Wow, only 15 times since 1991 have we had a player selected as an AA. 25 years with with approx 550 positions up for grabs, we have netted 15 of them (2.72%). That just makes me sad.

His kicking is absolutely lethal and it sticks out like a sore thumb (given the disposal of our other backmen). However, Salem has failed to show enough hunger and desperation for the ball for mine. He is valuable to our side no doubt, but he is not indispensable for the right offer.

One pick ain't going to do anything for that club. They are in a worse state off-field than we ever were. Loved how Leppitch is having a sook about how they get nothing from the AFL (an academy and priority access comes to mind, Leppa) yet this club only 12 years ago played in their 4th consecutive GF. Short memories with that club up there. Their incompetence off-field is unbelievable (though their CEO has very little idea of running a football club imo), and their list manager is a complete dill (3-years @ $1.2m for a glorified outside runner, wow).

Off the Rookie List, i'd de-list Michie (maybe get him to sign up with the Scorps, as he does excel at VFL level) Off the main list (whether or not they are contracted or not) those first to make way would be (in no particular order): Dawes, Lumumba, Dunn, Newton, Garland, Grimes, M. Jones and Terlich. There is still many on the list who need to go, if we are to continue to improve. Almost a quarter of the list is still what i would deem as not up to AFL standard. Prior to Roos, it would've been close to only a quarter that was, so Roosy's tenure has seen an improvement to 50% of our overall list. Quite a dramatic improvement in the space of only 3 years.

If i was a Dorks supporter, i couldn't really care less if that was the case. Played in 5 GF's in the past 8 years (4 in 4) and have won 3 in a row. As much as i hate their arrogance, their recent success has given them reason to be. I for one am [censored] envious. When will it be our turn?
