'Power move for Demon wingman'? Would mostly be speculation, but a good read none-the-less
  2. I reckon a deal like Melksham + their 2nd round pick = our 2nd round pick + 3rd round pick.
  3. Bill Lawry on 12th man comes pretty close. Bill: It's not a bad idea when you think about it Richie: Yes it is Bill, it's a [censored] bad idea Bill: Oh, Yeah now that you think about it Richie: And Hansie Cronje is just as bad an idea Tony: Bloody oath it is Bill: Stupid selectors Richie: Why on earth would they be considering those 2 Bill: It's stupid Rich, ridiculous, completely lacking in logic
  4. Hate to reign on your parade rat, but Al is correct. 2013 was Mark Neeld (ok so less than a year), 2014/2015 makes it 2 under Roos, Stone was a part of the coaching group for 2014, and both Goodwin and McCartney signed on at the end of last year.
  5. Agree, don't know why, but Gaff seems to underwhelm me (even with the season he has had).
  6. The Hawks have a massive membership because they were so successful during the 80's that tonnes of people barracked for them, now the next generation are enjoying similar success. We'll never have such supporter numbers because we have been so unsuccessful for so long. In fact the majority of our members would be aging given most started supporting the club during it's period of dominance over half a century ago.
  7. That's just a bluff though. All this chest-beating by their CEO Fagan about best deal for the club, then to let him go for nothing
  8. Mate, the bloke hasn't been cited in over 2 millennia. Not interested in blokes who go missing for such long periods of time.
  9. That and he's got 2 (i presume). He can afford to give one up. He'd also halve his chances of developing testicular cancer too!
  10. Stuff the house at Altona (nothing against Altona, very nice spot), he could buy himself a yacht and sail it to Mogs Creek. When he gets tired of sailing, he could fly his Cessna he could afford to his family home and land on a makeshift runway!
  11. So do you see Corowa as North Wahgunyah, or Wahgunyah as South Corowa?
  12. Good! I like that we don't leak like a sieve anymore.
  13. I'd have him ahead of Jones too, JKH when in form he is not ahead of, and no way is he ahead of Kent when injury-free. I see him as a serviceable contributor, but in a couple of years we will be calling for him to be cut. Similar to the likes of Jones, Terlich, etc etc
  14. Agree. He is a better grab than Dawes, maybe not as prolific a goal-scorer, but Dawes has been very poor in that regard this year. What's more, Pedersen not only uses his body well in contests, but if he doesn't mark it he at least brings the ball to ground. On top of that, he can pinch hit in the ruck and is a better swing-man than Dawes could ever be. I know who i'd be selecting first to line-up next to Hogan, when both are fit.
  15. Long way to go for a drink, given your name WA Demon!
  16. If Selwood leaves for Geelong, i reckon Redden would be a good like-for like swap for them.
  17. really liked it up until i read Gawn to Sydney. Wait.........that was the first thing written.
  18. Yeah, if you're interested in riddles that will never come to fruition
  19. It's implied IT. As for Harmes, i'd keep him on the RL, hasn't done anything much to suggest that he will add something decent to starting 21 (22 from next year, yay)
  20. Given that we just announced 4 new signings, i doubt many of the still OOC players will be around come next year.
  21. What also mustn't be forgotten is that the whole WADA situation could still rule him out for 2 years. We should tell the druggies to stick their 'adequate compensation' where the sun don't shine. Our 3rd rounder and nothing more.
  22. Given that the Scum were after our pick 2 for Myers i doubt what they deem as 'reasonable' will be anywhere close to being sane. Would reluctantly part with our 2nd rounder, but only would do so given that the draft is nowhere near as good as previous years. p.s. just remembered that he is part of the drug squad, so i retract my 2nd round pick. 3rd rounder at most.
  23. I wouldn't mind bringing in both Bennell and Redden. Bennell, whilst being a naughty boy, has skill and pace to burn. Redden reminds me a lot of Daniel Cross, handy given that Crossy was made to retire this year (wouldn't of minded if he went around for another). But all will pale in comparison compared to Petracca. A midfield of Jones, Vince, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Redden & Bennell, with supporting players such as Kent, ANB, VDB and the unknown of Trengove, our midfield might start to become a strength of ours.
  24. Because whilst it's open, there's probably still a little bit of hope, lol!
