  1. And how they sooked it up big time last year when they weren't wanting to pay too much for Gibbs. Hypocrites. It's well known in industry circles that when it comes to trading, we play fairer than most.
  2. hope we front end the crap out of it, so that we'll have enough for the likes of Petracca, Oliver and co
  3. We should trade our pick 10&27 for picks 16&17, then give those to the Crows, see how they will like that, greedy [censored]!
  4. Rivers was a similar p[ayer who intercepted countless attacks forward. We could do with one of him in our back line.
  5. good to see he's got wood for being with the Dees
  6. I don't think it's that we fail to gut run back, but more because our turnovers are soooooooo bad that not even the best defense would be able to get back to defend with any chance of stopping the counter.
  7. What we want and what we'd get are 2 completely different things. And no, i don't think Jones is worth a first rounder either (age the obvious reason)
  8. Too much for Gibbs, he's turning 30 next year.
  9. no chance. Top 20 for sure, probably top 15
  10. All well and good Clint, but what if no classy mid wants to come to us this year? Take them while you can get them.
  11. Our list is young enough that improvement should be an occurrence through natural development and experience, but i agree that can only take us so far. If we want to get involved in the deep end of September, we're going to need as much A-grade talent (or as close to) that we can get our hands on.
  12. Don't need to. How many times was Clarry penalised from the umpires for what they thought were throws but were actually handballs? Maggots keep on screwing us!
  13. I see him as a Rivers type, floating back/across to intercept the ball. Be that as it may, we don't have a decent one of those (nor would i say that we have a good 1v1 KPD). Given there are no "good" 1v1 defenders on the market atm, i'd be happy to bring him in. You never turn down the chance to land a quality player. I'd also be going hell for leather for Tom Lynch (who comes off contract next year) - Him and Hogan up forward would be supremely better than Hogan, Watts and Weideman.
  14. We need as many uncompromising mids that we can get our hands on. Too many on our list pick and choose when they want to perform.
  15. Well if today is anything to go by, Lever can't get here fast enough. Our backline is getting hammered.
  16. Agree, would prefer to hang on to Frost even if Lever came across
  17. If Charlie Cameron moved to Brisbane, then possibly.
  18. As they go through their re-build, North are going to be rather irrelevant (a lot like we were for the majority of the past decade). If getting Dusty keeps them in the limelight, then it's obvious that's the direction they are wanting to take. But why on earth he'd want to go from the Tiges (arguably the biggest club in the AFL at the moment), to one of the smallest is beyond me.
  19. And he was equally good on either foot.
  20. His year for a second year player is something this club hasn't seen for a very long time (if ever). However, his start to the year was way more influential than the 'form' he is in now. I know he is a handball first type of guy, but we need him to be more willing to kick the ball. He is only one of a few that have tried to continually stand up during our form slump of the past month (as admirable as that is), but his reliability also means that it is him we need to count on really imposing himself on the remaining games, as few others seem to want to throw their hat into the ring. He's gonna need to adopt the mantra of "if it has to be, it's up to me". An indictment on the so-called leaders of our club.
  21. Um, no. After today's effort, i'm going to have to disagree with you on that McQueen. We can't defend [censored].
  22. apparently Dons are gunning for him.
  23. He came in the same off-season that we drafted Salem and Tyson and Hunt (so end of 2013). There's a video out there somewhere that shows Hunt with all his mates as his name is read out, and it is definitely Taylor that reads it out.
  24. He looks a completely different player when he back himself in, as opposed to when he plays timid and looks like a bunny in the headlights.
