Isn't there a fine for staging? Rance loves to dish it out, but cannot take one ounce of it back. After that dog act of hitting Watts in the back of the head last year, he is the last person who should take offence when either himself or a teammate get in to a bungle for what he deems as unnecessary conduct. Plick.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

Darling can be good at times and poor at times...........................so a Jack Darling either way. -
his veiled threats are wearing so thin (not that they ever had much weight in the first place), not even the head honchos at the AFL seem to be intimidated by him like they once were. Clearly a sign that McChins is losing his (what he and anything Filth associated believes is their divine right) influence. As much as i want to see him gone from the AFL landscape, i just as much want to see him go down with his sinking ship, deep into the doldrums where they belong. I'm not as antagonistic towards Bucks (i don't find him as intolerable), but if he goes down with that lot, good riddance.

I'd much rather that, than TMAC starting up forward. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 13
Demon Disciple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Given the Dogs don't have a huge ruck presence, i don't mind Spencer's non-selection. He will more than likely be selected for the game next week and depending on how Max is tracking, will probably make way for him against the Swans the following Friday. Given we then have a 9 day break, it allows Max enough time to recover from his first game in a while, but if he doesn't, Pencil is good insurance to come in if Gawn needs a bit more time to recover. -

He'd probably be automatic first 5. Gawn, Hogan, Petracca, Oliver, Lever -
As much as i want Gawn back in the side, like Hogan, i only want him back when he is 100% cherry ripe. If Spencer is ready, give him a go. I'm sure he'd be hungry after getting his call-up only to get injured the following game.

That pass to Melksham just before 3QT from the centre was a thing of beauty

He is close, but not done just yet. Give him a run on the wing or up forward.

Jack Watts Is Better With Titanic
Demon Disciple replied to Engorged Onion's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah...........no. Give me the atmosphere of the crowd as Nut runs onto the loose ball, followed by Watts' run inside 50, then the Demon faithful all go up. -

Oscar still needs to come to terms with the speed of the game at AFL level. He is a little too slow at times, which causes him to panic and rush some things (like a couple of those kicks early in the game). He's still very raw and young (in terms of a KPP), so these things mistakes will happen (Weitering is no saint and he was #1 pick). Like the rest of the team, he played much better in the second half. A good step forward and hopefully it does his confidence the world of good.

The other half just wish they had no idea who TGR is!

Or in this case, a winner

You'd never find Howe in a position where even the slightest amount of physical contact would be coming his way. That's the difference between the 2. That's why i will always have respect for Dunny, and why i will never have any for Howe. He's soft as butter and remains a massive downhill skier.

Alex Fasolo battling mental demons.

If i was Fasolo, i know where i'd tell Slobbo to go. -
Should've told him it beats the heck out of waiting in line at Centrelink for his fortnightly dole check!

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
Demon Disciple replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
JKH continually offers nothing. Nut is very similar to Kent, yethe still finds a way to impact games even when he is having a dirty day, Kent on the other hand would be better off simply sitting in the stands on his bad days. -
We still need some more leadership, class and guts & determination in the midfield. Get her in.

The Cam Pedersen Appreciation Thread
Demon Disciple replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
TMAC is no good up forward. Put Pedders there, he can help out Max by relieving and Max can rest forward. At least we know that when Max is resting on the bench, Pedo can take most of the duties with TMAC being half decent to help out Pedo. -
Why this team refuses to play 4 quarters is beyond me. Do they just expect to turn up and for it to fall our way? Do we expect that we will still work our way back into games when we are behind? (we have been in every game this year) For the sake of your supporters' physical and mental health, how about playing good football right from the get go then continuing to do so for the full 4 quarters Dees? A win's a win, but i reckon i have had my life shortened by 5-10 years this season.

Give him a spell in the 2nd's. Dent his pride so he comes back breathing fire.

"Melbourne's Clayton Oliver has six disposals at 100 per cent efficiency in the last ten minutes to be a key to the Demon's comeback" Done not too much all day, but when needed the kid rises up. Give him a couple more seasons to get his tank 100% and develop his outside game and he'll be the champion mid we have so long been needing
