WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Demon Disciple replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't doubt you Wise, but what can the Hawks give? May is not a Free Agent, and they gave up their first rounder for this year in last year's trade period. That only leaves them with next year's first rounder. Sure they still have some decent players' but last year showed that none of these players' want to leave. -
Salem naturally comes back in, maybe bring in Stretch as well for some extra run.

Hibberd T.McDonald Hunt Jetta May Frost A back-line like above has a lot of pace, flexibility and hardness. The positive thing is that we have 5/6 positions filled already. May might not be the player we are targeting, but it is clear that we lack another quality KPD. -
North Melbourne has only lost the free kick count in 1 game for the whole year (19-20 against the Giants in round 2). They have been given an absolute gift by the umpires for the entire year.

May is a much better backman than OMAC. That is reason enough to try and bring him (or any KPD for that matter) into the team, so we can improve as a team. There are still way too many question marks about OMAC to consider him a part of our best 22. May would definitely be included in our best 22. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Demon Disciple replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
He's tough, doesn't panic, prefers to kick it out of defense, a good disposer of the ball, attacks the ball and wants the ball. Fast becoming the general of our back line (if he hasn't already). -

Wouldn't mind having him in our back line. TMAC is not a forward, he should only be used as one as relief or last resort only. Plus it gives time for the likes of Frost and OMAC to further develop their game back at Casey. We need to try and bring in one of May, Thompson (pipe dream) or Lever. It would help settle our back line down. Leslie played alright for them too, so maybe another possibility? -
Freekick count = 14 - 14 Funny what happens when that pr!ck Nicholls doesn't umpire our games.
-
Does anyone know if Trac got injured in the second half? Had 12 touches to half time, finished with 15.
-
7 kicks 28 handballs. I know he is in the guts, but he needs to even up that disposal count. If he does, he'd go to another level.
-
Move them to Tassie. Would rather they fold and the AFL form a new Tassie team, one that wasn't the remnants of the GC.

OMAC us simply not good enough for AFL level football yet. I don't like that we are gifting him games. He isn't the only one though. It's about time the team selectors start giving games to those who earn them. Look at Harmes, he went back to the 2's and had to force his way back into the team. He was a major contributor in turning the tide in the third quarter. Weideman is not ready for AFL footy and was sent back to Casey, OMAC should be right there with him. -
Yes a win is a win. I'll take it, but i don't have to like it. Hope the players' have the same attitude towards it too. What we served up in the first half cannot be swept under the carpet. Hopefully the break will allow the FD to really look into it and do something productive about it.
-
We have still yet to account for the pathetic performances we give for 50% of the game. We have some serious attitude problems at the club that need to be addressed (and should have already been addressed) asap.
-
As Dees supporters we are unable to forget, but the performance in the first half is simply unforgiveable. Changes must still be made. Don't want to put the mozz on it (should we win), but i've never gone to sleep really angry after a win, frustrated maybe, but never angry. Only the MFC.

Plonk Pedo there, Watts has done nothing all game, so should be fresh enough to ruck out the rest of the game
-
He can find the ball, is creative with it, likes the rough stuff and seems to kick accurately and make the most of his chances. Though he is not the best disposer. That's 5/6, Kent is 1/6 at most. He can join Tyson as trade bait at year's end.

I needed to quote you post Deev, to make me feel like i got something worthwhile out of it. I want my 30 seconds of scrolling back.

Watch us run out of nrg in the 4th due to getting so far behind. Same old, same old. Just as an FYI, what is the wind doing?
-
This will be the feeling of the majority of supporters even if we do get up. Though we won't. Time for the CEO and Pres to come and read the riot act to all and sundry.
-
Problem is, the person swinging the axe doesn't appear to have much of a clue either.

We'll be lucky to get 35,000 members next year.

Dees vs Saints - took a while to get going, but we played good footy Dees vs Blues - We didn't play well, but won. Dees vs Cats - Injuries sure, but we couldn't take our chances Dees vs Freo - Pathetic all game Dees vs Tigs - Injuries again, but another game we should've but couldn't win Dess vs Bombers - Didn't play well but still got the win. Dons were tired. Dees vs Hawks - Pathetic start, and didn't get much better Dees vs Crows - Cannot compute Dees vs North - didn't played 1st or 3rd quarters Dees vs Suns - Pathetic all game. Of all 10 games so far, we have been better than ok in just 2 of them. The entire football department has to be put on notice. We have produced a pathetic season so far, and have undone all of the progress we had made under Paul Roos. Our W/L record and % flatters us way too much, We are not even a shadow of last years team.
